Update Statement. This week - thanks to Rayne's return - we bring you a beautiful Places entry that has been quite a while in the making - the Aerelian Lakes! Add to that the belated Valentine's entry about the Lovewort Flower (Bard Judith), the "Klas and the Bear" story by Valan complementing the Gaffer Klas entry, and several pics like the on illustrating the Red Diamond Butterfly, the Haloen's Tail (Seeker) or the portrait of Amalthea Eithar. Plus there are several more pics that go with food/beast entries (Bard Judith). We round the update up with more Overviews and first entries in the "Hiveling Storybook", where we now collect all things associated with this mysterious creature, put together meticulously by Seth. More to come in this respect!

Coming Up. Next time we hope to have more on essential magic concepts for you, also further updates on the mentioned "Hiveling Storybook" will follow. Maybe we'll even get the Páelrhem Elves ("Cloud Elves") over there in Nybelmar on site. Jonael and Seeker are also working on a top secret project, so maybe we'll have to show you something there soon as well, so stay tuned!

 Herbarium Added Deciduous Trees Overview, collecting all the trees that fall in this category on ojne single page (Seeker)
Updated entry on the Haloen's Tail, adding illustration of this uniquely shaped flower found in the Scattersand Shoals region (pic Seeker)
Added Lovewort Flower, a large, perennial, Sarvonian flowering plant which produces a resin used to prevent or forestall conceiving in human females (pic and text Bard Judith)
 Library Added story "Klas and the Bear", to the halfling folk-tales collection, the "Book of Blessedtales", dealing with the hobbit folk-hero Gaffer Klas (Valan Nonesuch)
Added a new book titled "The Hiveling Storybook", where we collect all hiveling related texts. We start off with a few first entries in this book, which are Shabakuk's "The Bee's Gift" and Seth's "Naule and the Ancestors' Song", "The Nohopuku" and "Dronomin and the Losthane". All texts are of course also available in downloadable format (Seth Ghibta)
 Misc. Updated entries on the Travellers Stew, the Dark Stryke Shark, the Packox, the Orcen Larder and the Quagga Horse adding illustrations of the various dishes (pic Bard Judith)
Updated the Miscellaneous Development Rules, adding details on how to do Fairs, Celebrations and Festivals (Valan)
 People Updated entry on Amalthea Eithar, adding illustration of the Council Member of the Ruling Council of Voldar. Note that the entry itself still isn't made according to our current template (pic Bard Judith)
 Places Added entry on the Aerelian Lakes, a series of six sapphire-blue lakes found south of the Aurora Fields in the Vardýnnian Province of Santharia (Rayne Avalotus)
 Races & Tribes Added Famous Orcs Overview, collecting personalities of importance who have been honoured by an entry in the Compendium so far (Seeker)
 Team Added song "Dek the Halls of the Compendium" to the Santharian Seasonal Tidings section at our "Odes to the Team" page (Deklitch Hardlin)

Update Statement. Despite the fact that preparation time for this week's update had to be limited and some things therefore will have to wait till the next one, there's nevertheless enough to enjoy: Like pictures on the Zarathian Dagger, the Farseer Device (both Seeker) or of the wind spell Shape Smoke (Faugar). In addition we've got several pictures for our Food Overviews, this time there are Soups and Stews and some more Meat for you (Bard Judith). Other highlights: The prominent hobbit folk hero Gaffer Klas shows up for the first time (Valan), the Hiveling Storybook is started (Seth), we've got another medicine entry on Surgical Procedures (Seeker and Kelancey). Furthermore thy story of the year 2010, "The Journey" is now available in an improved version, also featuring a musical theme by Vladeptus - and finally: With the Spear of Evathón we get Ridgen Sú'ufanán's very first entry up on site! Congratulations on that, Ridgen!

Coming Up. We've got some more details on poisons in store, also something entirely new, namely a mother's letter to her daugher providing important advice, then we have Gaffer Klas' story for the Library - and a picture to go with the red diamond butterfly entry is in the making as well. Add to that entries on the famous Troi Ciosa, the Aerelian Lakes, and maybe some more magic stuff, and I think there'll be enough to look forward to as far as the next update is concerned. Added entry on the Hiveling Storybook, an overview entry on the Library book, which is still to be added (Seth Ghibta)
 Library Updated mystery tale "The Journey", revising the text entirely (28 pages). There were no major story points changed, but this version is the definitive one with various minor improvements in style and nuances adjusted throughout (Artimidor)
 Magic Updated entry on the Level IV Wind Spell - Shape Smoke, adding illustration of the spell's effect (pic Faugar)
 Miscellaneous Added entry on the Caéh-fish Rapier, a Sanhorrhim weapon constructed from the tailspike bone of the caéh-fish (Valan Nonesuch)
Updated entry on the Farseer, adding illustration of this optical instrument. The picture was also added to the Helmondsshire Halflings entry and the Gnorian gnomes. The initial Quellion picture was moved to the Ximax entry (pic Seeker)

Added entry on the Spear of Evathón, prized objects in the possession of the Cyhallrhim Elves. The spear was also added to the Polearms Overview (Ridgen Sú'ufanán)
Added entry on the Surgical Procedures, the practice of direct manual manipulation of an injury usually involving cutting open the body or entering an already open wound (Seeker and Kelancey the Green)
Updated entry on the Zarathian Dagger, adding illustration of this ornate dagger originating from the Zarathian tribe of Aeruillin. The Daggers and Knives Overview was also updated with the new picture (pic Seeker)
 Music Added musical piece for "The Journey", an eerie yet beautiful work which accompanies the mysterious journey Monsonius has written perfectly (music Vladeptus)

Update Statement. This time we've got just a small update for you - for one the voting on the Development Awards for the past year is still in progress, and secondly a lot of time in the past weeks went into Part II of the Mysteries of Nepris project for Santhworld, where we've made great progress. Nevertheless here's what we have: A couple of pictures by Seeker (found in entries like the Tri-Bones Game, Avennorian Ships and the Zarathian Men). Also finally on site are Altario's Vertan Men (one of the Ice Tribes up North), a particularly interesting account on the Death Rites of the Troll Shamans (Jonael) and if you're looking for healthy candy, we've got the Mallowdrop Plant (Ganinon). Finally if you're into strange tales I also recommend having a look at a mysterious encounter at the "Ballad of the Headless Hiveling" by Seth!

Coming Up. The Dev Awards will be concluded soon, so expect an award update within the next weeks. Also in the works: A picture of a Zarathian dagger by Seeker, Judy's portrait of Council Member Amalthra Eithar, and lots of entries on topics like the Spear of Evathón, the Ice Giant, Maccan the False Healer, the religion of the Ash'mari Men, and even on the Paintbrush - to name just a few things.
