Update Statement. Our most recent update brings you a couple more Santharian parables and fairy tales, like "Bound For Glory" (pic Quellion) dealing with talking books, or "Lady Donarcaey's Jewelry" (pic Judy), a morality tale about jealousy. Two poems also made it in this week's update, both in the romantic vein - for one we've got "Millie and Moe", starring two harbour cats, and "Personal Ad", a curious entry for the lonely hearts section in the New-Santhalan Herald (all texts by Artimidor). Also: Avid Santhworld player Ferra Dyme made a couple of YouTube play and read videos for us, so check them out at our main Santhworld page. Thanks for that, Ferra! Finally we also have another Places entry, the Lower Fores Mountain Range (Felsid), complementing the recently added Higher Fores entry. - Hope you have fun with this month's additions!

Library Added the story "Bound For Glory" (10 pages) to the collection "Master Tribell's Miraculous Narrations", about a dispute among some prominent books deciding who is the most important of them all (Artimidor, pic Quellion)
Added the story "Lady Donarcaey's Jewelry" (11 pages) to the collection "Frethoni Book of Fables and Parables", about a reputable jeweler and his wife having doubts about her husband's faithfulness. The book itself has been renamed from "Fables" to "Fables and Parables" by the way as the texts contained are not just fables, so a title update was necessary (Artimidor, pic Bard Judith)
Updated the story "The Woodcutter Conundrum" (5 pages) in the collection "Frethoni Book of Fables and Parables", about the mysterious fate of two youths, who didn't see eye to eye (Artimidor)
Added the poem "Millie and Moe" (2 pages) to our collection of "Love Poems", telling us about two cats sitting on a roof and their romantic after-dinner discussion (Artimidor, pic Morjer)
Added the poem "Personal Ad" (4 pages) to our collection of "Miscellaneous Poems", about, well, a personal ad of someone inconspicuous, yet special... (Artimidor, pic Morjer)
Also done: a couple of revisions on recently prepared stories, making them tighter and more concise wherever possible (Artimidor, pic Morjer)
Places Added entry on the Lower Fores Mountain Range, an ancient range of peaks, brethren of the High Fores, full with mysterious secrets, some eerie, some dark, and old, old and long kept... (Felsid Greytunnel)
Santhworld Updated the Welcome to Santhworld! page adding a new section about Santhworld conquering YouTube. Thanks to Ferra Dyme we now have three modules documented in video format: "The Lorehold University", "Treasure Shoals" and "Uninvited". If you want to have an introduction into Santhworld or just want to watch how the story unfolds without thinking yourself, here's your chance! (videos Ferra Dyme)

Update Statement. In this month's update we've got some more fantastic literature for you, ranging from another classic fairy tale ("The Stone Maiden", illustrated twice by Morjer) over a poetic fairy tale ("The Dream Mill", illustrated once again by Morjer) to something more existential ("Room With a View", illustrated by, well, guess who?)... And to round it all off we've got major revisions done of all four chapters of the Santharian epic poetic novella "The Ring", including an updated and improved download version. This of course all in order to prepare the next instalment of this philosophical/existential voyage, where already introduced "characters" (if you want to call them that way) will be picked up in unexpected ways... And of course, there's also one more illustration in this text massive text done by Morjer, along with two more pictures by Seeker and Jordy. All texts in this update were written by Artimidor. - Until next update then, we wish you a lovely summer!

Library Added the story  "Room With a View" (10 pages) to the collection "Tales of Monsonius", about a mysterious ramshackle hut found up a tree in the middle of nowhere... (Artimidor, pic Morjer)
Added the poem  "The Dream Mill" (3 pages) to the collection "Master Tribell's Miraculous Narrations", revealing what you always wanted to know about the stars littering the night sky (Artimidor, pic Morjer)
Added the story  "The Stone Maiden" (8 pages) to the collection "Master Tribell's Miraculous Narrations", telling us the tale of a young giantess' most unusual dream (Artimidor, two pics by Morjer)
Updated the poetic novella "The Ring", thoroughly revising all four existing parts ("I. Return", "II. Encounter", "III. The Stranger" and "IV. The Storm"), especially the first three chapters, in preparation for the next major chapter that is in the works. Also new is an updated introduction with additional editorial notes. Furthermore the text now marks perspective changes, which are typical for this kind of loose storytelling, with capital letters to help first time readers along. Additionally updated was the downloadable version, which now features a more readable format, including a new font and a different font size. All in all with all the changes we've arrived at 50+ pages. The first chapter also now has one more illustration to offer, and so has the thir. The chapter overview was also updated with a cover illustration (Artimidor, pics Jordy, Seeker and Morjer)

Update Statement. Our fairy tales special heads into round three, with brand new stories like the whimsical "The Raccoon and the Dragoness", the more philosophical "The Gargoyle and the Pigeon" and the humorous take on dragon vs. kinght in shining armour with "Role Player's 1x1". And if you prefer your character to be a dwarf, well, dwarf friends get their very own tale with "The Only Friend" (all texts Artimidor). Some new stories were written specifically for Morjer's wonderful fairy tale-like pictures, and some older stories were updated with drawings of his, providing additional look and feel. Expect more to come in this regard! Also: Faugar contributed one more picture for this update to go with our role playing story, as did Max who got us a nice spooky skeleton for the horrors found in "Touch of Eternity".

Coming Up. More tales might be coming up, I guess, now that we're in fairy tale mood! Pictures included in this week's update

Update Statement. The first update this year brings you a fairy tale special! Not one, not two, not three or four tales, rather we've got a whole load of new stories - no less than nine brand new fairy tales written by Artimidor await in the Library! Among them maybe the first self-conscious tale in fairy tale history entitled "The Fairy Tale That Wrote Itself" (illustration by Seeker). Also we've got a fairy tale poem "The Whurgawoddle", a warped humoristic piece like "Giant Mistake" (pic Faugar), hobbits working on a new way of making holes in "The Hobbit-Hole" (pic Faugar) or there's a kind of love story with a twisted take on the traditional "happily ever after" ending - for that check out "The Beauty and the Bard"... And if that were not enough already on the fairy tale front, there are two more revised and considerably brushed up tales, also done by Artimidor. Aside from Library stuff we've also got another illustration by Seeker to go with the "Death Dance Butterfly", and then there's Felsid's very first entry on site, the "High Fores Mountain Range". Congrats on this initial contribution, Felsid, we're looking forward to more!

Coming Up. What's next? Well, probably we'll get another mountains picture to go with the High Fores by Seeker soon. And Felsid plans to complement the High Fores entry with, well, the Low Fores - neat, isn't it? Also Artimidor's fairy tale run isn't over yet, so expect a couple more in this regard, plus the odd poem or horror story thrown in for good measure - let's get that Library chock-full with interesting reads! After all, food for thought (and your imagination) are what fantasy sites are all about, eh? And there's plenty more in store. So until next time then!
