As you all may have noticed, there are a lot of Character Descriptions in this forum, and though we Administrators and Moderators try our best to get to everyone, there are Character Descriptions which fall to the second page. Once they go to the second page, the administrators and moderators don't always know if the person is still actively working on their CD or waiting for comments. If you are creating a character, please help us out by keeping your CD on the first page and occasionally giving us a tap on the shoulder if you haven't received comments in a couple of days after you have edited your CD to the comments already received.

If you are one of those people whose CD has been pushed down the page and hasn't received attention for a couple of days after editing, go ahead and post here so we know to check over your CD as soon as we possibly can. Also, a way for you to keep it at the top of the page and in the immediate eye-line of the Moderators is to make a post after you have completed the edits requested. This will bring your CD up to the top of the page, as editing alone will not bring it up.

If it has been more than 3 days, then it is appropriate to post here. If your CD has received comments or has just been posted within the last 24 hours, there is no need to post here as it make take a few hours for someone to actually post a comment. Patience is an excellent virtue we love to practice here.

Just a tip guys, to keep your CD in view of the mods and off the dreaded second page, make sure you make a post after you have integrated your comments to let us know you made edits, because editing your CD alone will not bring it back up to the top and to the attention of the mods.

This "moving up after editing" was a nice Ezboard feature we no longer have, so your help with this will be much appreciated.

It also keeps us from having to search for your CD on the second page, saving us a lot of time so we have more time to spend on comments.

To the people who post in this thread, could you please not post more than once? I will get around to commenting on your character, but my time is limited so I have to spread the commenting a little. If you still see a post of yourself requesting comments, it means I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I will. Thank you.

My CD has been up since the 15th, and I haven't had a mod's comment yet. Thorgas has made some corrections, though, which I have applied (if you are reading this, Thorgas, thanks again! You were very helpful.) I will be pretty busy over the next two weeks, so if there is any way I could get some feedback before things go crazy, I would very much appreciate it.

Hey all,
     Just wanted to let you ALL know that you have not been forgotten.  With the end of the school year, and the summer starting up, MANY of the moderators are dealing with final exams in high school, and college.  More of them are now dealing with summer vacations, caring for the kids that WERE in school, etc.  Myself I don't get more than a few minutes a day to check things out, as I am in summer classes at college, and working three jobs. 

     All of this to say, PLEASE be patient with the mods.  Use the time in between CD checks to write, rewrite, add more information,rewrite again, so that when we do get a chance to check it, the CD will be much better than when you started.  Writing is like playing music: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!  The more you write, the better you get at it!  Keep writing, you are doing great!

Hulder, it really isn't appropriate for you to post here asking that your character be commented on when he has only been posted for a day. It takes time for people to comment, and this is a perfect example. As you were posting your request, I was busy commenting on your CD, which took me some time as I did a full uri check. So please, just have patience.

i beg for your pardon, i was thinking of my other character, which may not have been made too long ago, but it seems a long while because it takes a while for me to think up stuff. I will be more Patient.

I just thought I'd drop by here. I've dropped to the second page twice. The few comments I've received from other players have been addressed but I have not yet received any official advice. Any improvement comments are welcome.

Please look at my cd. It is Elvenidir Blackstorm and it is in the middle of the second page. I have edited it a lot but now no one is posting comments. I need a mod to evaluate it because I have been waiting for months for a comment from a mod/admin.

If you want someone to make comments, it is best if we are able to see it. Please post a "bump" post in your CD to bring it back to the first page.

I apologize for not being able to check CDs. A paper is due tomorrow and I still need to finish a term project.

Hopefully I will be able to resume my normal activities after today.

Thraun you haven't incorporated the comments I gave you.  I realise I am not a mod and therefore you don't have to take them all into account, but you could at least explain why you aren't before asking for more.

Also, please make a post in your CD to bring it up to the top of the page - so we don't have to go searching for it. Makes it easier on us.

Elvana, allow me to refer you to the post above yours and the first post of this thread. Please, do not post your Character Description in this thread. Requests for comments are to be posted in this thread, not actual CDs. And you should not post a request here until your CD has gone three days without comments. You currently have two posters commenting on your CD, one of them a CD mod, with comments that you have yet to reply to. I would suggest heeding their advice.

Um...why shouldn't the normal rules apply to you, Celebriän?  :huh:

You could use the time inbetween comments to reread your CD for mistakes, as well as seeing if you can add more detail.  The more effort you put into your writing, the more the mods and other players will want to help you.  Just my two sans  ;)

Tamerwolf, you had a full uri check from a mod just yesterday. There's hardly a need for you to post here.
