Title Treasure of the Oasis

Plot Outline A cryptic letter from an anonymous writer is delivered to a young archaeologist who currently resides in Thalambath. Originally she planned on gathering an expedition to the base of the Norong Sorno volcano, following the tale of a Stratanian woman who described her ancestor’s discovery of fossilized footprints that didn’t fit the mold of any animal they knew to exist. However, with the letter came a rather tidy sum of money which was said to be but a fraction of the payment she would receive if instead she journeyed to the Oasis of Nirmenith. A “personal” treasure is what she was commissioned to find. The letter said that more would be revealed once she arrived and the last sentence was simply, “I hope you can swim.”

Well, it looks like she’ll be looking for a crew to make the journey with her.

Characters It would really be a huge plus if all of the characters could swim, however, if one or two are unable to then I might be able to work out something for them. Probably no more than 5-7 people but depending on how hectic my personal life when/if the story gets started there might be room for more.

Really all that is needed for this story is a thirst for adventure! But they need the ability and fortitude to travel a decent distance and keep up with the pace of the rest of the group. Helplessness wouldn’t work that well for this story, but if they have a useful skill then that can be overlooked.

For the administrators, I realize I will have to prove that I am capable of putting forth the time and effort to moderate a story, so, it will be sometime before I supply a detailed proposal for review. This is just to get an idea of how other members react to the general plot.

It looks interesting, but I think I'm going to have to take it easy with joining new stories ;)

Sorry :) All my fighter characters are in use at the moment, and you did say helplessness did not have a place in this story,  which is pretty much all of my other characters ;)

I'd make a place for you, helpless or not  :)

Hi Juliette,

Your set-up sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, I can't see myself having enough Santharia-time to join another story in the near future. Like Irid, I don't think I have a character that fits the description and is not already in a story.

Anyway, it's nice to see that new story ideas are flooding into Santharia.
