Title: The Caravan story Post by: Alexandre Scriabin on December 25, 2012, 12:01:23 PM Some of you here might remember this old thread: http://www.santharia.com/adv/index.php?topic=7837.0
Well, I thought I'd poke around again to see how interested today's active members would be in this idea. Here was the gist of it: Quote 1. Very organic. Relationships can be had fast, people can naturally come and go as they please, without hurting the plot line (it's a trade caravan, after all), and bandits, suspicious natives, trolls, etc. could be brought into the story merely by taking a look at some entries on the immediate area and letting the creative juices flow. 2. Location, location, location. That is, there can be a lot of them. As long as people are enjoying the story and the posts keep coming in, we can all have fun exploring those many, many areas on the map that haven't been rped at yet. 3. Plot directing. Rather simple (in comparison to other plot lines), because the mods don't need to work towards one little plot line throughout the story. Come to think of it, the whole thing would be more of a series of stories, with one name slapped onto it. 4. Easy to revive. Feeling bored? Move to a new location, meet a band of monsters, or whatever else you can think of. Is the creator (me or whoever else) just not up to the task anymore? Well, there is no grandiose plot line you have to give up to the new chief of the cherokee indians, just tell the new person in charge that it's a trade caravan, just go with it.
