Title: Archive Spotlight

Hello Fellow Santharians

In the many years that Santharia has been around, there have been many great stories that have been played here.  From time to time, (I would love to say monthly, but I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be and I forget to do things :P) I will post a random story from the Archives in order that you can read them again.

These are the stories that made Santharia what it is, and it is important that we don't forget those stories and those players and writers.

So, enjoy 2005's "The Dead Gods Book".  It looks as though it was created by Muargath and Gaynor the Damned.  I'm sure that this must have been a victim of The Hack, when some time ago, the site was hacked and some data was lost.  Most of these posts only include a first post.  Still, they are interesting posts, and those of us who have been here for a number of years can see how much the environment has changed over the years.

In particular interest to me is how much the northern locales have changed since 2005.  The descriptions of the Iceland Coast, of which I am a heavy developer, is now completely different from when this story was created and very nearly everything in these posts are no longer accurate.  Makes for a very interesting comparison. :)

The fact this story had 20 players at one time makes me so jealous, I don't think I'd ever get such a story going! Eyes on the future, eh?

Ha. Funny you bring that up that story. First successful one I started. I was Gaynor the Damned. A super edgy immortal overpowered character with a silly name, in hindsight. :graph: Not my best PC. I was about 14 at the time though, so ...

On a completely unrelated note, can anything be done about the white background and broken image links everywhere? I've been poking around converting Mathis to Forgotten Realms for DnD and my eyes are bleeding :speechless:

Mathis, I've had a similar problem when using an ad-blocker while using the site. If you're using one trying disabling it and see if it works.
