wh00p! I'm in! Okay, my charrie's reasons: she was running from a group of fallen-by-the-roadside (as it were) bandits who tried to steal her horse and her money. She is riding her horse and making fairly good time but the bandits have horses too though not as fast as Daala (Cacunai's). She saw the tavern and ducked inside. At least, that is what I see happening. Of course, I'll do whatever you think is suitable, but that  was what I was planning on. -tosses a spiffy bouquet of black (pwerty!) roses to Khiera- I am SO glad this one's active! And fast-paced! I'm on every day, almost 24/7 now I think of it... scary....

I like your idea for your entrance post!  However, i was wondering more about why she would want to solve the mystery, what would be here motivations to do so and all that.

However, you can start posting in the Regal Rusik 2 thread if you promise that after your entrance post you will elaborate more on your character's motivation/reason for wanting to solve the mystery. As long as the focus is on the mystery, you have the green light

I was thinking of letting  you start in the market place, but that would get a little chaotic with all the players there now, so you might as well start in the tavern and then move on there if you want to

I'm sorry, but seems I'm not going to post for at least a day or two. My PC broke down after I tried to install some new drivers and now it can't connect me to the internet somehow. Don't know how fatal the error is, but if I can't fix it, I'll need to re-install windows.

Mina: actually, I was hoping to get some reaction. A horrified scream *A rat! A rat! Help me!* or something like this.  But now, since I'm not able to respond, just act as if you didn't notice.

No, no, I'll work more on elaboration before I post, surely! Okay, let's see... she's got plenty of money so she wouldn't be after that... -_-... this is difficult... okay, here:

Many years ago she was hired by the Queen to care for one of the Queen's best horses, but (through little fault of Cacunai's) the horse was attacked by a pack of wolves while she was out at pasture (the horse). Cacunai got there too late and the horse died. After this the Queen was definitely not too pleased with Cacunai and now Cacunai wants to get back in her favor so she is trying to find the lost princess.

Well, that would actually be superb, except that for the purpose of this story and the overall plot, the queen is uhm ... not alive anymore lol.

Right ... how about: Cacunai ducks into the tavern to escape from the bandits that are chasing her, and upon conversation with a tavern maid etc., she realizes she is in Eresh, the Eresh with the myth/story about the missing Princess and the mysterious woods that she has been hearing about. Finding it amusing that over the years so many people are still trying to solve the mystery, Cacunai feels like it would be a worthy challenge for her if she could crack the mystery.

Well, a little corny i suppose, but how about that?

Yes, yours sounds good to me. After all, Cacunai is rather proud of her intelligence. As in haughty-proud. Maybe a little failure will bash some humility into her skull! I have no doubt I will be the last to solve the mystery. -_-

Just in case all of you haven't noticed, we now have the pleasure and distinction of having the addition of two unique characters into the story -- Fluffy Ramblers, a pack of extremely adorable (well, to me anyway hehehe) rats ... uhm, rodents, AND Bahran the Bear, who is, well, a bear lol.

Fluffy's role is what i call a "semi-NPC". He's playing in the game, and if you don't believe that rodents can solve mysteries, well, maybe Fluffy will prove you wrong  Bahran's role in the story is of an NPC -- don't worry you'll get to meet him soon enough in one of the locations when you start wandering around the woods based locations  

Yep, that's it. I'll step down from my little soapbox now  Btw people, GREAT POSTS everyone! I'm extremely happy with the pace of the story and the effort and attention that everyone is putting into their posts! All of you deserve

@ A note to ALL:

Just to let you all know, the next few days (including today) are crucial exam days for me. This means that i will be cutting my posting rounds from three times a day to once a day, or cutting down my posting time -- whichever works out lol. However, this doesn't mean that the pace will come to a halt, all posts will be replied to within 24 hours, which adds up to at least one post/response a day to everyone's post, and more if i can  So, my posts in response will be a little staggered, but they will be there. If i'm a little slow in getting back to your post, don't worry -- for example you might not get 3 responses a day if that's your usual pace, but you will most certainly get a post a day from me

By next Monday i should have all the time in the world! lol. So, till then, THANK YOU ALL for your patience and understanding
