"M'Lady, would you be of some assistance to me, the gaurd gave me wonderous directions to the inn, but alas I do not think myself able to recognise the banner. It would help me greatly, that is if you could spare a mere moment for myself?"
"Is..is that you M'Lady? forgive me I just cannot tell"

She smiled as she took the man's hand, holding it tightly, "I am here and I would be honored to escort you to the Regal Rusik Tavern." She led the man to her side before turning to answer the guard.

"Your answer will aid the Royal Guards in apprehending this man, Milady. Prince Viginold has sent express orders to detain him, and the reasons are not privy to us nor the villagers. Where did you come across the old man, and where did you last see him venture to?"

"I have already spoken to some of the Prince's subject's about the old man and they have found the little information that I have given insignificant but if you wish...

"Excuse me...I hope I'm not interrupting anything..."
"I have a few questions I'd like to inquire, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. I'm not from around here to be honest...would you mind helping me?"

She turned to the new arrival, "Ask away m'lady but I fear that I am not from here either. Have we met before?"

Turning back to the blind man, she laid her other hand over the other that lay in her own. "It shall be but a moment m'lord. I apologize."

@Kalina, Sephariath & Celestial:

"I have already spoken to some of the Prince's subject's about the old man and they have found the little information that I have given insignificant but if you wish..."

The guard nodded at Kalina's answer -- any information he managed to obtain would please his superiors very much, "Yes, what do you know about the old man?"

Before Kalina could answer though, another Elven lady had stepped into the conversation. "Excuse me...I hope I'm not interrupting anything ... I have a few questions I'd like to inquire, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. I'm not from around here to be honest...would you mind helping me?"

The guard grumbled to himself. As Kalina shifted her attention to the Elven lady, the guard gestured towards another guard that was walking back and forth in patrol, signalling for the other guard to come over and help him out.

The other guard soon arrived at the first guard's side. He was slightly shorter, and stouter. He turned towards Celestial, "Milady, please, follow me," he gestured to a short distance away, and waited for Celestial to follow him.

Heaving a heavy sigh, the first guard turned to Kalina again, and hoped that she wouldn't find some other excuse now to talk to the half-blind man besides her or something else. He sensed that Kalina seemed a little hesitant in answering his question, and that wasn't a good thing, he would have to keep a close eye on her until she answered all his questions. "Now then, Milady, please, do tell what you know about this old man that we were speaking of."

"Now then, Milady, please, do tell what you know about this old man that we were speaking of."

She sighe, the last thing she wanted was to cause trouble but she didn't see the point in relaying the same information five times to different people under the same person. "I spoke with him only briefly. All he said to me was warning not to get involved in the search for the princess, of which at the time, I have no intention of doing," She spoke softly. She hadn't decided whether or not to join the search. She has just been able to aid those who were.

"Only something of great importance would be able to convince me to not heed the man's warning," Satisfied with her answer she turned once again to the man at her side. "I apologize for the delay, I had no idea that this old man that they speak of is so important."
Perhaps I should go in search of him. He seemed as one that I would enjoy conversing with.

The guard scratched his chin, pondering on whether to believe Kalina or not. He wondered if she might be withholding information, seeing her prior reluctance. After a brief moment, he made his decision, and nodded to Kalina, "Alright, thank you Milady, you may continue on." He gestured towards Kalina and Sephariath to indicate that they were free to leave for where they wish.

@ALL:

As the guards went about the patrolling, suddenly, a man on a horse tore through their lines at a mad galloping speed.

Shouts and curses arose from the guards at the rider for not watching where he was going and not slowing down ... until they realized that it was Thaetum atop the horse, and then they fell silent.

*As the guards went about the patrolling, suddenly, a man on a horse tore through their lines at a mad galloping speed.*

The figure sped through the line and in quite a blur to Sephariath's vision, startled he almost immediately went on the defensive; he began to scan around hastily for any sign of danger.

After scanning he slowly turned to the female beside him and put his hand on her shoulder gently.

" Think nothing of the delay, I feel quite calm in your presence.....but alas I would undoubtedly be in your debt M'lady if you were to escort me to the inn."

Slowly he gazed around to see the figures of the guards once again on patrol.....

@Kalina and Sephariath:

Ok, it will just be assumed that Kalina has led Sephariath to the inn. Both you can continue posting at the Regal Rusik (2) thread :)

OOC: Okay, I'm fairly sure that nobody's here except for the guards now- please correct me if I'm wrong.

IC:

After a quick retreat from the Marketplace, Cacunai found herself outside the village, with Yerun and his pet rats (and mouse) at her heels. She glanced around nervously at the guards, then scanned the horizon for her horse, whom she had left out here when she entered the village. She did not see her mare.

Okay then, I guess I'll retrieve her later... she'll be fine... aye....

(she murmured to herself before turning to Yerun with a kind smile pasted across her face)

Well then, my boy, let us be off! To the woods it is. Think we'll have any trouble with the guards?

@Cacunai & Fluffy:

((OOC: Yep Nai, that is correct :) ))

Many of the guards on patrol were yawning and awaiting their shift change for the coming evening. It was really dull having to direct the same set of questions to every person who passed by ... but orders were orders, and either that who doing heavy work at the camps like chopping wood. The guards were smart enough to know the difference.

Spotting an elf lady and a nervous looking boy trailing behind her approaching the inspection lines, a guard called out to Cacunai, "Halt! This way please, Milady, boy. The Royal Guards would like your assistance in answering a few questions." He gestured and beckoned for Cacunai and Yerun to come forward to him.

Certainly, goodman, and what does the Royal Guard want to know today?

Cacunai flashed a winning smile at the guard who spoke and quickly closed the distance between them. She extended a hand behind her to keep Yerun quiet and to make sure he was still there and would stay that way. She had briefly considered establishing Yerun's identity as her nephew or her son, but decided that since he was not an elf, as she was, it would elicit more questions than it would answer. She could only hope that the rodents stayed out of sight.

@Cacunai & Fluffy:

Yerun obediently stayed silent behind Cacunai as he saw her hand waving towards him. Pulling his jacket tighter so as not to reveal the Ramblers, he peered nervously from behind Cacunai as the guard eyed him oddly and proceeded to question Cacunai.

"Well, Milady, did you happen to see an elderly man, very elderly, garbed in a dark hooded cloak holding a chrome coloured staff in his hand during your time in the village?"

No, I didn't. I was there only briefly to purchase provisions, and saw nothing unusual. Oh, except for a little man dressed all in red, hopping around screaming about the 1000th post. (XD)

Cacunai resolved to try to stick as cleanly to the facts as possible, except of course for names if they were asked, as she knew that any answer she may give could be used for or against her later. Also they might elicit information that could prove very useful in the coming times.

@ Fluffy & Cacunai:

The guard frowned at Cacunai's answer, "The man in red you say? Yes, seems like he's been visiting the families in the village, and handing out gifts to them! He seems pretty harmless though, and we have our eye on him."

The guard then peered curiously at a nervous Yerun again, " And where may you be heading, Milady? The hour is getting late, the roads are not as safe as they should be as dusk falls. If you're planning to head off from Eresh, i suggest you ask for shelter upon reaching the main encampment due west here when nightfall approaches. It's not safe at all for a lady and young boy to be travelling alone at this hour."

Nevertheless, the guard nodded towards Cacunai, "You may be on your way, Milady, boy."

Fluffy & Nai, I am assuming that you are heading for the woods ;)  If so, proceed posting in the Main Encampment thread. Remember that it takes about half a day or roughly 6 hours to arrive there on foot, so when you reach there it will be night, and i will post your thread time for you there.

Eve walked along side the kind woman to meet her young son in the main encampment. She looked around hearing the distince cries of birds, and due to her natural ability to understand the animals she could hear only mumbles. Their voices were usually clearer, but as she drew closer to the forest their voices seemed to become muffled. She sighed and looked at the woman, suddenly unable to remember if they had even properly introduced themselves.

"Pardon, ma'am, but I feel very rude. My name is Evelaria Magoo, but call me Eve. I am a warrior, raised and trained by the Mullogs of the Silvermarshes. May I ask what your name is? If you already told me, then I apologize, my mind seems to be a jumble of thoughts and feelings."

@Eve:

The woman and Eve made their way towards the village outskirts, where a patrol of Kyranian Royal Guards seemed to be questioning everyone that was making their way in and out of the village.

The woman smiled warmly and gently took one of Eve's hand into her own. "Oh, no, my dear, you have been very kind, and very kind to accompany me to the woods, yes ... yes, i will call you Eve, if you don't mind, my dear. And i'm Helli, ol' Helli, everyone calls me ... ah, silly me, where were my manners ... but now we know both our names --"

Helli was interrupted by the loud voice of a guard who hailed at both Eve and Helli, "Halt there! Please step over here. Either of you ladies happen to come across an elderly man in a grey cloak with a chrome staff in hand in the village?"
