Arialle and Ariel...and they look alike too.
Mina thought, rather amused at the coincidence.
She followed Arialle and Elric into the room, and took a seat at the table. Arialle spoke first, asking why they wanted to help her and Elric, to which Mina replied,
"My companion and I were thinking of heading into the Woods when we overheard Elric speaking of doing the same. We thought that the more people we had travelling with us, the safer it would be."
She then continued,
"However, we do not yet know what plans you have in mind."
Turning to Elric, she asked,
"You spoke of finding the princess, which is the reason my companion and I have come to Eresh. How do you intend to do so? Do you perhaps have some information concerning her whereabouts?"
A moment later, she suddenly spoke up again.
"Oh yes, speaking of the princess, do either of you know what she looks like? I just realised that I've been trying to find her without knowing a thing about her appearance."
she asked, looking a little embarassed.

As Ariel stepped in to Arialle’s cottage she glanced around the room briefly, taking in her surroundings.
‘It looks rather cozy if you ask me...’
A tiny smile formed on Ariel’s face as she proceeded to take a seat. Unhurriedly she lowered herself into the chair, listening to what everyone had to say...

“Why would you want to help us, Lady Mina, Lady Ariel?”
A question escaped from Arialle’s mouth. Ariel looked at both Arialle and Elric, with a smile as she spoke.
“I’m here to do what’s right, If I can aid other people along the way then I shall. It’s just what I believe in...”
Her smile seemed to get a tiny bit smaller, as she continued to converse.
“...I know the feeling of loss, and it’s not something I wish for other people to experience, I guess that’s why I’m here.”
Her smile gradually faded, and Ariel become silent once again...

@Ariel & Mina
:
Arialle listened expressionless as Mina and Ariel spoke. Her smooth chiselled face had a soft glow to it, her emerald eyes sparkling fiercely. She was a beauty by any standards. She spoke first to Ariel, her sweet yet sharp voice tinged with suspicion,
"Would anyone really help another without motive or gain in it for themselves?"
Leaving the question unanswered, she turned to Mina,
"And you and your companion are looking for the Princess as well, i see ..."
As Arialle paused briefly for thought, Mina turned to ask Elric a question,
"You spoke of finding the princess, which is the reason my companion and I have come to Eresh. How do you intend to do so? Do you perhaps have some information concerning her whereabouts?"
Elric stared down at the table and shuffled his feet under the table awkwardly,
"Well ... I wasn't really ... haven't really ... been planning to go into the woods all along ... so ... no, i don't have a plan, it was ... just decided this morning."
Feeling embaressed, he tried to sound spirited,
"But! I know someone who can help us. Lieutanent Dorrum at my outpost. He has been around the woods all these seven years, and he has probably mourned for the Princess as much as the royal family has ..."
He shifted in his seat,
"We shall meet him, and you shall see, he is wise, and would be of much help to us."
Elric nodded continuously.
"Oh yes, speaking of the princess, do either of you know what she looks like? I just realised that I've been trying to find her without knowing a thing about her appearance."
Arialle seemed to shift uncomfortably at that question. Elric made a quick glance towards Arialle, and then stammered a little,
"W..Well, the princess has b..blonde hair, l..light green eyes, and a dimple on the right cheek. I have only s..seen her once. But that was when s..she was a young girl of 8."
An uncomfortable silence fell between Arialle and Elric as Elric stopped speaking. The look on both Elric and Arialle's faces were grim.

Eve was walking along very bored when suddenly a man started shouted at her. She turned quickly automatically moving her hand towards her axes.
"You!! You killed him!! You killed him! Give me my boy back!! Give me my boy back!!!"
The man was very angry, not only could it be seen in his mouth but in his eyes, his hands, and the way he stood. Eve's eyes widened. Could he be accusing her because she was an Eyelian...they were kind people and they hardly chose to harm nature, much less a child! She walked up to the man signaling for him to quiet down.
"Good sir, please I have killed no one. You have the wrong person...I am innocent...but I can help you if you'd like. I wish no harm, but continue to falsely accuse me and I will definetly bring the pain."

A frown crossed Kiushapo's face as Jothia spoke of some kind of illness eating away at her, he didn't know if he should bothering her with his problems, but he sat where she directed and let her work.
"So my boy, you don't seem to be from around here, or I would have seen you before ... what brings you to Eresh? What would bring an Elven kind to Eresh, of all places? And you speak oddly for an elf too."
He smiled at her, the fire in his wound already cooling
"I am being from a long way from here, across the seas to the west. I was not always knowing the way of your speaking, please be forgiving me."
licking his lips, he thought over his words to make sure he had them right before he continued
"I have come to be finding the Princess, as I am being sure many strangers who are visiting you have been saying. Perhaps you are knowing something about her?"

The man was enraged by Eve's words, gritted his teeth and moved closer to Eve, lifting a clenched fist about to strike her across the face. His fist mere nailsbreaths from hitting Eve's face, the expression on his face suddenly changed from immense rage to utter horror, and his whole body doubled over and crumpled to the ground, as loud sobs started to wreck through his whole body.

@Kiushapo
:
Jothia finished dabbing away at Kiushapo's wound, and a smiled crossed her wrinkled face, pleased at healing Kiushapo's wound. As she screwed the lid back on top of the jar, she spoke, as if almost musing to herself,
"Ah, so you're not from around these parts are you, my boy? Myself, i've never been anywhere except Eresh and the capital, Caelum, once. I hope you're finding this fair land to your pleasure, my boy."
She carefully placed the jar among a row of many similar jars.
"But these are troubled times for the kingdom, my boy, and if you're looking for the Princess, i'm sure you would know how the kingdom hangs precariously from its demise."
Jothia sighed slowly.
"I suppose i should be thankful that i may not live that long to see that dark day come. Mark my words my boy, there's more to the disappearance of the Princess than Arvin or his servants, or even enemies of the kingdom."
She peered into Kiushapo's eyes,
"The enemy is
within
the kingdom."
Jothia sighed again.
"I don't know too much to aid you in finding the Princess, my boy, though i wonder why the elvenkind would be searching for a human noble. But you should speak to the weaver's daughter, Arialle, who lives next to this cottage of mine, if you wish to know more about her sister."
With that, she motioned Kiushapo towards the door with a smile on her face,
"Well then, my boy, you can be on your way now. Try not to strain your wound too much before it closes on itself and heals. My old bones need the comfort of my bed."

Smiling thankfully at Jothia, Kiushapo wished her well as he tugged on his vest and walked out of her cottage, mulling over her words.
Sister? That is meaning she is royalty! In a small town like this?
Trotting to the door of the cottage Elric had pointed out, he knocked firmly on the door.
This is seeming to be more than dueling lovers. I am only hoping we are not calling the prince down on us.

@Mina, Ariel & Kiushapo
:
Kiushapo's firm knocking broke the pregnant pause at the table. Elric's head reflexively turned to the door.
"I will get that, My Love. It might be Lady Mina's companion."
Arialle nodded slightly with a faint smile on her face, and Elric went to the door.
Seeing the tall blonde elf standing there as the door swung open,
"Ah! It is you, Milord Kiushapo! Please, come in, we were just having a discussion about ... going into the woods and making our way to the outpost."
Elric motioned for Kiushapo to step in and take a seat with the others at the table.
A frail, old voice sounded out from a dark corner,
"Arialle, who is that at the door?"
Arialle replied in a comforting voice,
"Just another friend, mother."
as she beckoned for Kiushapo to take a seat with a faint smile.
Mina, Ariel & Kiu, you should all make one post before the plot moves on. I suggest you "make good use" of that post *grin*

Eve was prepared to strike the man as soon as she felt his fist make contact with her face. She closed her eyes, unwilling to view the poor man's untimely death, but when she felt nothing she opened then and looked out at the man. He was on the ground crying, and Eve could feel the pain in his sobs. She kneeled down and raised the man's face up from the dirt path and sat him upright.
"I am sorry for the loss of your son. If you want to tell me what happened go ahead and I will help you as best I can."
She doubted that there was anything that she could do other than to lend the man her shoulder and a few comforting words.

A hasty person.
Mina thought as Elric answered her first question.
Still, this Lieutenent Dorrum might be able to help us.
"Yes, perhaps we should speak with him,"
she said finally.
Mina noticed that Arialle and Elric appeared quite uncomfortable with her question concerning the princess' appearance.
Could they be hiding something?
she wondered.
Perhaps I had better verify this information with some others.
"Thank you,"
she said, but nothing more, for she did not want to make them any more uncomfortable and suspicious than they already were.
Ariel apparently had nothing to say either, and it was uncomfortably quiet until Kiushapo arrived.
"Yes, do join us,"
Mina said after Elric,
"Is your wound better now?"

@Eve
:
The man's expression was one of utter daze and confusion as Eve gently raised his face to her gaze. Streaks of grimy tears coated his cheeks. He stopped sobbing, and just looked at Eve as if he was staring into space.
The patter of feet could be heard approaching. A middle-aged woman with cropped greyish-hair came running towards Eve and the man, panting for breath. Upon reaching the two of them, she grasped the man hard by his shoulders and forcefully pulled him to his feet,
"Torval! What do you think you are doing??!!"
She proceeded to shake him hard, but his face was a blank slate of expression.
Looking towards Eve, the woman's face was full of concern and worry,
"Oh dear ... Milady, you are not hurt are you?"
She looked Eve up and down, as if looking for signs of bruises or injuries,
"I'm sorry Milady, my husband ... my husband ... loses his mind sometimes, and he goes around hurting people, please forgive him, he's ... he's harmless ... he really is."
She looked towards her husband, eyes full of loss and sadness.

Bowing graciously to Arialle, Kiushapo took a seat next to Mina smiling as she inquired about his wound
"It is being all better, thank you.
Turning his attention to Arialle and Elric he continued speaking, studying Arialle more than Elric
"I was learning something interesting from the healer though, but I am thinking some of us are already knowing about this.
Winking at Arialle, he leaned back in his chair,
"It is turning out that the lady here..... is the princess' sister. I have not been hearing the townspeople mentioning royalty living here, so I am suspecting you are wishing to keep this a secret, why?"

@Ariel, Kiushapo & Mina
:
Elric returned to his seat as Kiushapo seated himself, feeling a little uncomfortable as he noticed Kiushapo studying Arialle intently. Arialle however, maintained a fixed, firm gaze at Kiushapo as he spoke,
"It is turning out that the lady here..... is the princess' sister. I have not been hearing the townspeople mentioning royalty living here, so I am suspecting you are wishing to keep this a secret, why?"
Her gaze yet unwavering, and unresponsive towards Kiushapo's light-hearted wink, Arialle spoke in a monotone with a gentle and sad lilt,
"Perhaps if no one has told you, then you are not meant to know, Milord Kiushapo."
Just then, the figure that was by the dark shadow of the corner hobbled out. It was the figure of a lithe, middle-aged woman, her dirty blonde hair tied neatly up in a bun, but what struck out was her milky white eyes, almost as if a thin film covered her eyes, her iris was not visible at all. Her head faced straight forward looking towards the front door, but it seemed that she was rasping out at the little group that was gathered at the table,
"A secret?! A secret??!! No, it was a shame!! A shame!!!"
She was visibly very emotional and upset.
Arialle left her seat and gently held on towards the woman, directing her to the last empty chair at the table and helped sat her down. It was evident that the woman was blind.
"Mother, please."
As she tried to soothe and calm her mother.
At this point, Elric took over, and spoke to all who gathered at the table.
"It is no secret."
He clenched his fists tightly on the table.
"Only a secret to those who feel ashamed! My dear Arialle's mother, was a consort of King Aprag. Arialle was born into court after Prince Viginold, and was much loved by the King. Three years later, the Princess Nalaere was born. That was when all the trouble began."
Arialle spoke as she comforted her mother, who was upset and shaking,
"When my sister ... or rather, half-sister, was born, the Queen grew hatred for me. My mother was a mere commoner, yet i had the features of the royal bloodline. Alas, for reasons all of us did not know, my sister did not. She was born blonde of hair instead of crimson red, and her eyes were more greyish-green than deep emerald green."
She shook her head forlornly,
"My father ... the King, doted on me, but less so of Nalaere. This angered the Queen, and one day, out of sheer hatred and anger, she blinded my mother."
Arialle briefly swallowed and wetted her lips before continuing,
"The King did not want further harm to come to either of us, and he secretly spirited us away to Eresh, a place where he thought no one would sought to look. In my absence, the King doted upon my sister, and all was well. That was until my sister and my brother came here seven years ago, and who would have known that of all the places in the Kingdom, they would choose to come here? But when my sister was lost, it grieved my father so much that it has been said he is gradually losing his mind."
Kiu & Mina, make one more post before the plot moves on ... it can be a short post if you like, a thinking post. Or, if you have good questions to ask, ask away

Mina was rather surprised at Kiushapo's revelation, and quite alarmed that he chose to confront Arialle and Elric with the information. It was too risky, she thought. Fortunately, it seemed the gamble paid off. Rather than getting defensive, Arialle chose to reveal her background.
Mina decided that she would take this opportunity to ask some questions herself.
"Well, since you were here when the princess disappeared, could you tell us what happened at that time? Elric told me that the prince and princess entered the Woods alone, with no guards. I'm quite curious as to why they did this, and why so little is known of what happened to the princess if the prince was with her when she disappeard."
Pausing for a moment, she then continued with her next question,
"Also, I noticed an elderly man leaving this cottage just before we arrived. He appears to be the same one I had seen at the tavern yesterday, being persued by some Guards led by an elven knight named Valannia. Who exactly is he, and why are they looking for him?"
She hoped that she would be able to get some useful information out of this.
