The Thirsty Herald's New Years Party

[Kaikana]

Still weak at her knees and lying on the floor, Kaikana managed to look around the tavern one last time before attempting to get up. She realized Ana was finally closing up, and a sign of relief came over her. She was exhausted, hungry and in pain. But Kaikana tried hard as she could to help Ana with some of the cleaning. She thoughtfully stumbled towards the straw broom leaning upon the wall in the kitchen. Struggling, she tried to sweep most of what she could away and wipe off the tables. She brought most of the left over plates which where on the table into the kitchen. She began to wipes and wash but exhaustion took her. She walked back over to where Ana was and lay down the cloth she was using beside her.

“Hey Ana, I uh, think I’m gonna hit it, I so beat and I’m sure this headache ani’t helping’, hopefully you understand. And I promise I’ll be up early to finish the dishes before we open.  See yea in the morning’ hun.” spoke Kaikana while heading out off the tavern and into the cool evening breeze.

“Really?“

Lori looks with big, tired eyes in the beautiful elf‘s face, listening to the music of her voice. She has thought about going back to the stable and up the ladder, but this was much better, just in case the two bad men came back to get her. So she just smiles back and trying to be very grownup she says:

“It would be a pleasure for me!“

Ana‘Mirl looks around the tavern, most guests are in their rooms now, just Lortz is still eating.

“Lortz, if you don‘t mind, just take a nap on this bench over there, I‘m afraid our rooms are taken. And good night till tomorrow.“

Ana‘Mirl finally closes all doors and goes to her room.

"that sounds good, might as well get up there while I'm still awake to do it"

She yawned and slowly made her way up the steps, walking back to her room to find her food and ale waiting for her.
She tossed her bag and other things aside after getting dressed and ate her food, climbing up into the bed for the night.
