EDIT: ok, after reading the posts, you want me to say i'm already in the city or moving to the city? and if i am in the city, can i control some townsfolk (aka, walking up to them and exchanging greetings, i cant say what info i get because i dont know it lol)

Just to tell everyone about more on Severine's plan:

remeber the npc soldiers that wanted to join with Severine on his quest? Well I'm going arrange for them to come back into the story. They orignally had changed their minds and styed in Sheren, but left a few days after our party has left to catch up with Severine and crew. They finally catch up with the group, which makes Severine plan of being captured easier: the soldiers pose as legion soldier wannabes and take Severine into the city as their prisoner in order to get a spot into the legion.

Am I correct in thinking that we're going through the sewers no matter what?  If so, it'll affect exactly what informartion Kyros got from the other Nehtorian (to give us a reason to detour through the sewers).

um, so how should I hop into the story?

Any way you want.... so long as it doesn't contradict something that's happening.  Write about your character entering Marcogg.  Or you could be at the ball.

Best that you tie it into your character's own background.

It looked good to me.  Consider that there are other cells down there too.  However, since neither Kyros nor Luca mentioned how close those other cells are, the description you gave should be fine.
