The Raid On Ranulf´s Outpost

[Bran Stahlfang]

This story takes place in 1622 a.S.
It is about orcs invading the territory of the Kuglimz in the area around where the Louquador-Rivers meets the Snake-River, just where an outpost of the Helvet'ine is located. Ranulf Hendelsson is the one in charge there. The orcs of the Losh-oc-clan have set up their camp 2 miles away from the outpost and have already attacked the outpost one time. They were fended off, but most of the men at the outpost´s garrison were killed.

Now, the Players (4-8 all in all), start off within the wooden palisades of the outpost (or most likely in the small tavern) several days before the attack. They will have to form a small commando after the attack. One will probably be sent to the next kuglim village to get help. The remaining players will have to risk their lives and try to assassinate the leader of the orcs, sneaking through an ancient riddle of tunnels.

The 4-8 Players will have to consist of at least 2 Healers, a fighter and an archer.

Sleep, eat, sleep, fight, eat, fight, eat, sleep.

We prefer that RPGs are not started outside of Santharia. If you can get enough members logically to that area, then I have no problem, but I warn you that it may be a bit difficult.

I'm also a bit confused on this series of tunnels you mentioned. Where are they? How were they made? Who made them? I know of no tunnels in that area.

You've got a good idea, I think. I like that it's isolated, giving the ability to develope a strong central scene.

the tunnels are...simply there, duh!

i don´t know why i wouldn´t get enough players to that area...most of them are wanderers anyway

Sleep, eat, sleep, fight, eat, fight, eat, sleep.

[Bran Stahlfang]

the tunnels could have been built by this spider-creature-race-thing-whatever...but if the players do the right things they won´t encounter any of those

Sleep, eat, sleep, fight, eat, fight, eat, sleep.

[Bran Stahlfang]

there´s still the sea-way. and there are also people living north of the tandalas (kuglimz, elves in the shaded forest, and whatnotelse...). there are certainly enough. and you don´t have to know where the tunnels are, i have to know (just this: they are around the location where the outpost is). i can still make up something else about who built the tunnels. kuglim miners maybe, digging for ash-salts (nic3 how they fit in here, eh? ^^).

Sleep, eat, sleep, fight, eat, fight, eat, sleep.

[Bran Stahlfang]

merchants would sail there. kuglimz are pretty good artisans and blacksmiths.

and:

Quote: (just this: they are around the location where the outpost is)

- which is located at the spot where the Louquador River spits out the Snake River.

In the end i´ll probably have an entrance to a system of mines, built by kuglimz mining for ash-salts. there will have been an accident, a braking-in of several tunnels maybe.
hm, maybe i´ll have a necro down there enjoying the fun of reanimating the dead miners

...and i´ve never been asked to have Angron or Bran end up in Santharia...although they are, now.

Sleep, eat, sleep, fight, eat, fight, eat, sleep.

Rayne, if there are players that want to join this story, why not have the players worry about why they have journied there? Not an argument for or against the story, just a question I want to pose.

To me everything "appears" to be in order. But I want the OK of another admin before this goes forward.

Agree with Mina. I don't really mind that Peter Jackson made a movie, which is not 100% accurate to the LOTR, and in the same way I don't mind if not everything in a story is 100% prepared in advance and has all Santharian details included. It's preferable of course, but not really necessary not to start a story.

Have I said anything in this thread at all?

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force.

That did seema bit funny reading that post.

[Bran Stahlfang]

ehem...well?

in only got next week to get this running, the school starts again...not that i´m in a hurry, it would just be very comfortable for me if the story could start before school...

OK.  I like the story, I hope it works.

Bran, you are ok to go and recruit players for your game. Once you have the players you need, let us (the admin) know, then we can set up the forum for you.
