Well for future reference there Pike, Synder did offer to help him with the Inn ... so if you need help just hire her.   It would also help since she is a bit POOR and needs the income ^.^

Kain are you playing as an NPC or are you actually in the party? If you are in the party it would be nice to have a CD to look at.

EDIT:  Uh I'm fairly sure Derek said the weather is NICE, defined as comfortable, not hot and gloomy and sweaty. I think the misconception started with me, and probably was fostered by a lack of CD in the proper thread. For this I appologize... (I find myself doing that too often here!) Kain cannot stand the sun, Moh'epher drains his energy to sustain its existance in the banefull light. This is why he is uncomfortable. Unless you have talked it out with Derek.... you guys should like the weather, right?

Kain I kinda need to know what you do with the few sans you got out. Do you give them to Synder or nonchalantly to the barkeep? It has some bearing on how she would react to the situation.

Good morning class. Today we will discuss Elysia's abilities in regard to my last post.  Only Elysia is able to perceive the spirit of the girl. Also, she is the only one able to see the pools of blood as they are essentially a part of the girl (in a manner of speaking ). Everything said by the spirit can only be heard by Elysia, the exception being when Emmy speaks through Elysia's lips. Basically, you all can only hear one side of the conversation (everything that Elysia says).  The ethereal light near the end of my post is also not visible to anyone else. Obviously, any actions performed by the girl while possessing Elysia are visible to everyone.  Any questions?

Btw, the girl died from the Milaelean disease if anyone is curious.

Magic is scarce in the city of Milkengrad as the Helcrani hold little appreciation for it, preferring science to magic. I wouldn't go to the extreme of Elysia being called a witch, or at least not the extreme of being accused and tried as they did during the Salem witch trials (American history for all you foreigners ). The Helcrani would look upon Elysia and any other magic users with disdain, but they don't hate magic to the extent that the Remusians do. So if Kain casts any spells, he'll be treated with the same disrespect as Elysia will now be.  

Btw, what's a girl gotta do to get noticed around here?  Elysia has been unknowingly teasing the males with glimpses of her body, yet Kain continues to lust after the tomboy! Is it because she has bigger breasts?!

@Kain:  I will edit my post, my apologies.

@Elysia: I don't think anyone in the Inn would consider her anything but maybe a bit crazy. As there was no visual effects of what happened to her, the guard may think so and a few patrons may have found her very odd. But overall I would say not labeled a "witch" .... yet.  

Synder is broke Elysia, she spent all her money for the breast reduction on alcohol .... they seem to attract crazy mages.  

I also think that there are very few male characters in the Inn as of yet. The only others outside of Kain are Monty and Likep but I think Synder would prefer her men not heavily bearded and over 4 foot tall.

I fit that description... being almost seven feet tall and lacking facial hair...

The reasons Kain does not see you are two fold. He is a very focused person, and cannot concentrate on two things at once. He will not note any of the other female or male characters for a long while. You should observe that the only characters he even seems to know exist are Syder and Likep. Had she had money, he would not have even seen Likep. He did not note the gaurd either. The second reason is that your CD states that she is kinda skinny. Gaunt... Gaunt is not supreme beauty and only a kind of sensual, divine beauty can attract a person who has been judging from a bias of pain for the last two centuries. So you are kind of right, it is because she is more full featured. Also you describe a deadness of the eyes. This kills any chance she has of being the kind of beauty that would attract Kain's more protective side. Though the actions would be precieved by a human to be very sexual and exciting, Kain has seen too much of the same to be impressed. Instead he will simply lable you as a kak sniffing whore. He is mean like that. That has no refelction on how much like the character, it's just how Kain is. Also, Synder has a freaking Shamshir, whats kewler than that?!?! Nothing!

@Kain: Aww... I was hoping to have Elysia (and no you didn't spell her name right  ) corrupted by someone during the progress of the story. As in due to their lustful advances, she'd lose her naivete about men and maybe even her virginity (not willingly!). If you can't rely on a crazy mage, then what is this world coming to?  

But you're right, she is gaunt and her eyes tend to be lifeless. Hehe, she could be a model!   As the party is mainly females right now with the exceptions of Kain and Monty (does Monty even count?  ), Elysia will have to be corrupted by a char that joins later on in the story.  

@Synder: With a slash of her dagger, Elysia could perform the breast reduction.   Alas, she is not a fighter and would likely cower in fear if attacked.   Wow, I'm jealous of you because you're being lusted after by an insane mage. What's wrong with me?!

He is not really insane, The power of Moh'epher can easily overwhelm even those of strong will, it just takes time. He regrets what he does. If you want, you could be assaulted by Kain when Moh'epher takes a hold of him, which would certainly cause you to distrust any male, since Kain is not the one to apologize, or even explain himself.

Anyways, it's not like Kain is a prize man anyway. He is brooding, and pale, with blood red tatoos and scrawny. Though the CD does say that he is dashing in an evil windswept sort of way...

His attraction is not like a human wanting a woman in any way, it is a distant respect. She is like a part of the greater divine to him, something wholly unique and pure, without the taint that he despises within everything. Thus he is also repulsed by her, because of her drunkedness. Kain really has never felt love, and does not even understand the feeling. Noone has ever loved him, and he has never felt the connection that is required for love to be felt.

@Monty:

I don't see were you get shifty. Kain is focus, and concentrates on only one thing. His movements are fluid and gracefull, like a morning chill. If you would like to cite the creepy facter, it would be better to go with the look in his eyes, or the tatoos which adorn his face and palm, or the gaint sword on his back which practically shouts blasphemy!
