"I got me self another bloody scar today. On the Bloody Cutlass, that bloody ship. 'N'ways, the Cap'n, a bonny lass by the name of Bernice Iron had my swabbin the deck and a ship came o'er the horizon. Caught the name painted on the bloody side in big bloody letters. Some bloody Santhurian thing called the Sea Cat. So I up and called the Cap'n and her and her mates came up. We ended up boarding the bugger. While I was beatn' some bloody Nybelmearen another one of the buggers came up behind me. I 'erd him coming so I turned, but I got a nick on the arm ''nway. Well, just another part of the collection."

"Damn Davy Flint. Mad Davy Flint. Fitted him, ya know. He was off his bloody rocker. He was always very theatrical. Never tucked matches in his hat, but ye get the idea. Every gesture was overblown, he never really waved, he'd always bow or shake hands. Tightly too. Bloody bastard gave me this bruise. Right here, on me thumb! See it? But besides that.... 'e loved 'is booty, ya see? He'd make huge lists of ever'y thing 'e owned and 'ed always be gettin' more. And 'e liked the womenfolk. But 'e always had a special place in his heart for that crazy bat, Bernice iron. The Staggering Drunk. 'E was very talkative ''nway."

Strengths
Excellent duelist. Do not engage in hand to hand combat. He HAS bested better men before. Several times.
Also fair fighter unarmed. Remember the childhood wrestling matches. He was excellent even then.
While he may act insane be CAREFUL!!! Very cunning.
Charismatic. May make it hard to mutiny their crew.
An excellent sailor. Try to board early. He's outmaneuvered you before. Don't think it can't happen again. And that ship hes got isn't too shoddy.... In fact it's very nice.....
Decent with his knives. Watch out for those.
Weaknesses
Too trusting. Work on disguise in order to infiltrate Thunderrider. He will believe it.
A bit mad. Turns some of his crew off. Make these men allies.
Overconfident. Take advantage of this if forced into combat.
Eye patch limits depth perception. That will give me an edge in combat. Or at least in an ambush-style attack....
Has made plenty of enemies. Use them against him.
Loves Bernice. If anything happens to her...."

History
Pieced together from various eyewitnesses and diary entries

The Dread pirate Mad Davy Flint began life on a small Santerran island to the Buccaneers Ethel Bonny and Samuel Flint. It wou;ld appear he trained for years there growing up with his younger brother of Four years, Jack Flint.
Around the age of 17 or so, Flint struck out on his own. He made his way to a small Santharian town named St. Sug's-By-The-Bay (unconfirmed). There he met and apparently fell in love with a Ms. Bernice Iron. He left several years later however, as his love was left apparently unreturned. He began a life of crime, one day setting fire to a small Ocean Braque. This Braque was the Leather Gauntlet. Its captain was Jack Flint. The attack left Jack's left hand scarred and maimed. Jack apparently changed his name to Kidd and renamed his ship the Blood Gauntlet after the bloody glove he wore on his left hand.
At the age of 26, Flint was kidnapped and kept as a slave aboard the Bloody Cutlass. This ship was captained by his old love, Bernice. After several years as a slave, Bernice finally returned his affections. It was then that he alone captured a small sloop owned by several mercenaries, chief among them Calico Cassandra and Dirty Iron Sam. He renamed the ship the Thunderrider and has been robbing merchants blind ever since.
On a recent journey away from Nybelmar, he located the ship of his enemy and brother, the Blood Pirate Kidd. After a heated ship battle, both ships nearly scuttled, Davy took one last gambit. He rammed the Blood Gauntlet and began a battle with it's captain. The duel lasted for hours. Rapiers clashing, contestants sweating, both crews stared on in awe. It was at that moment the cargo exploded. It is believed a fire Mage, by the name of Unco'llot in the service of the Thunderrider had launched a flame into the cargo hold, which contained massive amounts of rum. Davy was thrown overboard, and Kidd was presumably killed. Flint was found months later by an Eyelian, Nsikigan Yourth. The unlikely pair have since became fast friends. Nsiki currently works for the great Library, while Flint is now pirating along the Sarvonian coast.
