Arrianna's thoughts swam around in her head. She had not replied to Voltigar when he had questioned her, and before she could do so other events unfolded that were much more dramatic then her expertise as an archer.
Quietly, she watched the events unfold, standing to the side of the king with guards around her. When fingers had been pointed at the king, Arrianna had instinctively drawn arrows on the man, poised to shoot, but the looks given by the guards surrounding her made her lower her bow slightly, though a mutual, silent understanding was there she was only going to protect the king. A guard next to her used his hand to lower her bow, no easy task due to her firm arm, and gently said "miss, your in enough trouble already." Her eyes grew large, and then she looked down, her arm faltering, bringing her bow down with her glance.
When she had looked up, she was unpleasantly surprised to see what had unfolded, all but one of the guards had left her side, and she was almost unattended. A long lock of hair fell over her shoulder, and she again spied the King, looking forlorn. She touched his shoulder, in order to gain his attention, and gently said "Your Majesty, I am eternally sorry for my rude and disrespectful manner a few minutes ago, I meant no harm to you or your men. I was rather shocked from my arrest, and I believe this shock left me rather...tongue tied." Her large eyes were warm and welcoming, and her tone of voice honeyed and calming. "My name, and other matters, I would prefer to disclose to you in privacy, or in the company of you and the guards you feel necessary to accompany our conversation. But for now, know me as Lady Lucinda, elfess of Nybelmar. I mean no harm, as I am sure you already know.”
Arrianna did not know if she was out of place, but then again she never did. The ways of these human kings often confused her, their ways of respect being far different to what she was used to. Hopefully this King would hear her, and would not jail her. She was no good to anyone, in a cell. “These events just passed were unpleasant for any to bear witness, and if you would rather call for me later, I am residing in Arth’s spot, the tavern in the town, and if I am not there, I will be at Arth’s stables.” She licked her lower lip, and ran a hand through her length of hair, awaiting a reply.

Iris felt such grief for the little Brownie. It was all she could do as she watched the little thing wrap its cloak tighter about it and feel its little body wracked with sobs. Iris not caring who saw who or if they thought her looney brought her hands up to her cheek and nuzzled the little brownie.
"Hush hush little one. He will be missed. Please do not fret so."
Iris gently caressed the little brownie's back with the tip of her finger.
"Tell me little one, why have you come here?"
Iris spoke gently as one would to an upset child. Hoping to divert the little brownie's attention for even a few moments.

As the brawl sudden erupted , Malavon took his dark sword and almost instinctively placed himself near Naya , in a way that if someone was watching , could say was of caring , of trying to protect .
But as quickly as she appeared , the brawl was finished , and a young man ,perished trying to uphold the honor of his lord .
Malavon eyes became clouded with tears , even a man as he , that looked death in the eyes several time cannot comprehend as a young life could cease as quickly as this .
His emerald eyes became even more heavy as he rested in Naya , she seemed guilty , she was probaly thinking that this happened because of her .
Turning his eyes to the king , Malavon tried to smile with his usual arrogance , as what happened didn´t concern him .
Aye my Lord , I as well accept you kind offer .
Not saying another word , he waited what was to happen.
By taking revenge, a man is but even with his enemy; but in passing over it, he is superior.

Iris's soothing voice and caressing finger soon managed to calm the little grey Brownie down. When the first wave of grief was over, she sat up again and looked around. She would always carry the memory of her brief acquaintance with Mitch in her heart, and so honor his death. Crying would not bring him back, so she would not cry anymore.
She didn't immediately answer the question of why she was there. She had understood only half of what Iris had been saying, due both to her limited understanding of Tharian and to her crying, but she could guess the content after she had heard the word 'why'.
She wasn't exactly sure what she should tell this human. True, she had been very nice and caring for the small woman, but still. Her boss back in Nyer had insisted on telling her message only to Damien Scar. And Damien wanted it told to the king. Apart from that, she was not naturally of a disposition to trust every big folk that she came across, and her natural distrust kicked in now. These were reasons enough not to tell the exact content of her message. But she had to say something. She spoke slowly, trying to think of the right Tharian words, sometimes not succeeding.
"I... telling Damien me... mess... thing. Im... uh... important thing. Too needing telling King. Lonely king, no else. You... uh... you knows king? Who king?"
By now, she had completely forgotten to play the part of the doll, only focusing on explaining as best she could, without betraying her message. Apart from her other reasons, she didn't want to this nice person to become worried. She knew enough Tharian to know what war meant. It was not good.

Iris had begun walking back towads the Palace as the little Brownie began to speak. Whatever her purpose in Voltair it was with the King and Damien and no one else. Iris had angered the King enough and did not wish to displease him further. Looking down at the Brownie while she walked she quietly said, "I know the King. I will take you to his home and you will speak to him there." Iris hoped that the King would be on his way soon. She had not seen the party from the tournament grounds pass her by.
As Iris continued to pass near Arth's she saw Damien coming out almost at a run and nearly collided with him. She hands instinctively wrapped around the Brownie to protect her from getting squished. Iris looked at Damien for a moment stunned to see his dishevelled appearance. Looking a bit closer she noticed his red eyes and when he opened his mouth to speak to her the reak of stagnant alcohol nearly caused her to faint.
Quickly Iris regained her composure and bowed before Damien. "Commander Scar. Your presence was greatly missed at the tournament." Iris rose and caught the Commander's eye.
Damien so focused upon getting to the tournament grounds did not see Iris before him and almost litterly ran her over. Quick reflexes stopped him a hairs breath from her. He took a step back as he was formally greeted by Iris, but as she rose something disturbed him about her appearance. He noticed the tell tale signs of crying and then noticed that she was alone and un chapperoned. The King favored Iris and her sister for whatever reason and would not usually allow either one to travel alone. The Commander noticed movement in Iris's hands and quickly took her arm in his leading her back towards the Palace. "You should not be traveling alone, dear Iris. Tell me what has happened at the grounds."
Iris retold everything that had happened from the time that he had left and his face distorted as it shifted from anger to rage to sadness and then back to rage. Iris fought tears as she retold how she had disgraced herself and of the people invited back to the Palace. Iris had glanced at the little Brownie in her hands as she spoke and the Commander gave a slight nod silently saying that he knew of the Brownie and why she was here.
*******************************************************************
The King only slightly turned as Iris had dismissed herself. He could say naught to stop her nor would he in the presence of the nobility. His authority had been challenged more than once today and showing any signs of weakness now could be devistating for him now. Then he heard the elven woman who had violated the archery contest speak. He turned to her with a grave face. If she had only spoken up sooner he could have seen letting her go. Now will all that had transpired in the past moments he could not.
"Lady Lucinda you violated the laws which govern our tournament and did not speak when you had been given several chances in which to do so. I will speak to you as you request, but you presume much by telling me where I may find you for I already know the answer to that. You will be held at the Palace under arrest until I decree otherwise."
Voltigar gave the commands needed to begin the guards moving with their prisoner towards the Palace.
Votigar walked with his back straight and his head held high off the Dias and into the awaiting coach. He wished to be alone for the trip back to the Palace. He ordered his guests to other coaches and soon the party was set into motion towards the Palace. Volitgar began taking into account what was awaiting him at the Palace. There was the sqirming thing in the hankerchief that he needed to deal with and urgently apparently, but there was also Clayton that had to be dealt with. He also had spoken of some urgent news. And where in the bloody hell was Damien?! His Commander in Arms. Where was he at the most crucial time. Then Voligar shook his head. Things could have gotten much worse had Damien been there and taken revenge on the Count's son. No, it was probably better that the Commander had not been there to witness such a heinous crime, but still. Then there was Iris in which to contend with. He had hurt her and he knew it. Something that he wished never to do, but had done so none the less. He would need to speak to her later. And last but not least the elfess who he arrested seemed to be in need of aid as well. He would have to speak with her too and see if her dilema fit in anywhere with the grand scheme of things.
*OOC Next postings will be at the Palace. Nothing fancy but it got the job done.
