What?
I have never really liked how in such role-playing environments like Santharia, ones where it is based upon pure creativity, never really had a strong sense of wealth.  Players just seem to have whatever money is needed at the time, even though they have not worked for several years in their history.  I have always wondered how that player came up with enough money to bribe the local authorities or buy a round of ale for everyone in the tavern.  How???

My hope is to create a way of answering this question.  So in this thread you will find a price list of frequent items requested and what ever else ever needs to b priced.  Note though, prices are not set in stone, as some players don’t have that same charisma with NPC’s as others, sorry to say.

So how do I figure out what my characters starting funds are?
This part you will need to know your own characters history a little.  Keep in mind a few of these things:

• If your character hasn’t done anything in a few years that you think he would have been paid for, then it is likely that he is running low or has no money on him and is in search of employment.
• If your character has done a job where you think he would have been paid for, then look at who paid him.  Aiding a farmer for a nights stay would likely not make you rich.  Most likely your payment would have been a warm meal and a bed or stall to sleep in out from the rain.  Even if your character performed a risky task for a wealthy person, it is unlikely that you yourself are now wealthy.  The wealthy hardly make the poor rich.  They pick poor people to do things because they are poor.

How much do things cost?
Well this will be a continuous thing that will be worked on.  Currently a list is being worked on at the Dev board.  I will post the cost for various things I can find for starters, but after that the list will need to be worked on and I doubt that it will ever be complete.  If you wish to find the price of something, ask in character (IC) and you'll get your answer IC.  This may be after we discuss the price Out of Character (OOC) if I find it difficult to come up with a reasonable price.

Also it should be noted here, that if a price is decided upon, and later the dev board decides that a different price is better, you will note be re-funded.  Think of it as either being ripped off or price fluctuation within the city.

How much money does my character have?
The moderators will be keeping track of all expenses and be updating a list found within this thread.  If you feel that we have miscalculated, please notify us as sometimes a person can punch in the wrong number in an equation and we’ll try to get the issue settled.
