I might not be here much due to the blackouts affecting my area and much of Ontario and some area of the US.  We just got hydro back a hour ago.

Let's see... pretty much all of Ontario was hit with the major blackout which spread down through the US. It hit New York, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit. Umm... Missouri(is Boston in Missouri - well whatever I'm Canadian I don't care:P)

But it was a huge blackout. Pretty crazy, it started with lightning hitting a power plant somewhere in the US. They turned on auxilury(sp?) power and it overloaded or something I don't know. I think that's what happened(just what I've heard)

Crazy crazy stuff.  Thank goodness I'm far enough west.  Didn't touch us, its two states over in Ohio.

Well everything has seemed to be running smoothly lately for me... just went about 8 hours without power for me so it wasn't too bad.

Yeah, they have it all over the news about these blackouts and not having power to just about all of the New England and parts of the midwest, as well as a huge chunk of Canada. For a while it was right up there with the California Recall Elections.

I haven't been on much, but we've had power out here.

You know whats sad. Here in Canada, on the west coast even. It was the head story and given about 20 minutes on the evening news a few days ago.

The blackouts were even a big news in European TV for more than one day. And all assured us, that this will never happen here, lol

Now here's a sad story, we had nearly a whole local channel devoted to the blackout and I LIVE ATLEAST 600 MILES FROM THE NEAREST PLACE THAT WAS BLACKEDOUT! Now that's what I call sad.
