Usually you write in third person, e.g. "Fflewdur entered the room and looked around. He saw..." etc. - But just read through some other story/tavern threads, and you'll get the idea;)

Yep like Atri stated.  Like:

A cool breeze escaped into the tavern from outside, refreshing the air within.  Seconds later a tall figured walked through the tavern's doors.  Standing at the entrance the figure examined what the tavern had to offer.  As his eyes scaned the layout, they stopped as they crossed a female wearing a skirt, rushing from table to table.  His eyes followed the female as she seemed to be taking orders from the tables she visited...

I recently confused a request and it was asked of me whom I meant to forward it to.  Could you give me a quick explanation?

What is the difference between an Admin, and a Mod?

Well I think your question was answered in another thread but I will answer it again, no problems.

Moderator:
A moderator has the ability to control what goes on in a forum he/she moderates. They have the ability to Delete threads, delete posts, edit all posts within his/her forum, make a thread sticky within his forum.

Admin:
A Admin has control over the entire message board.  I for example may go to any forum, any thread and do the same things as a Moderator of that Forum may do.  On top of that, I may move a thread from one place to another, or move a entire forum to another location.  Also I can edit any text found in the boards layout, thus edit the description of a story, of a forum, or the main description.  As well I have the ability to grant any player I find worthy a title, thus allowing them to RP on this board.  As well I have the ability to grant other members who have the need status of Moderator or Admin.

Hope that helps you out.

So if you have a question about a story, ask the stories Moderator.  If you have a question about your character, then ask the character moderators or admins your question.  If you have a question about how to create your own story, or something else a admin has the ability to do, then ask a admin.

thanks Gararion.

Is there somewhere I can read up about creating a story?

Well basically all you need is this(as I don't know if we have a area):

Title of Story: What will you call it?

Description of Story:  What will it be about?  Give us a short run down, but you don't have to reveal any of the important stuff.  If we admins ask for it, you would send it to us through email or ezinbox.

Moderator(s):  State who will be given status as Moderator fo the story.  Hopefully two Mods as this prevents the danger of having the one mod leaving and taking the story with him/her.

Small Describing Paragragh: Take a look at any other story, this should describe your story to players in a flash.

Super.  I may put some though into this.  Though I think I'll play somewhere first so I can get used to the races and stuff.

If you want to develop something, sure, that would be appreciated. Development takes place at the dev board, though, and doing proper research etc. is required of course, as we need to keep things consistent. So we should avoid contradictions concerning tribes, history etc. which is relevant for this area. Also the entry system for places needs to be followed. Of course we'll help whereever we can to make things work, so if you feel creative, it is very much appreciated to have help.

Is there a certain area you're interested, Ellyena? Because of course it's better to have whole regions developed in detail, instead of a town here and there. But just let me know what's on your mind, and we'll see where you could fit in.

Actually Ellyena's whole migration route could use some......expansion.  I was thinking of starting with Carbrand, though.  I'd like to EVENTUALLY do the area between the Sea of Tears and the Glandon(?) Bay.  A huge area for someone that's just learning the ropes, but I'd like to work small and go bigger......

Well, Northern Sarvonia is Drogo's territory, Ellyena. Don't know where he was last week, though, but he'll be back again on the Dev Board soon I hope. So you'd need to talk about details with him, preferable in the Northern Sarvonia Forum (on the Dev Board).

I personally deal with Southern Sarvonia and give full focus on the Avennorian/Manthrian region (Nepris game area, Marcogg, and surroundings), where we also need developers of course;)

Have I told you yet that you are my god! :worship    I have a feeling that if I had half of your programming knowledge, I could truly be a genius.

Okay well I will approach Drogo as some later date then.

Where do you need help?  I'd like to learn so I'm willing to start small.

Oh!  I just finished your tutorial of the map!  Wow!  Though I don't have the artists touch you have, I definitely learned a thing or two about the map drawing!  I even figured out how to convert it to Paint Shop Pro!!!!

Question, does Photoshop allow tubes?  (I'm assuming it does cuz I don't think the programs are that far apart.)  I'd like to ask your permission to make your trees, mountains and volcanoes into tubes for my personal use.  If you can't that's okay, just thought I'd ask.

Artimidor, do you not PLAY in the game?
