The Rules

All games will be organized here
The games will start at a time to be determined amongst the contestants later.
There will be no late arrivals
All turn timers will be 10 minutes
A game is not official unless at least three (maybe four?) Santharian members are in it.
The winner of each match reports the battle report in this thread.
We establish points for wins/ranking in each battle. (Example: In a four player game: 3 points for First, 2 for Second, 1 for Third, 0 for Last. I'm thinking Last place is always 0 and we just go up by one for each rank, no matter how many players there are. So, in a six player game First place would get 5 points.)

Through brutal force of will and a mighty command of the English language a young man rose through the ranks and established himself as the official Risk Announcer of the Santharia IRC channel.

This young man would later become a force to be reckoned with. This man would later become Bahran the big.



Now, on a note regarding tournaments... We need to establish a point system and keep track of it.

I will suggest that we establish these as general rules. However, they are naturally up for debate/discussion.

1. A game is not official unless at least three (maybe four?) Santharian members are in it.

That's all I can think of right now. If you can think of any additional rules or amendments to the ones I have suggested or anything of that sort, just say so.

Can we declare a draw (*ahem* between the two remaining members of an alliance, mayhaps?). If so, it should be limited to only two players... if there's a third, they have to die.

Speaking of Draws: in the case of a draw being declared between the last 2 members of the game they should each recieve the amount of points that they'd get had the other defeated them (ie: a 6 player game ending in a draw would yield 0 for the loser, 1 for second last, 2 for the middle player 3 for the last to die and 4 for each of the drawing parties)

Also, to insite not ending in a draw EVERY game, the winner should recieve two points higher than the second place finisher (ie: in the example above second place would still get 4, but first place would get 6)

Time: the earliest I am ever able to get online is roughly 6pm AST and that's rare. I usually get on at around 9-10 AST. thus, 7 EST makes me a sad panda. Especially if homework's involved.

I would suggest that maybe would shouldn't even have official times set before hand. As long as there are enough people willing to play there should be a game.

As for the draw thing: that sounds good. The winner recieving one extra point sounds good too.

The first official Match, if its okay with everyone, will be a 4 person match.

I will give everyone a number and do a random dice roll to see who the matchups are.

Hey! What about me? I distinctly remember being apart of the Risk games the other day.  I even wiped the floor with Bahran after everyone else left. So, could my name be added to the list? I assume that I'm not on it due to pinging when Taka originally posted this thread.

My internet time is screwy....i get on and off depending on my dad's schedule. I do not appreciate having "YOU PLAY TONIGHT BECAUSE ME SAY SO!!" dictated to me.

If i am there, i am there....if i can't make it...tough.

It would be suggested that you find out OTHER peoples schedules Takashi....not just base it selfishly around your own.
