Well there are a few big names involved in the project, we can only hope their budget matches their choices in voice actors.

Kiefer Sutherland, and Phil LaMarr. Both great voice actors. TV mostly, though Phil LaMarr did some great video games.

Although I've never read the books, I was just interested in the actors...

... Yea, the good luck is in the north side, translation to Spanish is ALWAYS bad (well... not always, the exception was Shrek.)

Oh there are good ones...

Just a lot of bad ones. Is this book a comedy? That may be a stupid question, but if it isn't, then I have no hopes for it.

Kiefer Sutherland is always great, he just guest starred in a Simpson's episode and the new season of 24 is coming out. Phil LaMarr is one of the greatest voice actors out there. He hasn't been in any great TV since Futurama, but he's lent his voice to some great video games.

ITS GOING TO DIE!

having never read the books nor carring particularly, nor knowing who ANY of the actors are, I must ask one question. Is this one of those movies where you do it right and go the way of Lord of The Rings or do it wrong and get murdered by fans of the book?

I dunno, but I took a boo at the director's previous work... kids movies (one of which includes Captain Planet and the Planateers.... I don't know if anybody else watched that show, but I find that credential especially hilarious)

Now, I liked the books. Heck, I almost cried at one point. And while I always thought they were kind of weak originality-wise, the character development was key for holding the whole thing together. And to try and squeeze all that depth into a 100minute animated film? I have no hopes (granted, the movie is only for the first book which, in my opinion, is the best one)

I'll rent it out of interest, but this is going to be cheeeesey.

Wow, long time I didn't heard that name... I watched that show when I was arround 7... barrelly I have some memories of that.

Yet, when the character development is a key feathure in the book, the movie turns to be bad because no actors can actually make the way the writer thought it to be.
