My semi-autobiography

[Alassiel Telrúnya]

It's an autobiography because I'm writing about my own life, but yet it isn't, because I'm writing about Alassiel's life, which was mostly made up. And I wasn't sure whether or not I could put it in the A of A. So anyway, here it is.

Born into the Ak’váth’rhím,
Grew up with the Injerín;
Her interests are of song and art,
Both are kept quite close to heart.

A heart shaped face, long jet black hair,
Eyes which twinkle, eyes which glare;
A small, delicate mouth and nose,
Complete a face which almost glows.

She seldom dresses fancily,
But for outdoor activity;
She’s usually identified
By her feathers, carefully dyed.

She always sings whole-heartedly,
The words of song come easily;
Even animals flock to hear
Her melodious voice with notes so clear.

Naturally is loyalty
In her personality;
Good with weapons, tongues as well,
Her feelings anyone can tell.

But she can be stubborn or brash,
Or give others a real tongue-lash;
She’s picky when it comes to food,
And can be vain and can be rude.

She is slightly feminist,
And superstitious with the name list;
Tiny trinkets attract this elf,
And buys many for herself.

Weak in parts, strong in others,
All balancing one another;
Weaknesses and strengths combine
Like rays of bright sunshine.

Tired of Bard School, took a break,
Traveled to the hills and lakes;
Learnt to speak five tongues fluently,
Then traveled across valleys and seas.


Made new friends on her travels,
From brownies to the dwarves and elves;
But time was starting to unravel,
So traveling was put on the shelves.

Returned to her family safe and sound,
Led her life on solid ground;
But soon she missed her traveling days;
Beyond her home her gaze would stray.

So she went back to traveling,
Her head full of new songs to sing;
Visiting province after province,
And has traveled ever since.

And so concludes Alassiel’s story,
Her semi-autobiography.
