Fortunately But Unfortunately

The rules are, posts are sentences starting 'Fortunately....' or 'Unfortunately....'. It has to be alternate. For example:

Post 1: Fortunately, I got an A+ in my exam.

Post 2: Unfortunately, a bully tore it up before I could show it to my parents.

Post 3: Fortunately, a teacher saw the bully do it and put him in detention.

Post 4: Unfortunately, the bully now seizes every opportunity to beat me up.

and so on and so forth.

Everyone's welcome to join, and feel free to be silly! grin

But the posts have to be related to the post before, and abrupt and random changes of topic aren't allowed.

I'll start:

Fortunately, I'd saved up enough money to buy the laptop I'd always wanted.

Fortunately, we were such close friends that he stated in his will that all his possessions should be given to me, including his manuals on how to repair broken laptops.

Fortunately a kind woodcutter with bad eyesight mistook my big red sweater for Little Red Riding Hood's cloak, and the alpaca for a wolf, and he cut the alpaca open and handed me the will which was still in one piece. Rolling
