You look nothing like what I had imagined you...
Then again, I always imagine people looking like their avatars...

I love the pictures, Dek! And I have to agree with Sim, we all imagine each other looking like our avatars, and that isn't necessarily true for most of us lol

Oh Kali, I disagree, I think many look similar to their (main) avatar! Or have at least some similarities. Maybe the avatar shows a bit of the soul.
I think all the avatars you had for Kalina went well with the photos of you. Altario, Drogo.. well, not all, Wren looks entirely different, but Artemis showed in her avatar as did Viresse . Art was of course painted after a photo. I can imagine Letty having the haircut of grallen
Of course mine is far away from how I look, but my old avatar was not so different from how I looked twenty years ago
Maybe it is different now, I don't know the new people of the RPG board anymore.

@ Garret, just wondering if you have different colored shorts? It just seems that every picture I see of you, you are wearing the same color shorts. I loved the pictures, especially the one's with you climbing the rock wall, the one with you in the middle of another girl and a guy, and the two with the sunsets, or sunrises, and I also thought the one where you were riding the horse in Spain, was priceless...kind of reminded you of home a bit? lol
@Dek, i knew the vikings had something right with them...they had you as an ancestor...lol
@Talia, I agree with your assessment of our main avatars having some sort of resemblance to our own selves in a way.

@ Capher: Yes, I have different colored shorts. I had 4 pairs (a cream colored pair), but they were too small so I gave them away. I now have a blue pair, a green pair, and a brown pair. Though they are pretty similiar in colors so.
Also ... Most of the pictures you mentioned are from Greece (or in the case of the first sunset pictures -- on my way to Greece). That's definitly been one of my favorites. And I don't recall a horse in Spain -- there was a Lion and a Bull. Ya don't get many horses in the city and after getting kicked in the knee by one when I was little I haven't gone horseback riding too much. I stick to the dogs.
@ the rest of yall: I certainly hope I don't look too much like my avatar ...

Garret after looking back at your pictures I realized it was a black lion you were riding and not a horse...sorry, blame my poor eyesight.
Out of all of those colored shorts, it just seemed to me that most of your pictures are taken with the same one, that was all I was trying to point out.
Have fun the rest of your trip. You look like you are having the time of your life.

Wow Garret, the amount of places you've been is staggering! Great, inspiring pictures. lol, reminds me that I have a ton of pictures of me and some friends posing at platform 9 3/4 on a london trip...
Great pics Dek- that hat is very very awesome.
And I agree that, in my limited experience, player's first characters often greatly resemble them in their personality and appearance. Well, I know Jenna is quite like me.
Also: I should have some pictures from the swiss alps up soon, so stay tuned everyone

Valan's New Hat
Been meaning to post that one since I got back from vacation. New hat, it's rather comfortable.

Another shot of Dek without his viking helmet but with his family ... at the after party of his father's Doctorate. This was held at the uni ... we would later on go to a dinner at a fancy restaurant where everyone was drinking alcohol but Dek.
Dek and family
Left to right: Dek's sister, Dek's father, Dek's mother, Dek and Dek's Grandma.
Dek offered to be the driver home that night. Dek never drinks alcohol on occasions when he knows he has to drive places ... which explains his lack of champagne (and him half-hiding his can of lemon soda behind his mother).
