Right if you like pretty Irid in a skirt, then get a load of this!
And also me in some not so pretty clothes (the crazy hair is long gone since then)...

Very cute, Petros. I like the kilt, it's worth at least as much as my pretty skirt!

And another resurrection! Somewhat different kind of pictures than the last batch...
I went to a photoshoot on monday. Enjoy the result ^.^ Pictures taken by Peter de Vrieze, Rohalt (don't know his last name) and Wim van Wel. More (also from different photographers) will be added as I get them.

I'm so jealous of the lush history you have there, Irid. Hundreds of years.
Here, 200 years ago there was very few people. My ancestors were, but other than a few arrowheads, etc, they left not much in the way of history for us. Definitely no grand castles, or rich paintings, etc that you have.
I suppose I could dress up in costume, but not sure how a pic of a fat guy in a loincloth would go over here.

Wooow irid, awesome photo shoot, and beautiful outfits! *would love to get to dress up in pretty costumes like that* And nice camping pictures too! I suppose I'm a bit of a camping veteran, having been involved in girl guiding from a very early age.
Psh, altario, you canadians/americans/australians/anyone of colonial heritage DO have history! First, there's the history of the indigenous peoples of your country, which while not documented shows itself in their current culture. Then there's the history of your ancestors who came to canada in the first place- their european heritage is the predecessor to your own culture and traditions, surely. And, your countries are not exactly brand new- they're centuries old and have plenty of history of their own. European history just manifests itself in more obvious and flashy ways. Sorry, but I always feel like saying that when anyone complains their country doesn't have as much history as european ones
That being said, I always find it weird how much countries in europe have changed and shifted and reformed even in the last century, coming from a country whose borders haven't significantly changed in a millennia

Go on! Do it, I dare you! Be proud of your body
*wonders whether she should indulge her vanity and post pictures here*

Two things:
1./ I did say that we do have history, just not in the way you can go experience it. I'm a native descendant, so I'm proud of that heritage. Cree, then Metis, so it's a rich history. But, not many Cree castles and Cree oil paintings for me to explore and pose in front of.
2./ Yes, indulge your vanity! Set it free!

I saw you said that- sorry if it looked like I hadn't read your post closely
Yup, enjoy your history in the form it takes!
Ye gods, you fool! Do you know what'll happen if that monstrosity is loose upon the world?!
Seriously, though. I'm sure I have some pictures lying around somewhere...

Part of my history is European history ... Scotland/Wales/England/German etc ... dad's (and my) surname even appears back a few generations in mum's side of the family.
Jenna ... please, let your ego out!
I love the pictures, Irid ... and Altario ... wouldn't a mankini be more your style?

So, that is the Photographers portfolio? You are part of that now? Really great pics. Do you know any of the other subjects. Does he specialize in "In Period" photos? Does everyone supply their own apparel, or does the Photographer?

yes, I'm part of his portfolio now. This photoshoot was a mutual exchange - the photographers (there were 6) get pictures for their portfolio, we get nice pictures of ourselves (and those of us who are often model at photoshoots also get pictures for their portfolio). The photographers take their camera and any equipment they think necessary, the models provide their own clothing. Or in some cases a seamstress provides the clothing, in which case the pictures also go into her portfolio
.
This particular photoshoot was organised as a meeting from a forum that many seamstresses go to (both hobbyists and professionals, and some lookers-on such as myself). All of them are interested in Victorian / steampunk / several other historic periods, hence the clothes and location being 'in period'. So I know ( or at least have seen) all the models that you can see under the link I gave. Some I know a bit better than others, but that's not so strange I guess ^.^
