I had about seven inches cut off... and then two weeks later learned that it was in fact long enough to donate (I was told that it had to be 10 before you could donate it). I was so upset!

I'm trying to grow my hair out now... but oooh it's so hard! I love short hair so much because I can do something different everyday. Oh well.

Pixie cuts are sometimes very hard for women to pull off. I used to have extremely long hair (down past my hips) which, I have to admit, did not look good on me at all. My face is simply too small. *sigh*

When we cut it all off it looked like we had killed a yak or something. Lol.

Anyways. If you have a good enough imagination then you can just pull your hair back into a really tight pony tail and then imagine it basically always looking like that. Main focus would be to ask yourself if you like the way your ears look.

Ears. That was my problem when I cut off all of my hair. I didn't like my ears cause I think that they stick out. And whenever I blush or get too hot my ears turn bright red. Which is bad when your hair is light, almost white, blonde. X_x

I think I have a really grainy picture of me when I had a faux hawk... it was super cute. But on those bad self-esteem days (you know what I'm talking about) I felt like a boy and it made me sad. But otherwise it was super fun... my friends all want me to get it again xD

EDIT: Okay... so it's not done up in this picture but it's the same relative length. Also... this is possibly one of the worst pictures of me ever in existence... so... yeah. Mm hot.

I hadn't showered, it was early, we were snowboarding, don't judge me!

The model I used for my hair looked like this when I actually gave a damn. The only thing I have to warn about the pixie cut is that it's really awkward to grow out... beware the mullet!

I had one of those too. Lol. But I hadn't gotten around to dying it any funky colors, so unfortunately it was just brown. The week before I was going to bleach and dye it my friend cut it off when I fell asleep at her house because she didn't like it.

Nah nevermind. will probably be able to post one later in the week. Will be about 3-4 years old though when i had considerably shorter hair, still worshipped my Blink 182 hoodie and was sitting in a beer factory in Dublin.
Now it hangs past my shoulders and ive only been growing it again since Christmas....

Btw, There are a load more girls on this than i thought there would be... Still im not complaining.

Are you going to give all those hair to cancer patients who suffered the aftermath of chemotherapy? Because I don't see the point as to why you should.

I'm just curious. Don't beat me.

XD While mean, it is still fairly hilarious. And i would never donate/cut my hair! NEVER. You can take my freedom but you'll never take my Hair!

Hmm... But why donate hair? Why not just money?

Thorgos, they use the hair donated to them to make wigs for people who have cancer.

My sister, who has gorgeous, fast growing, curly, blond hair grows her hair out in a period of 2 years.  She donates her hair to Locks of Love...its an organization that specifically makes wigs for little girls from ages 0-18.  She does it because well, we don't have a lot of money to throw around, and its a nice thing to do.

This year was a cutting year for her, and last March she cut off 13 inches of her hair to donate to Locks of Love.  It's always funny to watch her cut off her hair to chin length only to regrow it down to her back again.

I would do it myself, but once my hair starts getting past my shoulders, it starts to split and before long I look like Medusa with a very, very bad hair cut.

My sister does it because it's a nice thing to do.  But everyone has their own individual reasons for doing so.

Hmm... Thank you very much for the explanation.

I was curious at first, but then again anything to make the recipients smile is good enough for me.

I tutor young, eager students who do not have enough money for free, but I think both you and your sister's contributions are far greater than mine. Very commendable.

Sadly, only a bit of knowledge is all I can share to these kids, and I know it is barely enough to help them get on with their everyday lives.

Once I even consider joining an organization to the mountains to help the children there, but my illness prevented me from going there, but I feel proud because I helped them build a school in near their village.

No wonder you have the patience to be a CD mod. LOL

Or is it the reverse? Shocked I'd assume the kids are easier to teach than some of the new players we've gotten around here.  Roll Eyes

Heh. It feels so good to see those smiling faces, even with a small contribution such as that.

EDIT: How right you are, Josie. LOL
