I would love to, but I have not prior experience in running a story, much less modding one. But if someone would have the heart of showing me the basics and perhaps be my mentor for a few months , then I'll do my best in helping to run it as smoothly as a lowly dwarf can.

Any takers on Thorgas's request? If he gets his bit of training, we would have 2 unexpreince and onpe semi experienced. That should be like one and a half experience right?

As I said I would, I have been looking at the Dwarven fluff and so far a Kavogerim look to be awesome. So if i can get one of these dwarves over to Sarvonia and think of a reason for him being there and having an interest in this Tavern YAY.

And then, perhaps if there is time, create a character to fit into the story well.

Well, here is a rough draft of the information needed for the tavern. Should expect changes when i get the chance to talk to Kanthir and Thorgas.

Basic Outline
A dwarven tavern in the city of Tyr Donian, run by dwarfs. Travelers come for a drink and conversation  with fellow travelers and dwarves. (possible Inn above, havn't decided yet, and if not above the establishment there would be one right next door)

Other Information

NPC: Possibly another person from a different race for language issues. Possible dwarf that visits the tavern nightly or spends the day there making money off gambling.



If the three of us think we could, we might expand this to include the whole entire city. Only problem is that there is no entry for Tyr Donian. ...Ill have to go and propose that on the dev side... Well ill get around to talking with Thorg and kanthir and will decide.

I would stay way from expanding into the city idea, for now, in my opinion. Modding a city is not only completely, utterly and unfathomably different than modding a story, but it's also a lot more work. For an inexperienced mod, it's probably in both yours and everybody involved's best interests to keeping it small.

That said, I would also suggest you try to concoct perhaps a kind of storyline to kind of guide the events within the tavern along. It doesn't have to be anything particularly rigid as in a conventional story, but something as simple as a common goal will quell the chaos that is wont to occur in a tavern setting and make it easier for characters to interact (trust me... getting a couple of antisocial assassins to start a game of pool is harder than you'd think). Sorts of ideas could be a crisis; somebody's mother is insane and they want to take her away, the tavern is at risk of shutting down, there's a man selling a fake miracle elixer outside, somebody let the pig out, etc etc. You don't have to stick with it the whole time, but it'll be easier for you and everybody else if there something acting as a glue for the population of the story.

Perhaps a drawing or soemthing of that sort? and if Buri comes along we could also have him running amuck with Thorgas trying to catch him... Be a funny site to see!

I didn't really want to expand but, it was an option.

Chasing pigs has never been one of my interests.

As Luca said, modding an entire city is difficult, especially with inexperienced mods. However, you can try doing it once you've gained enough experience in running the tavern.

Arhung YegerinnTheroon-Dwarven Stable boy age of 80.

Jynée Pakerim-Theroon-Hragnur's insane mother. Lives upstairs and stays in room occasionally yelling down for Hragnur to do random things. Guests consider her an annoyance, due to her yellings that interrupt their conversation entirely.

Dwarven Ale- Dwarven brewed Ale with a almost nutty aroma. 3 Sans

GerBrandy-Should be drunken only by dwarfs. Is said to eat through leather and dissolve paint off a wagon's side. 3 Sans

Hlarn Ale (Scorch Ale)-This Ale is made by the Kavogerim dwarf, Hragnúr. This is the dwarven variant of the ale Hragnúr. 3 Sans

Shorr Brew (Child Brew)-This is the other variant of Hragnúr's ale. This is a much milder version so other races can drink it. 3 Sans

Apple Ale- Dwarven Ale mixed with mashed malusapple. 3 Sans

Hearth Berry Juice-Warm non-alcoholic drink, with a sweet taste. 2 Sans

Savq “Sober-drink”-Tarty, bitter tasting drink that makes you sober in a few moments. 2 Sans

Water-Water taken from the Mitharim well. First is free and refills are 1 San each.

Food
Sandwich- 2 pieces of Liobl or dwarven Borwul bread with a choice of goat, lynx, or pig meat in between.. 4 Sans

Goldsponge Cabbages - Cabbages fried with goldsponge pulps and chopped Sulcho mushrooms. 2 Sans

Cucumber Ak-Ak- Light and tangy Cucumbers served with  “Weeproots” and a piece of Borwul. 3 Sans
Sulcho soup – Selected and hand picked Sulcho mushrooms, boiled with chopped vegetables of the customer’s choice (i.e. caroots) and seasoned with powdered black khmeen seeds 3 Sans
 
Steamed Mithanjor – Fat and large Mithanjors from the cavern pools of Een Puvtyr, cooked with equally large rootweeps, mushrooms and spiced with cinnabark. 4 Sans

Grilled goat – A large slab of goat meat grilled and spiced with cinnabark, served with mashed potatoes, mixed caroots and onn’garg beans, and gravy. 6 Sans

ThuuthFer unai, alv anjor (Fired slow, long fish[eel])- slow eels grilled into perfection, glazed with honey and topped with sulcho mushrooms. 4 Sans

Roasted Taenish-Taenish cooked until skin is golden brown. Served with vegetables. 5 Sans

Snacks
Doch Nuts- Small, nutty tasting nuts with a buttery aftertaste. 1 Bowl=2 Sans

Peppered Hearthberries-Succulently hot, crispy nugget with a fiery core, which stimulates the tongue and encourages appetite. 1 Bowl=2 Sans

'Petitioners' (Also known as pretzels)- Salty twists of baked dough dough. 1 Bowl=2 Sans

Sunseeds-Salty seeds of a Sunflower. 1 Bowl=2 Sans

Breddengrain bun- Fluffy bread filled almost to bursting with fruit or rosemint jam, smeared with a generous portion of honey on top. 2 Sans

Sweets and Desserts
Honeyed Meldars- Small bite-sized pieces of apple, covered in honey. Served with a sharpened stick to avoid messiness. 4 Sans

Kao-Kao and Doch Nut Cookies- Delicious cookies with bits of Kao-Kao and Doch Nuts embedded on the cookie. 2 cookies for 3 Sans

I would like to add in a NPC

My Mother.
She resides upstairs partially insane due to the exile of her from the Kavogerim (will be explained in CD) and occasionally yells down to get my attention. She is an annoyance

Also I am working on a logo for Tavern and if someone who likes photoshop can have a fix up of it later I will love them forever.

well, i was assuming someone would help him. and in the irc last night he help me a bunch with things so i guess i thought he agreed. he made it sound like he did anyway i asked him if buri was going to be along and he said yes so i think that made me think he had accepted. Ill add possible after him now...

@Thorgas, let me know if you officially agree so i know for a fact that you will be a mod.

Whenever Thorgas joins a story, he always bring Buri along . Anyways, I was only afraid that I'll make an infinite amount of mistake when helping to mod a story, considering the fact that I have no prior experience in running one.

Ok, I'll try modding the tavern with you guys, but don't get grumpy if ever I make a lot of mistakes.
