Capher, gathering our Ai'nuvics and horses is a good idea, however, I see some problems if we want to stay true to what is written on the site:

"Territory. The entire area enclosed by the Vale of Brownies, stretching out between four mountains, named Chieftain, Sorceress, Life, and Death. The Rimmers Ring and Santhala lie just to the east, Wind Bay just to the north, Kor Donion to the west, and the Quallian Forest to the south-west. However, entrance into the Vale of the Brownies is extremely difficult, if not impossible, from any direction other than the west. Through the Gate a deep gorge is twisting for a thousand peds along the course of the stream from the Vale to the outside. This gorge funnels all outside commerce through a narrow, easily defended knife-cut winding through the solid rock of the mountain. In all other locations, except for the south, the valley is bounded by steep mountain slopes and/or cliffs. A mixed forest covers much of the valley, with a thick jungle covering the low southern slopes, eventually becoming inpenetrable, even for Brownies. A deep stream, the Snake River, waters the entire valley, eventually flowing out of the valley through the gate. This stream has two tributaries, one of which flows out of the southern jungle, the other of which flows from the Bottomless Lake, at the base of Life Mountain, fed by the Diamond Falls.  Return to the top"

If the dwarves know a secret tunnel or passway under the mountains , where a dwarf fits through, this is one thing, Compendiumwriters just don't know about it, but a tunnel big enough to allow riding animals to pass? Then, we need to take this way out then as well, for there is no other way to leave the vale if we not repair the broken bridge, or the brownies seek help and repair this bridge themselves - it is or was till now their only connection to the outsite world! Though Talia will of course be glad, there is no actual need to bring the animals in.

I think we should leave the place somewhat intact when we leave (with a repaired bridge), though of course it would not alter what is written on the site.

While the shortcut idea convenient, I agree with Talia on this. So, who knows how to fix a bridge?

I think if enough Hamm'rer clan Brownies swarm over that bridge, it could be repaired soon... It's one of the biggest clans, and they specialise in building ;) Tulpje could get them to do it, if someone tells her that the bridge needs repairing :)

That is a good idea Simonne and I will be willing to allow that to happen.

My thought was that as soon as Capher got his powers back he would secretly leave the group at night when they were all sleeping, fly back to the gorge and raise the bridge back whole.

But whatever you guys think is the better plan I will go with.

I can edit or even delete my last post if you all decide that the brownies should repair the bridge and then we can go to the Vale, gather our friends and come back out with our animals waiting for us.  So, just tell me what you decide and I will follow.

Though a little extreme, I agree it would be better that we rebuild the bridge before re-entering the Vale. Then again, i'm the one who argued that you couldn't follow a halfling from a crumb trail.

Why not have a compromise? I think the idea that the dwarves know a hidden, small passage through the mountains into the vale is a good idea. No compendiumwriter would know of such a path. Back in the vale we should confess to the Brownies - we should have done that already while coming to them initially - that we cut their only traderoute and connection to the outside world (we didn't know about the dwarven connection). So as our Brownie expert says, they could rebuild it while we are busy in the vale and outside. The dwarven tunnel could be a quicker way back, a shortcut from the dwarven taverns into the vale.

Okay, so... sans the animals; we move through the secret path, the bridge gets repaired, then move out through the proper entrance?

I edited my post and now just have to wait for Tulpje to answer. If there is more editing to be needed, then please say so.

Thanks.

I'll read it soon and I'll try to answer soon but I can't give a guarantee that an answer will come this weekend...

Heh, that went more quickly than anticipated. If I need to edit something, just tell me.

I think I can post tomorrow morning and then just Terra needs to go up the tree (if she chooses to) and we can leave the vale.

When will you arrive, when the healing is done or a few days earlier?

Terra will if she must, but she may need help and guidance. She needs to face the unknown power within her, it is only because it's unknown and explained away as coincidence that has it remain a final faceless fear. I think afterward her telekinesis will remain her her control for a few hours, perhaps even in be some what stronger for a few hours. After that she will not be able to control it directly till much later in her life, at an age where her body begins to fail her.

Once Morc, Teri and Ken reply I think we should make the trip through the mountain as fast as we can (writing speaking) and then be in the Vale. We say good-bye to Brenna and then we find Ta'las and then we can all join together.

Tulpje then explains about the bridge and while the Brownies fix the bridge we can talk about our adventures; you, Talia and Terra your healings and what you have discovered about yourselves and Ta'las of course and we will tell you of our adventure and the meeting with the dwarves.

Once the bridge is finished, we say our good-bye's and thanks and then go get our mounts and head for Ximax.

Those are my thoughts and ideas at least. Anyone else have suggestions or other ideas?

No :)

Terra Primrose wants you to be alone on the tree, but if you cannot manage, ask for help - it is up to you what you are writing ;)

To your magic abilities: I would propose, that you are still aware of them (you were not till now), but that they are not  readily available , maybe a little more than before, if you focus very hard. In time of danger, when they are needed, I would call on them and not wait, till you are old.
