Chapter 2: Off to see a Sage

OOC:  Hope Dray and Gararion doesn't mind....the plan is that I'll sum up a the three's time at the sage's which will be longer than planned thus we will arrive in Hog after the other group...


After the feast which among many other things the topic of exactly why such an artifact like the Fire Gem was created was discussed..In end being a conclusion that either its creators were mad or desperate....Anyway As the three's stay comes to an end A few days later than planned Each stand outside the sage's abode....The girl elf they rescued earlier comes running out...

ALIA-"Sinen, I wish to go with you this time....at least for a part of the journey...."

SINEN-"Come what may of my decision and whether or not my companions support it I will say yes for the time being....Alia, I must warn you though that this is a dangerous quest with many unknown perils....."

with that he tunrs....

"Come, we are already late in leaving and I fear our other companions will be restlessly awaiting our arrival in hog...plus an uneasy feeling continues to grow in my mind....."

He sets off towards hog at nearly a run....

She was pleased by the size of the town of Hog. Not big.
Not little. Shops were quaint and easy to access, and the shopkeepers were cheerfully friendly. She wondered if it was the area. Being so close to the deserted Altramar, and the Drow Paelelon, they must be happy to see a wood elf.

She sampled different food at shopcarts, observed a minstrel group and bartered with a weaponsmith for a fore-length shamshir. She could tell it was a replica, for the wood in the handle was low quality, but its size was quaint and easy to use. She eventually gave him her earrings for them.

Viresse wandered back to teh tavern where they had dropped off Gashnum. She assumed that everyone would come back here. She ordered taenish dumplings and a pint of aohu'o ale, and enjoyed every warm bite.

[Gararion]

Gararion follows in silence taking in all that was said (what was it that was said again  ) during their stay their.  He found it easy to keep pace with Sinen as he had the wind to his back, though it blew towards them.

[Elende]

After a day's march the group finally arrived at Hog. The small town was quite familiar to Elende. He had come here before with his father to trade, usually for selling furs, cloths and of course always keeping an eye for agood deal in the finest weapond they could find.


 Although he had handed his backpack together with his weapons to Viresse, he kept a little 'something' for himself. Two dagger lie hidden in his boots. As always only the best quality would be enough for any Eophyrhim.

 After the group stopped at a tavern to drop off Gashnum, Viresse left to have a look around and Muargath as well, although she seemed quite worried. Taking advantage of the absence of Viresse.....the ever vigilant....Elende left the group for a while.

 Making his way through the streets of Hog he finally arrived at a merchant's shop. As  he pulled out the two daggers from his boots, the merchant appeared to be at a loss. The people of Hog had often dealinga with the Drow of the Paelelorn, and although they welcomed the trade with the dark elves they knew that it was not wise to anger them.

  The daggers were of the finest craftmanship, decorated with small carving along the blade and the handle.
 
 Elende approached the merchant and handed him the daggers.

I seek a fair price for these daggers

 A bit of bullying or frightening the merchant was always a good method to get above than average prices for anything you sell. Elende didn't like this method but he needed the money. He didn't want to be the beast of burden in the group. His only possesion were his weapons and those were at the hands of others.

 He accepted the price the merchant suggested without further bartering, since he didn't want to be absent for too long.

 He returned at the tavern and found that fortunatelly Vir had not returned.
  At least there won't be any interogation for the time being
  He sat at the table with the rest of the group after ordering something to eat and drink.

Moving at a quick pace the once trio now group of four head towards Hog, stopping to rest only when they must....Day fails and night comes...still they move...Alia staying always near Sinen. At length the finally reach Hog by mid day of the second day.....Now just to find the others if they are even still waiting for them....
