Name: Jonas
Gender: Male
Age: 6
Race: Human
Tribe: Stratanian
Occupation: Street-urchin and Thief
Title: Adorable Munchkin
Height: 1 Ped, 1 Palmspan, 9 Nailsbreadths
Weight: 4 hebs
Physical appearance: With his blond, somewhat curly hair and blue eyes, Jonas looks almost angelic. He has a small tilted nose which  seems perpetually covered in freckles. His rounded apple-cheeks are very often blushing mostly from running away from city-guards. Otherwise his skin is fair and without blemish, if one does not count the numerous bruises and scrapes on his hands and knees.

The little boy is somewhat skinny and small for his age, which is mostly due to lack of proper food. His wrists are about the same size as his upper arms. A man can fit his hand around them and still let his fingers touch. His legs are skinny too, though a little better developped than his arms because of all the running he has had to do.

Clothes: Jonas has only one set of clothing, which he wears all the time. The clothes might at one time have had a colour, but now they're grey and faded. Both the underside of the shirt and of the pants are badly frayed. He has some old badly fitting shoes, which really only serve to keep the elements off his feet. They're in bad need of repair though, so they're not much doing their job.

Personality: Jonas's personality is pretty straightforward: live and let live. Or rather, survive and let live. He'll do anything he can to get his hands on the meal for that day, not distinguishing between honourable means and less honourable approaches. As young as he is, there are not many jobs that he can do, so usually his means of acquiring his food is to steal it. He doesn't really see any harm in this the shopkeeper has more than enough of it, and Jonas doesn't, so it's no more than fair to 'feed the poor', i.e. himself.

He does realise the intrinsic advantages of his looks. Another means for him to get his food is to beg for it. His favoured victims of such an action are elderly ladies, who very often can't resist his little-boy smile, which he of course uses on them without mercy. He generally accepts the fuss they usually make over him, which almost always accompanies this kind of begging, with the reasoning that a bit of a fuss for a full stomach is a fair deal.

Other than that, Jonas is pretty much an average 6-year-old, with boundless amounts of energy, usually employed in running away from guards. He makes friends easily and forgets them just as quickly. If he doesn't like somebody or they don't like him, he will just ignore them and go do something else. His opinion of people is formed quickly, though it can be changed just as easily, and if he likes them after a while he'll completely forget that he ever disliked them.

This habit is true for just about anything that crosses the small thief's path. His opinion is quickly formed and quickly changed, and he acts as though he's always felt that way about it whenever he changes his opinion. This is not hypocrisy as such he truly does believe this is the case. If anything, it's a classic case of self-delusion. It doesn't really hinder him, although some people might get annoyed at this habit of his to constantly change his mind and acting as though he didn't.

-He is small, quick and agile, which helps him in getting his daily meals he can generally stay away from guards/stall owners chasing him, and he can disappear into small places that no grown man can fit through. His quick fingers also help him with this.
-Apart from that, he often stays undetected for the simple reason that not many people pay attention to a small boy loitering about. They also often underestimate his quick wit and street wisdom because of his age.
-He possesses a pretty much boundless amount of energy. No matter how long he had to run to get away from people, he needs only a short break before he's ready to roam the streets again to get into trouble.
-Having been born and raised in Bardavos, and having spent pretty much all of his short life on the streets, he knows many nooks and crannies to hide in, where nobody bigger than him can follow him. He also knows his way around the town, though he visits richer areas.
-His looks help him get a meal from some rich lady who couldn't resist his angelic blond curls and hesitant half-smile. He has practiced this little smile to perfection, and he chooses his victims with care.
-Though he roams the streets of Bardavos pretty much night and day, his age and shabby appearance save him from the attention of some of the seedier types in town. In short: he doesn't have any coin, and he looks the part. Despite moving in their territory, they leave him alone because he is no threat to them. On the contrary, he may even earn a meal every once in a while by playing messenger to these cutthroats.

-He is still not done growing by far, but he generally doesn't get enough food in the day to meet his body's demands. He is hungry just about every day, and pretty weak in his arms even compared to other boys his age. He is also quite small, as a result of constant undernourishment.
-The combination of being six years old, living on the streets and stealing to survive lands him in trouble with authorities all the time, be they city guards or stall owners. Though he usually manages to outrun them, he's spent more than one night in jail, certainly the last year when he didn't have a home to be brought back to.
-After his mother passed away, Jonas was alone, since he'd never known his father and he didn't have any other relatives as far as he knew. At five he was too young to be able to keep the house, and he has lived on the streets since then without a penny to his name or a roof under his head.

Jonas was not really lucky to be born, though he himself does not see it like that. His mother had come to Bardavos with high hopes of becoming a bard. Several years later she lived in a ramshackle hut on the run-down side of Bardavos, with a five-year-old running around and making a living as a seamstress. She never told her son who his father was, or if she ever got into the academy. Though Jonas didn't know it, she had gotten the chance to enter, but ended up not being able to because of her pregnancy, so somewhere she always blamed her small son for her situation, even though she did love him.

The small boy grew up basically living out on the streets of Bardavos. As soon as he was able to walk, he was out there, pretty much only coming home to eat and sleep. His mom let him, mostly because it kept him from underfoot while she worked. It also kept him from seeing her gradual decline into illness. She'd started coughing often when Jonas was four, and over the year it grew steadily worse. She never went to a healer, waving it off as a passing thing. Besides, she didn't have the money for any kind of healer.

The result was that one day when he was five, Jonas came home to find his mother's prone form on the floor of the little hut. The dress she'd been working on was lying next to her. When he went over to wake her up, he couldn't. Worried now, he went to get the neighbour woman. A very confusing time followed for the little boy, and when it was over he couldn't come home to his mom again, because there was no home left. Or rather there was, but someone else was living in it. He slowly came to realise that he would never see her again, but by that time he was already starting to forget what she looked like. All he can remember now is her voice, telling him stories of faeries and dragons as he lay in his bed.

For a time, he lived with the neighbourwoman who he'd gone to get when his mom died, but despite his age he could very soon see that he was nothing but a nuisance to her. She had five mouths to feed, and didn't really have the energy or the food to care for a sixth. One day, he just disappeared into Bardavos, convinced that he could take care of himself. Since that day, he's been learning to steal food or rather, perfecting this skill, which he'd possessed since about the time he first started roaming the streets. He's survived so far, though he's a lot more hungry than when his mom was still alive.

Belongings: the clothes on his back.

Only thing I could spot was this

"He also knows his way around the town, though he rarely comes in the richer areas."

"Rarely visits richer areas"  might work better :).

Hi, little boy, a nice Cd have you here!

I don't know, if it is still handled like this, but the mods might want to know from which tribe your father and mother were, for that determines your actual tribe. So you might not even be a Stratanian.

Thank you for your comment, Talia! I actually did mean for him to be Stratanian. Unless they don't come in the blond variety? ;)

Edit: and I changed that wording, thanks Rookie :)

The spell fell upon the crowd like a dragon,
ancient and full of death.
