The North Eastern section of the city is only casually considered a military district, due to the barracks, prison, and the stricter of the three gates being the entrance to there. However it would be just as likely to be considered a religious area, as five of the seven temples stand inside the place. While this particular section is not as dreary as the one below it, it can not be considered the cheeriest of the districts either.

On his haste to follow the blonde girl that entered before him , Tiras didn´t notice where he was before it was too late...
Narrowing his eyes , he looked towards the prison and felt a chill down his spine , the last time he was there was still vivid on his mind .
I must start to have more attention to where I am going , the prison... the two days there was a pain , lucklily the warden daughter was there to soften my stay , of course i didn´t meant to leave her like that but how could I pass such opportunity after she left the jail door opened ?

Shaking his head he began to think to where to go , to somewhere before recognizes him.
Remembering that the bard school "The Circle of Dreams" wasn´t very far , Tiras walked out of this grim area towards it .

Aváíyá nodded at them both before urging Toren into the city at a walk, even though the northern district wasn’t as busy as the market place, she didn’t want to make it a little awkward if she started at a trot. Taking a glance around her she noticed the barracks and grimaced at the prisons, she didn’t look at the temples that she passed completely void of any devotion to one of them. And so slowly, she made her way over to the northern district, weaving through people as it got more and more crowed as they approached.

You may proceed posting in the Southeastern District thread, and describe your finding of the stables. :)

Santhos warmly thanked the guards for their time and passed through the gate. He glanced around the streets as he walked taking it all in, the prisons, the temples, and the people. Looking at every last detail of this brand new world around him. As he walked he began to whistle a random tune made up on the spot, a tune full of joy and freedom. It was great to be alive and the world seemed to be complete, even if only for this one moment. "Where do you think we should start first Melody? The market or the tavern?" It didn't matter, he had all the time in the world with millions of possibilities ahead of him.

You may proceed posting in the Southeastern District thread, Santhos, as that is where both of your possible destinations would be located. :)

How impolite these humans were. Without even answering his questions the guard waved him through the gate. Now Lyrién was inside the city of artists but had no ideas where he was. It was still early afternoon so he had plenty of time to find a place to stay for the night. So he just walked for a while and appreciated the city’s colours and scents.

He then stopped at a well-frequented corner of the street he was walking at, fixed his twigs and pulled out his harp. Time to make some money. He – totally unnecessary – cleaned his throat and started to sing an ancient Injérin ballad. He wished he had some sort of magic to help him make his voice more…well…convincing. But he guessed his beautiful voice had to be enough for now. He sang his favourite song, one which always made him collect some sans, of a noble human man and an elven princess who knew their love would end sooner then their lives.

Desmay the Heiress

Light blonde tresses tickling her ears, as they wafted behind her, stirred by the breeze as if enchanted by some ghostly entity, Desmay walked down the busy street, with the wispy ends of her gown twirling about her ankles. As she passed beneath a looming building, the shadow it cast crept up and kissed her milky skin, mingling with the already glum emotions that fought for control of her wayward mind. The pretty heiress had enough san in the small spilken purse that hung from her shoulder to purchase an entire half of Bardavos, but she wandered around aimlessly, regardless. Money was worth nothing when one wanted nothing.

Although one would expect that she, living in the City of Artists, would have her fair share of music, Desmay had never heard the one melody that could stir the pieces of her broken heart. How she yearned for this beloved ballad, which she had experienced so many times in her desperate dreams, and continued to haunt her during the day. It tantalized her with its proximity, yet hovered like a butterfly just above her head, cruelly out of reach. She played the ballad that had roamed her dreams for years, before something in the real, physical world reached her ears.

Blending with the notes in her mind, she could actually here the real song. The notes were so precious to her, they were almost tangible, and she wanted nothing more than to reach out and grab them, and cradle them forever more. And then, listening to the trail of the stunning melody, she located its source. Drifting in that direction, she watched the man sing, with a growing fascination evident in her glassy orbs, coated with a layer of rapture. Reaching deftly into her spilken purse, she fetched a silverbard, and threw it at the elven man's foot, while staring at his face. After a few moments of listening to the chorus, that was all she needed. Running back to her manor, Desmay was ready to begin her life. Having missed out on her childhood after her parent's death, she would live life to the fullest from now on, and the twenty-year-old girl had a plan. And when one with affluence like hers had a plan, there was not a force in existence that could get in her way.

This song was one of Lyrién's favourites: Sad, melancholic, but yet full of hope and with a hint of awakening. He really liked it and was pleased to hear it flowing flawlessly out of him. His voice had never failed him...only this one time but this didn't really count: it was a private performance and he was undressed...

While he was singing and playing the harp, he noticed that only few people were listening to him. None of them had some spare coins from him, but at this time he didn't care anyway. So he closed his eyes and let the song sing itself, using his voice and his entire body as a medium. He almost saw the two lovers, the tall human and the mesmerizing elfess, beautiful in her sublime immortality.

He intoned the last notes and opened his - now slightly moist - eyes. He just catched the back of a young woman, no, a young lady running away from him. He finished the song, played the last bar and looked to his feet...to see a coin he had never seen before: It was silver and much, much larger and heavier as every other coin he ever has had. "This must be worth a lot!", he thought, "let's find a place to find out how much." He was hungry.

As Lyrién walked the streets of the North Eastern district he was thinking about this mysterious and generous young lady who threw this - most probably - precious coin to his feet. He was sure it was a lot...but what is the most expensive piece of metal worth when there is nothing to buy for? Well...this was an unnecessary concern in this wealthy city, he was sure. But still....who was she? He didn't see her but she looked good - at least her back...the rest was up to Lyrién's rich fantasy. His mother was right: His voice was his biggest virtue and his nemesis at the same time. Oh, how he missed her, it's almost been a decade...

Lyrién slowly walked the surprisingly clean streets of Bardavos, fixing his hair and clothes: The next rich lady should see him in his best appearance! While he was walking, smiling, he put his harp back into his bag and looked around. There was a small tavern, a sign saying "The Pig 'n Whistle". It looked...well...he didn't know how it look like, since he had not much experience with taverns...as far as he was concerned it was too small. He opened the door and saw a pretty empty place. Not many people were there but he couldn't see that well. The sheer presence of walls made him instantly feel imprisoned. He turned back and asked a random passerby for an Inn.

The old lady looked at him, examined him, and murmered something like "Sleeping Dragon". What a weird name for an Inn...this would be the last name he would give for a place to rest in, but who was he to judge the human ways of giving names to their places. So he walked on and eventually found a luxurious building...However, his hackles raised instantly....something violent was going on there, he knew it...or was it just the fact that he would enter a place with walls now? There was only one way to find out....
