... Why would you go stand next to a boat around midnight, and not be in bed sleeping? You're gonna have to wait for hours then before everyone else arrives.

It's a shame that you can't accidently be in the wrong 'time' in real life, "Oops I've seemed to have skipped my afternoon and am just back at home watching Lost." But I think Ylva likes to sleep in and wake up at 2pm in the afternoon, so she's not going to be early for this voyage.

Well, Mal, the early bird catches the worm, but I reckon sleeping outside in the docks you might catch a cold, too!   

The plan is that once we've wrapped the party up then we'll just cut to the next morning when everybody arrives at the boat and meets the captain and other NPCs for the first time.  If Mal wants to sleep rough next to the boat then that's okay.  But I don't think Ylva will be able to sleep until 14:00!

As for the familiars, yes, you can take them if you want, but I'd suggest that you don't.  A lot of time will be on board boats, and your destination is a jungle.  Jungles and horses don't get on too well...too many biting bugs and diseases.  But lif you think that Royce would still take them, then that's fine by me.

And yes, Rhia, you can write a finishing post!

Maybe Ylva and I made mistakes when we each nominated you for the Santharian Awards? Too much pressure?    Don't worry, we all have days like this.

I do like this sentence from one of my favourite authors: "If the Muse is late for work, you start without her." But then, Peter Beagle earns his living by writing, so he's had to find a way to be philosophical about writer's block.

Anyway, your posts so far have been nothing short of brilliant. (EDIT: And ordinary posts are okay, too. No-one can be brilliant every day. Anyway:) Fu can remain invisible a little longer. And thanks for letting us know.

I think the best thing you can do is wait a day or two, you can't force yourself to write. Besides this is a messageboard, not a full time job, I thought we posted stuff on here to escape from real life?

Well, Jorn has left the room, (if not the building!)  Once Fu and Kaska have concluded their evening's business then I'll make a post for the next morning when everybody else arrives.  In the meantime, feel free to post in the first thread if you want...maybe what's going through your character's mind as they settle down to sleep or pack.  You don't have to, though!  You could just wait until I kick things off the next morning.

Oh, that reminds me, I'm going to set up a time and weather thread so that there's, (hopefully), no more confusion!
