Jovloff's Gold - OOC: 1

Just a quick post to try and keep things moving; an opportunity to round anything up that you want to before we jump scenes onto the Runner.  My idea is to have a sea-burial for Royce when the characters are back on board the Runner - so have a think if there's anything you might want to say as a eulogy.

I'm going to try to get back into the habit of checking Santh and posting on a regular basis during the summer holiday so hopefully it'll continue into the next academic year...

I decided that I would post my part for Royce's funeral, since nobody else had....

I'm afraid of having to do the same for Jovloff's Gold. So please, somebody, anybody, let the adventure live! Let it continue on bravely on the high seas, to the mysterious island where the treasure is hidden, let the wind blow and the sun never set  on this adventure 'till the gold's taken and the seekers have parted ways.

A lovely piece of writing, Mallorix!  I'm not going to reply just yet as maybe one of the other players will feel inspired to post something after reading yours.  Who knows, maybe we'll get moving again!

My friends,

I'm not sure whether this story is alive at present. Since last year's attempt at a revival, only a handful of posts have trickled into Chapter Four. For myself, I have to say that I have now given up hope of completing our epic quest. It's not just this story - I think I'm in a phase of life where I can't make space for roleplaying - I've explained some of my reasons here.

Anyway, I didn't want to just stay away without saying good-bye. I've enjoyed myself immensely here, and spent many hours during the last four years daydreaming about what might happen next on that ship of ours. I feel fortunate to have played with so many talented writers here. Jovloff's Gold was my very first play-by-post roleplaying story. I will remember it fondly, and as vividly as a favourite book.
