Or she could be at the ferry, in two days, storywise, when Ta'las has another of his 'misbehaving' moods - whatever fits better.

Is Teri around on the board?

Terra, I'll come after you as soon as I know, what Ta'las will post.

Capher, about the child, that's true. It was Terra's idea of having a child which bore that idea.

Well, Terra could stay with the grop, despite being pregnant, for what future has this child if Eckra succedds?

The birth of the child itself (in an hostile surrounding) could be the downfall of Eckra. We just need to write it  - somehow. Maybe the blood coming from having given birth to a child has special powers? ;)

Blood from a child having special powers, interesting twist...it could work, especially if it is blood of a Sophronian warrioress, and a Shendar man....who knows? ;)

I have not seen nor heard from Teri in awhile...

Course I would like Ta'las to sign off on the idea before we run with it, after all either way highly effects his character. Was just throwing my thoughts out there.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delay - I've been a little under the weather.

First, Simonne, I apologise for not acknowledging your post.  I should have, and I have no good excuse - I simply had it fixed in my head what I wanted to write, and I should have responded appropriately.  Sorry Simonne.  I will edit my previous post - too bad my hindsight is so much better than my foresight.

As for the ideas floating around about the 'child'.  Wow!  I hadn't thought Ta'las's churlish behaviour would draw such a response.  Admittedly, he is being mislead by Eckra - or perhaps some minion (I think Eckra might be so powerful that he'd blow Ta'las's mind to bits, or she/he might be more subtle than whomever is manipulating the Shendar right now.  Let's let this play out for now - I need to think things through a little further - and as Terra suggested, some of this is still a little ways down the road.

Well, let's not wait for a decision just now, I'm for Ta'las playing out his role now and everything else we can have afterwards, right? Maybe Ximax, the dwarves, Aminah or anything else (maybe talia, I have an idea) drives this presence (not Eckra, I agree) out of his mind and then the plan can be different.

As the situation is quite new for me as the 'writer', I need some  more days until Talia can react to Ta'las and probably give him a kick to get on the right way again, show him a way to fight this presence or make him aware, that there is something wrong. As a Shendar myself, I might know a way.

Maybe after Ta'las was successful with driving the evil presence out of his mind, the reunion with Terra is very 'intense'  ;)

Perhaps Terra herself could have a hand in that teaching Ta'las some of the meditation techniques she has learned? But yes, my ramblings were more an idea for the future if we use it or not, I will leave that up to the flow of events between now and then.

i agree whole-heartedly...let's just let the whole thing play out and see where Ta'las and Terra end up in... evil

Capher is not thinking things through either or else he would recognize that this is not of Eckra's doing, for as Ta'las has said, Eckra would "blow" his mind!

So in one evening Terra or Talia convinces Ta'las that he has an evil presence trying to control him or does this take place over the couple of days it takes us to get to the ferry by the Shivering Woods, where we rescue Aminah?

I am on some heavy duty pain pills right now so if I am not making sense or have forgotten past posts please forgive me. And set me right...gently.

Lots of emotion - hope its not too over the top.   Shocked

Capher, Talia, Roosje - all of you would have heard Ta'las shouting.  You may not have been able to make out everything, but you would definitely hear that he's cranky.

I have not read Ta'las emotional post yet, but I think, it will take longer to convince Ta'las, that he is on the wrong track. So it might continue till we are in Ximax, let's see.

The ferry is not directly near the Shivering Wood, but the forest is some estimated 30+ strals away. So far, Talia sees no need to venture into it, the path does not cross it! let's just see, how the story evolves!

Aminah - I think we should let decide her, where she wants to jump in, either already at the inn, the ferry, if Ta'las continues with his strange way, or if she wants to be rescued out of the Shivering woods :)

@Capher: Do get better soon!

Edit: I posted. Of course I wanted to run in the room immediatly, (as Talia and the writer ;) ), but maybe you want to say something to Ta'las , Terra, before I stomp in ;)

Tallia - I'm not sure how long it will take to convince Ta'las that he is wrong - in fact, he is not much in control of himself at all.  He is dangerous right now, but he is also not thinking straight.  And he's acting creepy...

Terra - Any sort of mental techniques to help Ta'las regain control of himself will help - both with this current problem and with his future development along the path to Second Reality.

Everyone - another reason I'm having this happen to Ta'las is because I felt he needed a weakness to offset the progress he made in the Vale with his weapons' training, and also something to show him that he was still very far away from attaining true 'enlightenment', and that he knows a lot less than he thinks.

Yes, Capher - please do get well soon!

I may have to go back into the hospital...I am not getting any better and the doctor(s) are concerned. We shall see...if I do go I will try and post that I have gone so that the story can still continue with someone willing to carry me along until I get back...and I will "be back" if I do go.

Till then I am going to rest...hopefully.
