Garret, I', insulted, that you don't like my dessert (Just joking!)

But apart from that, I think I need to start to rework my desert entry soon. And add, that it will cost a lot more  - time and money - to cross it with a Shendar guide than taking the ship. The Shendar don't earn a lot money by guiding people, they have other incomes and prefer to be alone there. They may just refuse to guide somebody through their lands, if they don't like his face!
So be nice, when you will come to Kiri'i and look for a guide.

And I will prepare a map with distances...


Altario, the more I read from you the more I admire you! Your fairly dry Remusian descriptions didn't prepare me for your eloquent way of writing. And your ability to include an aching knee within such a great love scene. I'm jealous! (I fight instead with vocabulary, past tenses of verbs, this damn lying , lieing  - no , laying ..oh well)

Just a question, why is destiny invisible for non-logged in members? I'm sometimes just looking if a new post is here, but I need to login to see that - a disappointment, when nobody has posted something new

And I always fight with lying, lieing, laying too.

And I've played with both Garret and Val long enough in other stories to know that they are talented writers that can write a wonderful 10 paragraph post on near nothing to work with, so it is pushing me to try and keep up.  I don't wanna look like the illiterate troglodyte of the group.

See, I'm half a desert expert now, so much I have read for Santharia (well, not half, a tiny little bit ), and I always wanted to visit a desert, but it never was possible - lack of money (that solar eclipse in the Sahara would have been great) - not really the time to do it. My husband visited only two months ago the Atacama in Chile and brought back desert dust on his macbook! *sigh*

I have been crossing the Atacama as well, years ago - and it was raining the very day the train crossed it (from Antofagasta to Potosi) ! That occurs every 20 years or so for a short time.

Probably I would not be able to endure the climate - but I long to visit a desert since the time Artimidor said I should look into Shendar housing.

I'm out in Southern Nevada, Las Vegas area, kinda near the middle of the Mojave Desert. Just as a side note: I hate the city as well. I'm not a fan of the desert bein' from Houston, Tx with a lot of rain and the humidity. Prefer the humidity over the dry heat.

I think I would need some heat to cure my aching back and my permanent running nose... though a moist climate is surely something I would miss as well.

Damien, I like the post.    I hope that it forms the basis of a flawed character who needs to find himself once more.  It adds an interesting spin.  It will interesting to see how Altario reacts when he sees an old friend who has obviously hit bottom.

Edit:  I'm glad that you starting in Strata.  I hope that you do not get all cleaned up and sober by the time that Altario comes across you.  Better this way.

@ Altario, does that mean that I stay in Strata until you cross my path or I find my way to TH and cross yours? And yeah, Damien is a lost tortured soul needing to find his way back. I thought it would be a nice twist to things.

You won't have time (game time) to get to the TH.  It is after sunset now, and I plan on getting started toward Strata by morning, so that we are in the city by tomorrow night.  We will need to find accommodations there, so we can run into you by happenstance at that point.
