About Eric's questions:

(1) How the rescue party would find Grallen & Lili: Kassandra has already quoted this little revealing statement of Tyrr's:

"Now let's get to the ship. We can clean ourselves up there and then afterwards Quar take care of that woman. Make sure the crabs are fed well!"

Either Lori could remember this, or Kassandra could say it again ... It might inspire Garret and Damien to have a look around at the harbour, mightn't it?

(2) How a rescue party consisting of two adults, one child, one wolf and one bird would actually go about rescuing anyone from a fully-manned pirate ship:

No idea!

I doubt, that Lori would be able to remember all, but she could encourage Kassandra...

I fear, Lori is too tired to be of help anymore, but she could alert some of her old friends*.. or there could be some guards at the harbour who might help. OR, the Trio sets itself out of action.

What have Lili and Grallen to do?
Just escape from the cabin and jump into the water? (Poor Earnest)

* A band of children (15?) might be a surprise for the sailors, they are not strong, but agile. With enough money throw at them and some promise to have fun, this might work.

Talia, I like the idea of the band of children getting involved. It would probably involve quite a few posts from you, though. If you've got the time, I think it would be great.


Can I ask where Grallen & Lili actually are on the ship? They are in the hold, right? Therefore, I assume, there is no window? And only one door?

Well, Lili, that doesn't have to be me, who plays the children. My problem would be, that I have no idea how to describe fights, I surely miss the vocabulary! (Ship and fighting moves)

Damien & Garret: with a little imaginative coaxing, Kassandra might just reveal a secret or two ... So don't be shy!

(I didn't want Kass to blabber out everything at once - cause that would be boring, wouldn't it?)

PS: Edit: Damien, I've thought about your idea of Damien and Kassandra making friends. I think it's a good one, actually. At the moment, Damien is not strongly connected to anyone in the group (except to Alt, who however has decided for now to despise him) - so a flirt with Kassandra could be a way in for him, as it were. Whatcha think?

Actually, I'm sure you'd write a great fight, Talia! But apart from that, you're right: if it's a band of street urchins we want, we could all participate in playing them, so as not to overburden you.

Yes, I think a load of kids running all over the ship and drawing attention to it would be enough to make Eric think twice.  As I've already hinted at in his posts, he's not exactly happy with kidnapping Lili, anyway.  I think he'd be very reluctant to let the commotion of a fight draw any law enforcement types to his boat.

That's one way it could be done...

Really, it depends how much of a fight the players want.  I can play it either way; giving an opportunity for some serious swash-buckling, or not, as the case may be.

Of course, personaly I'd love to read, (and write), some 'action' posts!  I love it!

Oh, I think there will be more than enough fighting. Eric, you were hired to do a job, so was Tyrr, and he is not going to like being roughshod by you or anyone else.  He may have some words with you Captain!

I think the idea of having a bunch of scurvy kids running around on the boat, throwing food and stuff like that is a great idea...of course Garret, Damien, Shadowfoot, and even Kassandra will get their licks in as well...Question is where are you going to find the kids? From Lori's old street mates? Or from somewhere else?

Oh, and of course Lili and Grallen will have some fun too....

I will post tomorrow, sorry for breaking up the routine and sorry for not changing into Damien, but I am up late because of pain and thought a little reading might help. I had no idea Destiny all of a sudden woke up so quickly...

Ah, excellent!  Seems both Tyrr and Grallen are up for a fight!     Just hope Eric doesn't lose a chunk of his nose!  Though I think Tyrr deserves to be bitten more...he's probably tastier, anyway...bite Tyrr, Grallen!

I really like the kids over running the ship.  I see that final fight scene from the movie Hook running in my head.

Yeah, Altario I was thinking of the same thing...the Lost Boys, and girls.  Lori could be Tinkerbell, as she is the tiniest of the group. Garret would be Peter Pan, Damien would be Ruffio, Lili would be the little girl who sings her brother out of Hook's spell. Eric of course would not be Cap'n hook, but Hook's co-hort for Tyrr is Hook who gets eaten by the crocodile, in this case it would be Grallen. And Quar and Gres are Lili's to deal with.

Somehow that does not all fit in...I may have to rethink it all.
