To be honest, Dru was giving me lots to work with, so it was easy to keep up the intensity.  Glad you enjoyed.

EDIT:  BTW, this is why I don't write in a comedic style!  I try to write a joke once, and poor Alt gets the stuffing kicked out of him.

Especially that answer of Dru has impressed me. I thought she would now relax, but no, she was offended! That was a great move and true to her char, I think.


I encountered a problem with Orly's post. He is a bit early. The gang has not yet be alerted, Mido was not here yet and so they do not know, that they will be hired for a job. Nor is Lori really involved. I don't think, Kaltaara and her supporters would agree, if it was for Lori. They get payed, that's why they look for Lili.

Garret, Damien, you need to play the children for now, do the bargaining with Mido or Kaltaara. You can choose, which one of the kids you would prefer. Mido would do something for Lori, Kaltaara and most of the gang not. Money!!!

I don't think, we would hire  kids to rescue Lili, but to look out for her and find her. But they could decide on their own, that a bit of trouble making might be fun.

I posted a quick overview of Chapter One-Part One in the Info Desk thread, for people to catch up on.  I tried to write it in a lighthearted style.  I'll try and get Chapter One-Part Two done at some point, then Part Three, unless someone else wants to give it a go.

If we keep doing this, updating at regular intervals, we can keep a concise log of our story which will help new players integrate better and maybe hook new visitors to the site into reading the story in its entirety.

And thanks for the compliments, Talia. Honestly Dru was just about ready to calm down, but Alt threw more oil on the fire with his joke.

@Alt: I'd like to thank you btw for recalling the little facts about my character. I neglected to write how she walked and the intensity of her speed and strength, but you did these for me which added a lot more to the scene.

I actually think it's funny, because really Alt and Dru are pretty similar, and I think after they've had time to get to know each other they will end up getting close. They've both got similar goals, they both revile orcs (once Dru sees Grallen and Tharoc, oh boy), and they're both rather old for their race and have had a long time to experience things that have made them very cynical. Plus they're both 'creatures of cold' and even have the same colour eyes, haha.

before posting it. I kept seeing Alec Guinness in my head and I almost convinced myself it was a Star Wars quote.

EDIT:  BTW, Alt, excellent job on the recap of Part 1. Erm, when does Part 2 hit the shelves?
