Dear fellow Seekers of Destiny,

I am sad to announce a forthcoming long absence.

As some of you know, I am currently writing a PhD thesis. I have devoted considerable chunks of the last three and a half years of my life to it. Now the date of submission is drawing close. For the next two months or so, almost all of my time from morning to night will be occupied with my frantic endeavours to keep the deadline.

Roleplaying is too engrossing, too interesting, too exciting. Once it starts dancing with my imagination, it suffers no rivals. That’s very pleasant to experience, but it’s not conducive to finishing a PhD thesis. Therefore, I will not be able to play from the end of February until mid-April at least.

Fortunately, Talia has agreed to puppet Lili and Kassandra in my absence, as she has done so beautifully before. Thank you, Talia.

I wish you all success in your endeavours to rescue a certain cutthroat from captivity, and I am already looking forward to my return, when I shall enjoy reading about the many twists in which destiny tends to entangle us, its playthings.

PS: I’ll be around occasionally until the end of February, and hope to finish playing Lili’s fight with Quar before I leave. I’ve posted this announcement now, rather than later, so as not to suddenly disappear from one day to the next.

We shall miss you, but RL has to come first.  I'm glad that Talia has agreed to puppet Lili and Kassandra.  Thank you Talia, and thank you Lili for making that decision to allow this rather than forcing us mods to fill a gaping hole.  Lili has become a big part of the story right now. :D

right, hopefully this isn't an absence message as such...
easter holidays have started, so i'm heading back to stay with the family - only apparently their internet connection is less than reliable. if this means i can't get on as often as i should then i'm sorry - and this is an advance (alright, not very) warning if that;s the case. i'll try to get a post up this morning, but dasd said he'd pick me up mid-morning-ish, and i've not finished packing, so if that's not possible then sorry.
