Ok, close the other OOC thread.

@Talia, would you mind choosing another color than gray. I am sorry but I cannot read it at all unless I press my nose to the computer screen. :(

Whenever you wish to have Capher appear just say so and I will post.

The Anvil is with the Kurikim Dwarves as they are the best metal smiths of all dwarven clans and their forebearers buitl the Imlith Bridge of old, and other things during the time of the myths and only Roosjie can lead us to their special gate to their caverns located somewhere near the mouth of the liquidor river,(forgive my spelling) once of course we find out that is who have the Anvil.

I know the Zurghurim dwarfs built Ximax, but I am trying to understand how they can help us? I think that in the library there is hidden, probably magically, a very very old tome that tells not only of where Tris's armory is, but also where Kurik's Anvil is as well.

That is what I am thinking anyway...if there are anyother ideas out there or if I am missing something, or jumping the gun(an American slang expression) which is usual for me, then tell me.  ;)

Well... Ximax being a scholorly (sp? even a word?) city, surely there are liberaries that that are not hidden or closed and perhaps clues can be found in seemingly "harmless" books? Perhaps books that are deemed "harmless" as they paint the armoury of Tris to be no more than a myth, and perhaps not even mention it by name.

That could be one way to go Terra. What do the others think?

I hope I remember not to use grey, Capher, I'll try to.
And I think, once the days here are done (whatever the others have in mind), we just write, that you are standing on the doorsill, maybe when we just have gathered for dinner. Then we have an evening together where we could puzzle out the poem, as far as we can.

Well, do you not want to go to the Zhirghurim dwarves? I thought it would be cool to go there, for they are so well developed. Therefor the Thentrum Clan dwarves sent us there to look for information on the whereabouts of the anvil. Why do we want to find it now in a library of Ximax? Not that we would try search for it.

What I don't understand at all is, why suddenly Roosje is the one who should know, where the anvil is. That was not said when she left the vale with us, nor is it reasonable when I look at her youth, her history. How should such a tiny southern brownie know about the entrance of the caves?? I doubt that here travels carried her farther than Northern Santharia.

Was not the whole goal of the story to go from one place to the next, to piece together where the anvil could be, to find a little more information with every place we visit? To find out step after step, what the stanzas of the poems might tell us?

I think as well, that Roosje should play a bigger part in the near future, but giving her that knowledge about the whereabout of the anvil will not solve the problem.

So, the question I have is now - do you all now want to go straight to the Prominent Mountains and skip the Zhirgurhim and the other place (well developed) which I had in mind before heading towards the north?

Btw, where is the Heart, did not Teri have it? And we still need to have find the sword first. (It is not my sword, though I mentioned it in the poem also! My sword has different qualities)

Another issue: New Characters:

We have:

Capher (mighty wizard), dragon in human form, male

Ta'las, human, male, fighter, guide

Terra, human, female, fighter

Ta'lia, human, female, adventure (fighter)

Roosje, brownie, female, messenger

We need:

Something opposite.

A magic user, a cleric?

Somebody "innocent!" , would be quite contrary to us!  (poem)

A comical relieve, as Terra pointed out ;)

Other races would be fine, but are not as important as what the character represents.

Three new ones, max four, depends on whom we would get.

We can always invite a guest char, e.g. somebody who knows the entrance to the cavern (could be a northern char, or a dwarf)

Should we do an open invitation as we did once? With a task? E.G the char has to find a reason to join us, or a way, even if the group would not need him/her? (E:G running behind us)

Well if Caphers healing is to take several days perhaps Ta'las and Terras search in the liberaries could be friutless or turn up little of emediate use before Caphers return. Caphers return to the group could then either directly or indirectly hearld an encouter with the Zhirghurim who could give us some information we need, perhaps if any pieces were gained by Ta'las and Terra these could fall into place perhaps pointing us to one or more places to find the rest of what we need. Maybe Capher may wish to go with them on their next visit to the liberaries to see what more they could find with his guidence before we have to move on?

Sorry, just rammbling ideas.

I think if Ta'las would like to action his idea of looking for information in the liberaries at the very least it could serve to bond Ta'las and Terra closer, making them more foritable in coming battles.

Talia as usual you are right. We should be going to place to place, person to person, find bits and pieces of information and then go forward from there, ending up at the Anvil's resting place once we find the Sword of Fury and get back the Heart, which by the way was left with the dwarves by the Vale.

I like Terra's idea a lot!

As far as other characters. I think we should open the Heart up but tell any that wants to join that they have fit certain characteristics that we should define before hand and then if they can do that tell us why, where and what their character would bring to the story.

I am really in a quandry over all of this for some reason. It is like my brain shut down and I cannot think. I believe I know the reason and I need to deal with it on my own.  So giving me a few days before I show up will be good.

Hi everyone,

I'll take my turn to wade into things here.

1. According to what is written, it was never explicitly stated that Morcaanan gave the Heart to Teri.  If the Heart is with the Tenthrum, perhaps their Gornegron could have sent my female dwarf 'seeker' (the NPC Brenna) to meet us at the Halls of the Zirgurim with it.  I do think we should go there - it looks like it would be another fun setting to write in.

2. The library thing was just an idea I've had since the Elven Circle.  Leiofin mentioned that the Sword of Fury was in the armoury of Tris, whose location is now no longer unknown.  Ta'las suggested it as an aside, thinking that a great city of knowledge like Ximax might have some clues.  I agree with Terra that the search could simply be a way to bond the two together more closely, and at most provide some vague clues, but nothing concrete.

3. I agree we could use some new characters.  A cleric or wizard would be neat - and easy to find in Ximax.  Maybe a historian or a merchant - could be anything.   The folks mentioned by PM could be invited if we're all in agreement.  If that fails, then I agree with am 'open invitation' along with some parameters that make sense for how and why someone would encounter and join up with us.

Well I will likely be able to devote a little more time to here for a little while, though this is bitter sweet in that I have been laid-off. I an not in fear though. I have been watching the jobs feed out of Future Shop and Best Buy and they are hiring all across Canada, this seems a good sign. Starbucks also seems to be committing to opening new locations all over the place now, even in locations they pulled out of 3 or 4 months ago. Worse case scenario I load up my laptop with software tools and start my own tech business. All the while I have the love and support of my girlfriend who is really an amazing woman, she is there for me when I need her. Even my friends in SL offer their support.

I am ready reappear at anytime. But is not Terra and Ta'las going to the library first? Or am I wrong? And what about Roosjie and you Talia, what are you two going to be doing?

I am leaving if we go to the library or not up to Ta'las as it's on his and/or his characters mind. I am ready whenever we are ready to progress.

Heh, sorry guys.   blush

I was so caught up in our conversation about what to do next, I didn't realise I was holding us up.  I'll restart things.

Ta'las, Capher, have you got my mail concerning new players? Or have I missed your answer? So far I got only an opinion from Irid and Terra.

Ta'las, your concern about not being able to read is nicely described. Didn't think of that!

I hate to admit I can not recall if Terra ever revealed her inability to read, or rather her separation from it, though I am not sure she ever had reason to.
