Just wondered what other Sanths think of the film. I watched it the other day and was blown away! Sure, the story was cliched, but I didn't expct any different. It was the sheer scale and attention to detail that got me; a real visual treat! And the creation of the alien world had to strike a chord with me, even though I hardly ever visit the dev side of the dream!
A beautiful use of the imagination! Anyway, what does everyone else think?

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT!
It was my birthday present (kinda), and we saw it in 3D! I definitely want to see it again and own it!

Very good I thought, it was in my mind a flashy action stlye pocahontas with that 3-D effect thrown into it. Personally I loved it and came out of the cinema thinking 'Wow, that was nice'. That air battle was spectacular.
JAMES CAMERON in one word ___ Legend____
The only thing I thought was weak was the villain, would of much prefered Micheal Biehn to be the aggressive extreme security boss. Micheal Biehn must be in the sequel, he is also a ___Legend____

It's one of the best movies I've ever seen
. One annoying fact is that the animals (Not the Na'vi/Na'avi/Na'avii) are an obvious mix of two to three earth's animals.
But it was great. Great with a capital G. er.... as they say.
(as who said? 10 points if you know)

Have to say I absolutely loved it. Storyline wasn't so great, but the graphics and effects? 10/10, all over.
I especially loved the Ikran, or however you spell it (but the hammerhead rhinos were cool)
Favourite line: "Run. Definitely run."
EDIT: I completely agree, Kalina. I would love to see it again (but only in 3D)

Reality seems boring once you've seen avatar. I mean, it is probably the most visually mind boggling film I've ever seen. My dad put it pretty succinctly when we came out of the theatre: 'Well. You've never seen anything like that before.'
But yus. I absolutely loved it, minor plotholes and occasional cheesiness aside- it's such a landmark film already- and boasts the first CGI effects I've seen that don't actually look at least a little like CGI. I would have happily paid just to see Jake wandering round the forest for a couple of hours.
I'm hoping to see it again as my sci-fi loving bf hasn't seen it, and it'll certainly still be on on valentines

*hi-jacks Yurie's thread*
Do you have a gf, then Ylaya? Meals are a generic choice, but none the worse for it, I find. You can't talk to each other in films.
Besides, you don't have to celebrate such a commercialised festival if you don't want to
