Half-Elf, Allenrhim/ Centoraurian

Santhos listened to the petition of the elf in the room, and to that of the dwarf. Thinking of the old dwarven dislike for elves that he often suffered himself, he smiled at the elf and said in slightly accented Tharian "I would be delighted, though I have to take care of this man for a moment. Save me a riddle though! I'll be back."

Calling behind him so as to not accidentally hit the mans head in the turn within the doorway he called. "You said there was another one? Where is this person? I can take them too." He walked into the stables in order to gain room to turn.

"Aye, she be right o'er there, where me pig usually sleeps." The dwarf followed the half-elf inside and pointed towards the location, a snug corner of the stables filled with hay and a couple of troughs for food and water. There are shelves above the sleeping area where herbal ointments and medicines are stored, in case Buri got an upset stomach, as well as a brown cloth bag nearly filled with sulcho mushrooms. Mushroom sniffing is Buri's specialty, often allowing Thorgas to earn a little coin for selling the rare ones he finds.

"Do what ye will with the knife-ear, chingu." Thorgas said with a yawn. Being concerned with other people is not something he's known for. For him, being concerned for other people's well being is like asking for problems to come knocking on your door, and it is not something that he wants. He would open the said door though, if that problem came bearing sacks of coins or brilliant jewels. "But doon't say I didn't warn ye. T'will be a shame if the Kann would lose a customer, especially them big payers. Further more if it be a patron with a ThergerimEron's tongue."

James watched in trepidation as another tall elf/man came into the stables. But then the man began speaking dwarvish! 'I must have gone insane. Nothing makes sense anymore.' James looked at Ridgen as he made his offer to the newcomer, 'Was this a trick? Did they actually know each other and work together? Was this a trick of Ridgen? Or was this a possible ally? Some friendly dwarfmanelf?' Too many possibilities to be considered. Best to make sure this playing field was level.

"If you do decide to play, sir, then you must abide by the same rules as us all. Any rounds that you miss while you are taking care of the patrons you will make up when you return. Anyone disagree?"

He looked around, challenging anyone to deny this as fair.

Santhos listened to all the talk flung around him, from the dwarf and the small human looking wary and suspicious. He decided that there was no immediate danger and if push came to shove the elf and others around him would not pose too much of a threat.

"I have no thuko with your terms, I accept. However I believe there is another woman who needs my attention. I will return with haste. This sounds like a competition I do not want to miss."

With that Santhos turned around and headed for the stall containing the woman and, once again careful not to squish his furry friend, lifted her onto his shoulder and began to carry the two people out of the stables.

He turned to Thorgas,

"I doubt these people will prove too much of a problem, I am not so helpless myself. I love a good riddle to challenge the mind. But for now lets take care of these poor people, lead the way."

"Very well. The game will operate as follows - James goes first, then I do, then Salena, then back to me, then to mister elf, then back to me again. So it will be three against one. The party to be fully knocked out first loses. Any questions, objections or comments?"

James watched suspiciously, though the newcomer seemed to be much more friendly with the dwarf than the elf, which lended him a bit of credibility. The tall half-elf looked at those present as if gauging the threat that each one posed. James quickly tried to make himself look a little weaker than he was. 'I won't have to try too hard. I haven't had a proper meal in days.'

He listened, somewhat exasperated, as the elf once again stated the terms.

"I agree already, though I can speak solely for myself. Since I am first we can start and the others can determine their positions while they wait for thier own turns. What do you determine my first dare to be?"

James listened with eager anticipation, life was about to get quite interesting.

"Since this is your first dare, I'll give you an easy one.

"Earlier, in this room, you see,
I hid five precious stones.
Find one of them and bring it to me,
Else I feast on your bones."

Ridgen smiled. This is going to be amusing. They weren't so hard to find, and the dare was in essence, relatively easy. The rhyme was unneccessary, but it was fun.

Let us see how this turns out.

James took a cursory glance around the room to see if any of the stones were readily visible, recalling the bizarre path the elf had taken. He saw nothing obvious as he looked along the floor but looking up.. Was there something shining in the...

James crossed the room walking straight to post that had previously held a dagger to find a small stone wedged into the gouge. He plucked it out and looked it over.

"Looks like your going to go hungry. Not to mention a bodied that has been gnawed upon isn't that good for possessing. Its always falling to pieces."
He tossed the stone to Ridgen a bit harder than was necessary.

'If they're all this easy I'll be done in no time'

"Now I must come up with a dare for you. Is that correct? Let's see..."
James looked around the room searching for inspiration...

Salena had gone into a daze, for how long she was unsure for when she came back to reality there was a newcomer that was taking a body out of the stables and the dwarf seemed to have disappeared with his ginormous pig. "Wow I seemed to have out of it for awhile but i recall hearing my names after James, is that correct?" Salena asked out loud, hoping anyone would answer her pondering question.

just then she noticed James looking around the room as if searching for something that wasn't there. James seemed have spotted something with beady eyes and slided across the room and took out a small stone out of the raged post. He asked the pointed eared man if it was his turn.

A bit confused, Salena stood there waiting to find out what was going to happen next.

"Well, it was MEANT to be easy..." Ridgen said as he deftly caught the stone, still maintaining the ridiculously high voice. "I guess it's my turn, then. Only I'll have nothing to worry about, it's not my body we're talking about here. Let's see how this turns out." He juggled the stone with one hand, when an idea came to him for the next dare. Oh this was going to be GOOD.

James cast his eyes around the stable looking for inspiration for the upcoming dare, ignoring the snide comments from Ridgen. Suddenly his eyes fell on one of the water troughs and he got an entertaining yet childish idea.

He pointed to the trough that had belonged to the giant beast that had left the stable. "My dare is simple as well, drink a pint of that water."

He turned to look at Ridgen to see how the elf would respond to this unsavory task...

"Aye lad, follow me, if ye please." Thorgas went out of the stables and headed towards the direction of the tavern. Outside was a stone bench, beside the wall with an impressive growth of glowing moss and the clay pots that held decorative mushrooms. "Just ye put 'em there, on them benches. I be dragging yon tallfolks up them stairs. It be a hard work, aye, but I can't very well ask ye to carry 'em up fer me. An' ye have a game with the long ear." With that, Thorgas gestured a small bow of gratitude; strangers willing to help other strangers are a rare trait for tallfolks, and this one is doing a good job of impressing him.

"Drink a pint of that water."

Ridgen almost laughed at this prospect, but he kept himself in check. Rising from where he stood, pocketing the two stones on his person, he walked over to the trough and drank the somewhat safe to drink water. It wasn't pleasant, but a dare was a dare and this was another completed.

"There. It wasn't as bad as you may think, actually. Besides, if my host gets sick, it's not my problem.

I guess it's your turn, miss. Would you prefer a dare, a riddle, or, gods forbid, combat?"

Watching the pointed eared man drink dritsy water from a bowl made Salena a little uneasy. He then turned around and asked what she would like since it was now her turn to play this mans foolish game.

As Salena pondered for a few she quickly made up her mind.  "I believe I shall take the dare my good man," she soon then wondered what the dare would be.

For some odd reason, Salena had the urge to look at James, she seemed to be intreged by his looks. Flashing him a quick smile, Salena turned her head back to pointed ear man.

Kareesh had stopped just outside of the stables, leaning against the side of it, and had watched as another Elf appeared and started speaking in what she could only assume was the language of the Dwarves. The Elf ended up carrying both Zarkin and Mallayn outside and appeared to be asking the Dwarf what to do with them. A lump got stuck in her throat as she thought about what would happen to Zarkin. Her sognastheen eyes followed the Dwarf as he walked back towards the tavern and pointed out a stone bench.

Pushing herself off from the side of the building, she walked over towards the Dwarf. She pushed her nervousness about the situation to the side of her mind as she began to speak. "Sir, may I ask as to what your intentions are for the unconscious man. He was....is....a good friend of mine and I just wanted to make sure that he would be well treated."

As Kareesh awaited his answer, her mind slightly wandered. She questioned whether she was doing the right thing. After all, Zarkin had made it pretty clear that he wanted nothing to do with her, once he found out she was an assassin. But what was wrong with being an assassin? So, she got paid to kill, how was that any different than a common butcher. It's not like she went out of her way to kill random people. It was people's stupidity that annoyed her. Yes, she did kill people, but it gave her coins for food and a place to spend the night. In her eyes, she was doing the world a favor by getting rid of someone who other people didn't want around. Thus, more people were able to keep their hands clean, while she was the one with blood staining her hands.
