Title: Forests Post by: Kiturien on 22 December 2002, 08:01:00 Hello dear Newbie instructor.
I would just like to know if there is any tips for making forests. The only statement in the workshop is: "copy" I think that sucks because when starting out, you have made NO trees and forests at all. ![]() Is it possible that you could send me some forests?? Title: Re: Forests Post by: Artimidor Federkiel on 22 December 2002, 08:48:00 I assume you're refering to the map making tutorial. Well, how about downloading some maps you can find on the site and copy some forests/trees from there to start from, eh?
Title: Re: Forests Post by: Greybark on 22 December 2002, 11:28:00 *****Greybark stands in front of a bare patch of ground in the middle of nowhere. He strains, pants, sweats, and tries every spell he knows......time passes.....eventually, the impossible happens.....a tiny shoot bursts from the sandy soil and quickly stretches out into a full-size tree.
"not bad for a day's work!" he says, while mopping his brow and looking around at the sand dunes which fill the desert up to the horizon in every direction. He looks back at the lone tree in despair. "This could take a long time"*****

Title: Re: Where to download?? Post by: Artimidor Federkiel on 23 December 2002, 03:09:00 Not in Photoshop format, but just check out the places forum, Maps Overview and you'll find a lot of JPG maps there, which will suffice to copy some trees

![]() ![]() And then you just copy the tree and paste it lots for forests. And change the size of the tree depending on the map size or whatnot. ![]()
