Santharian Development

Hi.

First of all, I just want to congratulate you all on such a fantastic site, and the apparent success of such a grand project. From the brief sections that I have seen, I'm only just beginning to glimpse the full scale of everything that you are doing and have done. It's fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Secondly, I would like to request to join the development team. A little bit about me - my real name is Lance, I'm 21, male, and live in London in the UK. Been into fantasy books, and RPG's since before I can remember.

If I could join, I would like to start off doing something maybe in weapons or armor, and then eventually move on to some form of writing.

Welcome to Santharia... Just take a thorough look around, and I'm sure there's a lot of interesting stuff to discover  

And yup, help is always appreciated, especially in the fields of weapons and armour you mention, here we definitely need to get more entries   If you want to work on something in this respect just take a look at the sticky topic at the Miscellaneous Forum (or click here) on how to describe a weapon for example. Just let us know here in advance what you'd like to try your hand on and then we'll give you an ok if this sounds fine

Having glanced through the list of races (in order to create a suitable weapon that fits in well with a particular culture) a few caught my eye, like the Sor'inyt tribe. However, the ninja-esque Kasumarii assassains immediately grabbed my attention and imagination.

I would like to create a weapon for the Echilianii order, since they have ritualistic weapons, and lean towards causing as much pain as possible with them.

The two ideas I have in mind:

1: Blood Thirst - A short dagger that is kept alongside the favoured Nightooth. It has two distinct edges, sharp and smooth and one with jagged edges. The first is used to slash open a wound, and the latter is used to rip it open even further - and for purely torture purposes.

2: Kar-ii Assassain Arm Guard - An arm guard that is worn on both wrists to deflect incoming swords. Etched onto the metal is a violet crescent motif, symbolising Korenjah, Lord of the Shadows.

Great. I've already completed a first draft for the Blood Thirst and will post it in the Misc Forum. Was a little harder than I thought, as I had to make sure that I read up on quite a few things so that I didn't contradict anything else, e.g. like the poor quality metals found in Cyhalloi.

Feel free to bring half of the United Kingdom to Santharia!  Well, not that I think of it: With you, Sanjiyan, Wren and perhaps with the returning Coór'Efér we indeed get a pretty decent UK division  - Only wonder what has swallowed our gnome expert, Avis?

Anyway, just take it easy, Sanjiyan! Though there's indeed a lot to read, that's why it perhaps is always best to try to find some sort of field of expertise where you try to add more stuff, e.g. concerning weapons or something. I'll see to check your first contribution soon

Hello, Sanjiyan. Yes, many of the tribes could use goo weapons. As for teh Armguard you mention, I would jusggest having it be a weapon of the Korenjaan, not the Echiilianni. The Korenjaans worship Korenjah while Echiilianni worship Echiilian. All the sects tend to have different gods or goddesses that they worship.

Welcome to the site, BTW. It's always nice to have new, fresh ideas. And 3X3 Eyes is a good series.
