Goblins dont fear water, who said that? They were actually partialy created of water. the Gork/Mork religion is belived in by almost all inhabitants of Orcal, and is therefore an orcal religion.

[Could this be used as an entry on the Gork and Mork religion? Info on the Gods later (in own entries)... Will write more later...]

Orcal beliefs. The inhabitants of Orcal have their own, very special religion based on two Gods: Gork and Mork.

In the beginning there was...:
In the beginning there was nothing, until the Hour of the First Creation. In this holy Hour, two twins came out of the former nothing, bearing the names Gork and Mork. These two twins belonged to no sex, and they were as different as night and day. Gork, sturdy and serious, created the Johgab, the World and everything hard in it, just for the fun in it in the Hour of the Second Creation. When Mork heard about this, it ventured from it's nothing to it's cousin's nothing. When it saw what Gork had done, it immediately made all soft things, humourous and peace-loving as it was. And then the Johgab was finished. After they were done with it, they started to get bored once more and decided to mix some of their spirits and make a pet out of it. They named it Gaffel, and it looked like a cross-breed of mouse and lizard. They adored the animal at first sight, it was so adoreable. After some time, Gaffel finally saw the Johgab. It wanted to play with it and jumped on it, unknowing as it was. When touching the Johgab, Gaffel melted and became the races. First, its heart melted into the goblins and then the orcs and gorbas came from one of the melted eyes. All other races and animals came from a special part of the body. That is how the races originated.

Where do the Orcals come from:
It is believed by the Orcals that they originally came from The Sacred Land, where Gork, Mork and The Holy Thing is to be found. After a while Gork and Mork moved the greenskins from this holy land, in fear of the last-mentioned being erased by the sight of The Holy Thing, Gork's hardness and Mork's softness. They summoned a strange, green light, and showed it to the later prophet Ghukfur the Wanderer.

Further miracles and wonders:
As all gods, Gork and Mork has performed some so-called miracles. One very known miracle is the so-called Coming of Gaffel, which happened in the Santharian year of 598 b.S.
It had been a good year till then, both in harvest, economics and politics. But suddenly, one day, it was so cold that many animals, plants and greenskins freezed to death. The next day was extremely hot, making it difficult to breath, and even more died of that. But the next day, it started raining some mysterious, but adorable creatures from the sky. These looked like a cross-breed of mouses and lizards, and was approx. 1 and a half foot high. This was exact with the description of Gaffel, and the creatures was named Gafflers, as the Orcals meant that they were a sign from Gork and Mork. These creatures can now be found all over the northern part of the Nybelmar continent. as they are sacred by the Orcals, they aren't hunted on from them, although they catch and tame them in multiplicity. These creatures have also been a popular target for human hunters, but almost no one has managed to shoot one, as they fire small air-bombs on the hunters.

Temples and other holy places:
There exist many temples dedicated to Gork and Mork, but the most important ones are probably the Grand Temple located in the city of Orcal and the Mountain Temple on top of the Zu'Ka mountain [see my 'To Koldar...' post], which is located in the forest south in Orcal. As there are two major temples in this area plus the only temple dedicated to Gaffel, it can only result in a large mass of pilgrims every year. Another holy place is the outdoors temple of the Vugart forest [the forest south in the Orcal area], which in the famous goblin Ba'Ul Hruk Gab was borned.

Prayers:
The Orcal are very fanatic in their belive in Gork and Mork. They must pray two times a day, one in the morning for Gork, and one in the evening for Mork. As the Orcal calendar [coming up!] has weeks with eight days, the Orcals go to the local temple every Gyfsday, the last day of the week. There are some strong belivers that are called 'the Fallen Priests', which mainly cosist of beggars and people that have lost everything, which walk around in Orcal and flagellate themself. These also have an own battalion in the Orcal army, being called 'Religious Revengers'.

Priesthood and other brother/sisterships:
The priests of Gork and Mork make up the bulk of the religious-working people in Orcal, being one of the lowest grades a Gork/Mork working beliver can have. Following is a table on the grades of the priests of Gork and Mork. [I have sent you a mail with it, Art]

Also following is a quick chart on how the priesthood system works. [I have sent you a mail with that one too, Art]

Famous priests and prophets:
There are many priests/clerics of Gork and Mork that have had influence, be it smaller or bigger, on the Orcal history. One of them is Stark Raving Mad, which original name was Kuftu Jog Gab. He was borned in 471 a.S.
As he grew up, he became more and more popular within the Gork and Mork priesthood, and finally he became the Soulmixer of Gork. He immediately started a war against the wild orc and gorba tribes, trying to convert them into Gork and Mork belivers. After he had converted some tribes with his army, including the tribe that was located where the famous fortress of Vargkul, where the prophet Gnufruk Gruknag Groku later on was borned, is located today. After some considering, Stark decided to go and convert the next tribe all on his own. Unfortunately, the tribe had an Uon'kh'al'on in their small mob of warriors. The Uon'kh'al'on casted a illusion spell on Stark, making him see cookie-monsters all around him. The Uon'kh'al'on immediately died of the energy drain. Stark flew back to the main capital of Orcal, Orcal, but since this was a permanent spell, he still saw cookie-monsters all around him. When the people heard this, they immediatelyelected a new Soulmixer of Gork and threw Stark in to the wilderness. That is how he got the name Stark Raving Mad. Another known prophet is Ghukfur the Wanderer, which you already have heard of.

[The entry on Gnufruk. Will write more later. And add more details]

Gnufruk Gruknag Groku. (1632 - 1704 a.S.) Famous goblin adventurer, prophet and later inn-keeper. Gnufruk was the son of the goblish priest Ufitur Groku, which later served as a Master in the Orcal priesthood. In those days, he was replaced with the old Master priest of the fortress of Vargkul, which is located nort of the forest south in Orcal. It was in this fortress Gnufruk was borned and raised. As he grew up, he learned about Gork and Mork, but he also learned about other Gods from the prisoners in the dungeon. From the last-mentioned he also learned other tongues; the tongues spoken by humans, gnomes and dwarves. When he reached the age of 14, he ran away from the fortress, in search of adventure. And he did find what he was looking for, together with an young philosopher named Ba'Ul Hruk Gab. They were arrested several times for insulting the Grand Emperor while they were drunk. They were thrown out in the wilderness, Ba'Ul went back to the city to study to be an initiate. Gnufruk continued his adventures, and he got into trouble with the Snakepeople, some wild gorba tribes and several inn-keepers. Finally, at the age of 20, he fooled a goblin sailor and trader to sail him to the, for him, unknown Northern Sarvonia. There he met many more dangers, and he also managed to get lost in some underground maze, where he met the adventurering party of Curgan and Xaron, which were in search for the evil liche Arpagar. After they had finished the quest, Gnufruk went home to Orcal, where he found out that he had exceptional magic abilities. He met ba'Ul which now was kicked out of the priesthood and now was a well-known scientist. They ventured out in the wilderness, and there they met a gorba named Gufur Mancrusher, which was amazingly strong, and he joined them. After they had traveled further to the sout in Orcal, they met a Snakeman named Rrrut Ssshij. He also joined them, and the party ventured on. As time passed by, Gnufruk and Ba'Ul was joined by many a warrior, and in the end, he had a formidable army consisting of goblins, forest-orcs, gorbas and countless other greenskins. He decided to take revenge on the Grand Emperor and invaded Hiog, to cut Orcal's economics. He invaded it and succeeded, and now he decided to invade Orcal too. When his army stood at the gates of Orcal, surrounding it, so that no one should escape to Norto. As it would take days for the main army of Jogu to arrive, the Grand Emperor surrendered and fleed to the Zu'Ka mountain, where he soon was sacrificed to the gods of the Snakepeople by the last-mentioned. Gnufruk was declared a prophet of Gork and Mork and became Soulmixer for Gork, and stayed in that occupation for several years until he, Ba'Ul, Gufur and Rrrut sailed for Northern Sarvonia. They settled down in the Shadowdale and met the ogre Fafrur Ghoug, which was an excellent door-keeper. Gnufruk also established 'The Black Water Inn', which still is famous for its excellent beer and food. Rrrut made an excellent cook, Fafrur was an incomparable door-keeper, Ba'Ul stood for the economics on a fabulous way and Gnufruk did the rest of the work. One night, ba'Ul and the others heard a loud shout from Gnufruk's bedchamber. When they reached it, and opened the door, they could see Gnufruk burning with a strange, green fire, and suddenly disappeared in a purple energy cloud. This is the story of Gnufruk. Several years later, in the year of 1789 a.S., Gnufruk was declared a saint, and a church was established in Orcal to his honor.

How about in the middle of the forest south in Orcal? There the Snakepeople could live.
