The city of Orcal is east of it.

Ok, good proposal. I will follow it.
But I'd still add a small mountain in the middle of Orcal with a forest around it.

It would be better if the mountain was in the middle of Orcal, as I already have planned on having a temple dedicated to Gork and Mork on top of a mountain to the left of the city of Orcal, which lies in the middle of Orcal (the country). Further details on that in my 'Orcal beliefs...' post. Also, I would add a forest around the mountain.

If you plan on making a map of Nybelmar, there's something I must tell you... In the area next to where Orcal (the city) lies I would like to add a gigantic mountain of some sort (not volcanic). As Goblins love living underground, this could be some sort of shrine for them. On the top of it a big temple dedicated to Gork and Mork could lie.

37  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / The usual question... on: 01 May 2001, 11:58:00
Instead of asking the usual question 'Is this enough, Art?', I this time ask Koldar! So, Koldar, is this enough?

Ogers, the. One of the minor races of Aer'ai'chan. Often interpreted as cousins of the gorbas.

Appearance: Ogers are often overly fat, with sharp ears and teeth, like the goblins and orcs. Their skin is usually a faint yellow, although some with light-green skinned have been spotted. A full-grown Oger is almost as high as a full-grown gorba, only one ped shorter. Most of the Ogers have flat noses, althuogh some long-nosed also has been spotted.

Ogers are rare to be found at both orcish and goblish societies, as they eat more than five goblins, and if they dont get 'enough' food, they can have extremely violent outbursts, which can result in the whole tribe laying dead the next morning. Therefore it is more common to see 'wild' Ogers. Ogers living in the cold Northern Sarvonia, where they mainly exist, usually have their skin covered with fur, although there exist tribes of Ogers with rather naked skin. When at war, Ogers tend use bones or clubs which is simple to make and to use. Many of them wear clothning, but it is almost always made of hide or an unlucky adventurer's skin.

Cosmological Origin: According to the elven Cárpa'dosían myth Ogers were among the races which came to life after the four main races (elves, dwarves, humans and orcs) sprang from the four elements. Thus, being cousins of orcs, Goblins also were touched by the Rain of Life which fell on Aér'aí'chán, bearing the spirit of the High Goddess, Avá the Beautiful. Though the myth itself doesn't mention explicitly how all the minor races originated, there exist elven commentaries, which try to work out more details here. In one of these commentaries it is said that

("On the Races. Commentary to the Cárpa'dosía" by Hém'éh'lóth the White)

Since the beginning of time, the Ogers dont have any important history other than that most of them participated in the Sarvonian Wars, on the Orc side.

Mode of living/habits. Ogers usually live approx. 120 years, although some live shorter and some longer. Ogers usually feast on meat from any animal or beast they can hunt down, but cannibalism has also been spotted. Ogers have one life rule: "Me eat meat - you eat meat - we harmoni - we eat humies", so they dont eat eachother, just the other races. Young Ogers often follows their parents on hunting trips, so it is quite common to see very young Ogers fighting when battling 'wild' Oger tribes.

Family, Society and Culture. Many people thinks that the Ogers are pretty stupid and look at them as beasts, not a race on its own, and many is the great warriors who have died in that belief. The Ogers have no organized social system, for them its just 'me stronger than you - me kill you -me be boss'. Ogers tend to speak a tongue of their own, which consist mostly of grunting noises and oinks, very similar to the orcish Kh'om'chr'om tongue. The few Ogers that live in orcish societies speak the Kh'om'chr'om tongue. The Ogers call those gifted by magic abilities something that reminds slightly of the dragonish word 'gora' (magic). The Ogers usually believe in the spirits of everything around, something which reminds slightly at the belief of the brownies.

Ok, then I will make a races entry on it. I just wondered because of that the link to the un-finished Oger work on the Santarian website is a link to a bestiary work on Ogers.

But where would the entry be putted? In the races or bestiary section?

Could this be used as an entry on Ogers? Will write more later.

Oger, the.

The Ogers should actually be counted in as one of the minor races on Aer'ai'chan but due to their worship of Coor, they are considered an un-race. Ogers are often overly fat, with sharp teeth and ears like the orcs and goblins. Their skin is usually a faint yellow although some light-green skinned have also been spotted. A full-grown Oger is almost as high as a full-grown gorba, only one ped shorter. The Ogers live mostly in small tribes in Northern Sarvonia, although some have been spotted in Nybelmar. Many Ogers serve the orcs, but this is not common, as an Oger eat as much as three full-grown orcs, and if they dont get 'enough' food, they are likely to have violent temperament outbursts which can result in that the whole tribe of orcs lies dead the next morning. Ogers usually feast on meat from any animal or beast they can hunt down, but cannibalism has also been spotted. Ogers have one life rule: "Me eat meat - you eat meat - we harmoni - we eat humies", so they dont eat eachother, just the other races.

Ogers usually live 50 cycles, which is a long life for an Oger. But in some rare cases, some Ogers have lived up to 120 years. Ogers tend to speak a tongue of their own, which consist mostly of grunting noises and oinks, very similar to the orcish Kh'om'chr'om tongue. The few Ogers that live in orcish societies speak the Kh'om'chr'om tongue. The Ogers call those gifted by magic abilities something that reminds slightly of the dragonish word gora (magic).

As all other races and un-races, Ogers have a cosmological origin, which is a well-known story of the elves. Following are some excerpts from '[i dont know, as I said before im not an elf expert]' by [fill in some fancy elvish name here].

[fill in some sensible story here, like something that I would never manage to write]

When at battle, Ogers tend use bones or clubs which is simple to make and to use. Many of them wear clothning, but it is almost always made of hide or an unlucky adventurer's skin. A big Oger tribe is located in the Shadowlands, from which the doorkeeper of the Black Water Inn; (located in Shadowdale) Fafrur Ghoug comes from. Many people thinks that the Ogers is pretty stupid and look at them as a beast, not a un-race. Many great warriors have died in that belief. The Ogers have no organized social system, for them its just 'me stronger than you - me kill you -me be boss'.
