Man that is awesome. How long did it take? I can see the yellow illumination, and it looks good, but I think that the white hair being so bright is what kinda throws me off a little. Still amazing and a hell of a lot better than I could do. So keep it up!
haha I thought it may have a special place in your heart Belgarion But wouldn't he also have eaten the oddly shaped rock? Or maybe he could be going after it??? Anyways thank you Stormcrow and Belgarion (and Art although it did take some convincing ) for your kind words.
I would assume that we need bugs. I think the problem would be having too many (if that is a problem). Because you have a lot of different possiblities and the bugs can pretty much go/live anywhere. Here are just a few possibilities; Caterpillars (which I think we would need if we have butterflies), mosquitos (aww but what a nice would it would be w/out those ), lice, fleas, ticks, stink bugs, locust, june bugs/any varity of beetles, grass hoppers/crickets, walking sticks/mantids, ants, flies, wasps, moths, and then any varity of water bugs. I dunno these were just some things I came across when fliping trough the Audubon book for North America.
*Throws monkey off back* yep Talia the credit goes to your daughter for the glowing idea, it really helped turn the pic in a different direction. And it just looks cooler
I don't know the answer, but could you email me or post some of the history that you have for it? pnofxw@yahoo.com School is all but out for winter break so I have a couple weeks to finally sit down and draw! No more papers! But anyways, yeah lets get started on this.
I did make adjustments to the staff after the first post, but with out a background I didn't really see the use in posting another version that was lighter. And your daughter actually inspired me to add a green glow behind mine, it looks a lil different, so I thank her for that! On my comp you can see it fine in the first version, although it is a tad dark, so I dunno. I wasn't trying to say she left it all for the comp to do. I was talking about the overexposed look, if you go to the the levels option and let it auto correct them, it turns out looking similar to that.
I really like the light behind the moss agate, as Art said. It looks as if the staff has been mishandled by its owners. The moss agate is chipped, and the bottom grip area is missing! I have never used photoline before, but I have a tip for your daughter for future pics. Instead of letting the computer do all the levels for you (atleast in photoshop it is called levels) if you can play with them yourself and see what looks the best to you. IMO it looks a lil over exposed. Thats my limited piece of insight.
O man I thought I was done with this, excecpt for the background, which I have been putting of I was just drawing what was given, I don't think to ask questions (yeah I am a sheep) *hangs head in shame* After my personal project, one Art doesn't know about I will go back and make corrections. I do value all of your opinions and insight, so thank you.
