I am actually working on the Giant Cheopus.. and I need to edit the only 1 has been found thing... i actually changed that information in the Giant cheopus info i began making.

Basic Overview of the Beast



Considered a monster these beasts are actually quite friendly though they look quite frightening and can be dangerous. Few plain dwarves have been brave enough to actually own these animals, and ride these animals and those few have figured out that these monsters, while dangerous, are quiet friendly and useful. These beasts stand about 3 peds at the shoulder, with a downward sloping back ending in hindquarters that are 2 1/3 ped from the ground. Primarily cream colored they can very with age to darker shades of grey. Their faces look like a cat's, without the fur coating, very lightly coated on the face, they have more whisker like hair then fur.

They have long thin forelegs, a semi short body and hind legs shorter then the forelegs. They have long ears which remain normally pressed to the skull and shoulders. They can run extremely fast, fight with their forelegs and live primarily on the in Nybelmar, though they can be found elsewhere with their "masters."

Male Jumoples have long, thick ebony tusks which often reach lengths of over 4 peds and are shed yearly after mating season.

Appearance
Standing about 3 ped at the shoulder Jumoples have a sharply downward sloping back which ends 2 1/3 peds above the ground. Their length is no longer then 2 ped and they are tailless. Jumoples can come in a variety of colors depending on their habitat, but primarily are cream colored with very light, white fur sporatically spotting their body.

Jumoples gave long ears, long legs and short round faces. Their eyes rest somewhat angeled to the sides of the heads and their ears tend to rest back against their shoulders. They apparently have no neck between their shoulders and head.

Their legs are long and thin and even frail looking but they are far from frail. These animals weigh around 4 pgyee, most of which is the skeleton. Alone the skeleton weighs about 2 1/2 pygee. The bones in the animals legs are stronger  then many other animals' bones, though not strong enough to avoid breakage under severe circumstances and other normal ailments such as sprains.

Special Abilities
When fighting, they spring back to their hind legs, striking their front ones at their Foe. Slashing with sharp hooves, beating and crushing bones.

Jumoples can make a ear piercing screaming nose which, if subject to the sound too long can cause ear damage, bleeding in the ears and even death due to hemeraging of the ear canal and or brain. The sound however, bothers their own ears as well, not to the damaging extent that it harms a two-leggers- but they do not like the sound regardless.

Jumoples can run up to 70 strals per hour through all terrains due to their over-exaggerated, flexible forelimbs and short strong hind limbs. Though they can run very quickly, these animals can not climb very well nor jump. Their strong limbs are not overly flexible.

Due to their light fur, they dont like the extreme cold, or extreme heat and their flesh can sunburn within a few hours in the sun if left dry. However, when wet their flesh makes its own sunblock, and can help it avoid the sunburns for a few hours.


Territory
Jumoples are found only on the continent of Nybelmar

Habitat/Behavior
Jumpoles are active both during the day and night. They feed  16 hours per day and sleep 4-5hours a day, ussually standing up but rarely laying on their sides. They drink daily, but can go without water for up to a week. Bulls (males) drink up to

A Matriarchal clan society, th basic nits consist of a mother with her still dependant offspring and grown female daughters with their offspring. Males live in seperate groups often called bachelor herds, or alone. Being non-territorial their mating sucess depends on size and weapons. Re-growth of tusks  continues into old age making seniors the biggest tusked, and the most often to breed.

Herds of Cow (females)
Nine to eleven members in a normal herd through there have been noted larger herds which split into two seperate herds but still occupy the same home range and associate half the time. Called "bond groups" on average there are 28 related members in 2-3 famiy units. These units normally stay within 1 stral of the other.

Disturbances cause the herd to cluster around the Matriarch(the biggest female) and the calves flock to the middle. The matriarch decides whether the herd stays or flees, and if something happens to her the rest will hang around her in a blind panic. Rather then abandon her, they ussually stay at her side even if it means their death.

Cooperative nature is shown in the attempts to raise and support a fallen group member, one on each side. Under normal circumstances as a matriarch becomes old and ill she is replaced by the next oldest cow and she will usually leave to group or is abandoned.

Bull Herds-(Male groups)
Males leave the cow herds at 12 years.They tend to wander alone or associate with other bulls, typically in herds of 2-12. Bulls wander further then cows during periods of sexual inactivity. Very old bulls are the most sedentary, living out their last days where the grass is in water so they can still consume quantites needed as their last set of molars wear out.

Diet
Jumoples eat all types of vegitation when adults, and when they are young they feed primarily on regurgatated grasses from the females in the herd. Jumoples have been known to swallow rocks and stones as well to help with their digestive system tear apart the leaves and stems of the plants eaten.

When around females in heat males do not eat. Instead the spend their fat reserves fighting and breeding.

Mating
Most mating and births occur near seasons of rain. The males grow their tusks within a few weeks and they eat nearly double what they would eat normally. First conception at 10-11 years, gestation 22 months with an interval between calves of 4-9 years. Bulls begin competing reproductivly at around the age of 25, but normally bigger bulls over 35 monopolize matings.

Usages
The first travelers to Nybelmar came across shed tusks and have been using the thick bone like structures to make jewlery as well as many other things.

Because most Santharians know little about the continent, Jumoples have gone for the most part unnoticed save the myths and legends regarding them.

Skeleton
Strong bones, about twice as strong as a standard bone. Short legs and short 1/16th of a ped.
Very strong jaw and neck muscles that let it stab prey with its deadly teeth.
Medium build- about 1 ped at the shoulder. 1.5 peds in length.
Weight- Males-360-420lbs
            Females- 335-370lbs
Muscle- Pure Muscle, strong and agile.
Skull- About 1/3 ped in length, from base to nose
Fangs- ¼ ped (about 7 inches)- These saber-like teeth were serrated, oval in cross-section.
Jaws- Able to open 120 degrees, unhingable like a snakes.
Pelt-2 different Colorations- Pure in color, mostly tan or dark brown- pure white and Black are seen, but VERY rare.
                                     Orange with deep brown or black stripes, or spots. White underbelly
Eyes- any color eye standard.
Ears- the backs of the ears are spotted black in every color of Saber. Used for sights for cubs to follow when traveling
Tail- Normally black, regardless of feline color.
 Special Abilities                                                                                      
Shortlegs keep the Sabertooth from running fast, max is upwards of 10mph. But, a sabertooth can spring forward, when stalking a meal and cover near 2 peds distance in one bound.
Very strong jaw and neck muscles that let it stab prey with its deadly teeth and hence hold on to a moving prey creature, also able to bite through thick hide, or fur of an animal easily.  
Adaptable, can live anywhere except Extreme cold as long as there is food near.                                                  
Intelligence-very smart, able to figure things out quickly
Strong forearms help Saber’s to climb trees and hunt from high off the ground.
Can see in almost 100% Darkness, Their eyes glow when deflecting light.

Territory
Saber-Toothed felines can live anywhere, where there is suitable prey. They range throughout all of Santharian. A pride of sabre’s will usually roam an area of about 2000peds (about 6000 feet, a little more then an Acre if I did the math right.)
Sabers prefer warm temperatures, and cannot survive in 100% icy conditions, though; there are some with longer fur, the ones that hunt the boars that have adapted over the years to the ice.
Diet
Saber-Toothed Cats eat many creatures They hunt in pride’s so often can bring down animals as large as Hynde’s. Ulgaroth, wooly boars, wild horses and more or less anything that moves. Occasional weak dragons and wyrms have fallen to a Pride of Sabre-Tooths. Whale carcasses also have been seen, half devoured by these strong felines.
Young cats are brought rats and other small creatures until they are old enough to go out of the den and hunt.
Habits/Behavior
Saber-tooth cats lived in grasslands, shrubby areas, and pine forests that supported the plant-eating animals that saber-tooth cats ate.                      
They live in prides, upwards of 50 members, lead by 1 or 2 strong alpha males **somewhat like the Lions of RL** A Male lion will rule the pride until another takes his place. Any cubs in the pride, when a new leader takes over are often killed, to induce heat in the females. Prides hunt together. Males eat first, females second and cubs last. Saber-toothed Cats sleep upwards of 18 hours a day, except during mating times, in the shade or in caves. The other hours are spent grooming, hunting, nursing and eating. Social grooming is highly noted, males will groom a female as part of the courtship process.
Mating
Females reach sexual maturity at around 2 years old- Males at around 2 ½ years.
The lead male of the pride will mate with any and all females in heat. A female in heat will often roar, or “scream.” The act of mating takes around 10 minutes, and a male and female will mate up to 50 times a day for 3-5 days. Females are coy and will walk from the male, who will most often swat at their flank to get them to lie down on their stomachs. Felines are mating induced ovulators, the tip of the male’s penis is barbed, and at the end of mating the male will jump away from the female to avoid her swinging forepaw.
Female’s gestation is around 120 days, normally birthing between 2-6 cubs each litter, in a small under ground den, cave or under a fallen tree. By the time the cubs are 8 months they are weaned from their mothers milk, beginning to eat rats and other small creatures their pride brings them. By the time the cubs are 16 months, they are going out on hunting trips, learning how to hunt large game as their parents do. After 2 years, the alpha males often chase the males from the pride; the females usually stay in the pride, and often help raise their younger siblings.
A Female goes into heat every 2 years.

Kraken Would be a good Name

The Monster Kraken- I am Still working on a Santh Name for It. I am thinking Esdon- They are... Eight legged Sea Dragons, as far as Legend can tell maybe?

Appearance
The monster kraken is a very rare, very unseen creature. The only way they have been found is dead, washed up upon the banks of the seas. Over 16 Pygge’s in weight, and over 40 peds, these massive creatures are one of the most dangerous, largest, and still Unknown about creatures within Santharia.  The largest Giant Kraken ever found had a tentacle span of 10 peds. The Kraken is able to camouflage itself with its surroundings. Able to change colors from bright red, to greens, to sandy orange. Making it almost impossible to see under the water. The Kraken has 8 legs, each having up to 1000 suckers aligning them. The large suckers are endowed with sensors, which allow the Kraken to reject something if it doesn’t seem right to eat. Their average lifespan is only 3 years.

Special Abilities
Tentacles can anchor the Kraken to rocks, and tear apart prey
Being Invertebrates, meaning they have no bone structure, a giant kaken can pull itself through a tube near 1/15th its size.
The Giant kraken is said to have the largest brain of any NON-Skeletal animal.
Their eyesight is an almost as good as normal human.


Territory
Within deep oceans. The Giant kraken uses its suckers to anchor itself to the ocean floor in which is hunts for food. Kraken roam solitary within their 3 furlay, claimed territory. They normally live in an underwater cave, deep near the ocean floor where they are impossible to find.

Diet
The giant Kraken can eat any sort of fish that it wraps its tentacles around. They prefer harder creatures, crab like animals in which they use their sharp beak to shatter to pieces. Kraken have a special salivary gland in which it can poison its meal with venom.

Habits/Behavior
The giant Kraken spends its day hiding in the darkness of the ocean floor. It hunts only at night and usually crawls along the bottom of the sea floor.  They walk along the bottom or can also glide, by propelling themselves with a jet of water, thrust out of its Gill chamber. If alarmed the Kraken can escape at a high speed. Usually leaving a thick black stream of oil behind it, to try to blind its attackers.

Mating
Male Kraken has one pair of tentacles with no suckers near the end. He mates with a female by inserting this tentacle into her mantle cavity. A Sperm package is propelled down a tentacle groove into the females Oviduct where the sperm fertilizes the eggs. The male dies Soon after mating.
The Female may produce up to 100,000 eggs, which she strings up under a rock. She stays with them for 6 months without eating. Each egg hatches and the young, only about 1/16 of a ped swims away. Joining other small fish and hiding in the seabed. The mother Dies then, starved and exhausted.
The young will grow over 6 times its size in a few months.

Origin
Unknown origin. It is said that these creatures were made by an Angry Sorcerer, bent on stopping all Overseas trade, but they were let down by the gentle Nature of the beast, who could easily destroy an entire fleet of ships

Researchers
Many have looked. None have found any alive. Researchers that have found the dead have done much studying, but without being able to see them in the wild, they have learned very little new in the last few centuries.

When I looked at the Map, It Said Etherial Void at the bottom. I Confused it and Thought that Was the name of the Area. Sorry.
