Mage or Magus I think could be used. Magi is the plural form of Magus.

I am working on a fireplace drawing. And I was wondering, for the floor of the fireplace I was thinking of using a more solid stone in there. So I was wondering if Santharia had any form of concrete or something, like what sidewalks are made of, that I could use. Or would I be better off using a large stone slab or something?
@Grunok: Thanks, that helped a lot. Sadly, now I get to go through the task of redrawing the stones...bummer.
@Kelancey: Indeed, that would make sense and has been down. I think I have moved the line where the floor meets the wall back enough so it makes it look more fitting with the height of the fireplace ledge.
Working on another project while I try to put final touches on other pieces. I am a little stuck with this one.
I know it's still just a sketch and basic at that, but the floor looks too much like a wall. Perhaps when shadows and such are added, that'll make a difference, but i was wondering if anyone had any idea as to what I could do to make the floor more floor like?
I also noticed that my stones on the right side of the floor tended to get smaller, no wonder why it seemed to take longer to do that half of the floor. *sighs*
Well....it may be a little late or a little early, but I got hit with a little inspiration and just had to try to make this.
Sorry if you use a screen size smaller then 1024×768 with at least the left sidebar closed, I already reduced the image size which caused some of the detail to vanish. Click image to see a larger version of it.
The wall that he stands before seems a little off. It's kinda hard to tell that it is a wall, if not for the vines that you have on it. Perhaps add something to show the thickness of the wall.
I honestly like snow myself...though I am the person who can (and has on multiple occasions) go out side in shorts and a T-Shirt and play tackle football with a foot or two of snow on the ground.
As for the Wison picture, I think that it is a very good picture. I especially like the snowy mountains that you have in the background and the sky looks perfect. I can just imagine myself looking out my bedroom window and gazing upon such a scene.
Thought I would post a view links for people if they had worries as I noticed a comment about this kinda thing. So this may or may not help you, just a few different links.
I like the boat example to be honest and I can picture the overall effect.
This classic 1/3 position, whats that? Never taken art class sadly, so not really up to date with some of these terms and Google didn't help much here on this one.
Yes, I am planning this piece as a background piece for something else. What, I am unsure of at the moment. I've done a few sketches over it and I am still a little unsure about it.
I like your idea with the sky and I'll try to work this in with the next update.
Looking upon this piece, I've noticed that the one forest on the right hill seems a little off. So I think I might redo that one, I thank the for layers.
If you have any idea as to what could be the focal point of this, I'd love some suggestions.
Seurat-style? I googled that and came up with a style of painting that consists of many dots that when looked at an distance make a picture. Wasn't really going for this effect.
I was planning on putting a small doll or toy on the right side to show what she was grabbing for, but just hadn't gotten this far yet.
Yeah, I agree with the hat. Going to go and look to see if I can find any reference picture on the net for better style hats.
As for programs. I am am using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and the Intous3 graphic tablet.
Edit: Forgot about the ear. I know the ear is a little off. As I was adding a little shading to the picture, I noticed this even more. So I think I am going to Chapters today and picking up a book on how to draw people, mainly faces.
