I follow the first two, but you lost me on the accents....I've not encountered that particular aspect of jerkdom much.

Who does the Jerk nation have as their Ambassador?

Sounds like you're all over it.  I'll rest assured things are approaching peachy.

The source code on the hacker page indicated it wanted to make several files, systeme.dll etc and shove a longish hex code into each.  Definitely run your various scans to make sure your systems are safe.

Not that this is foolproof...my antivirus told me my new comp had an adware insert in my HP\Compaq recovery files...before I'd even gotten online....love false positives....

Just as a secondary query, Mina had mentioned that some guests had managed to post on the rpg board. Which is supposed to be somewhat difficult. Sounds like someone is snooping and feelign around.

Has anyone tested this board against the various PHP/MySQL db attacks?

AN excellent reference on the rapier:

I'd kind of like to develop this weapon concept as a Bardavosian weapon style.

I have this image of Bardavos, a democratic city of artists, kind of looking down on walking around in large armors and heavy weaponry. Light deadly thrusting blades could easily develop in such a society.

Comments?

Actually, the epee and foil decended from the rapier, not the other way around.

Looking at various sites, it appears that chain would foil (ahem) the rapier, but it could pierce leathers. When faced with the chain armors, softer targets, such as the face, were prefered. It actually developed as a sword to use in unarmored street fighting or private duels.

I could see this being developed in any area where heavier armors are restricted in city (if such a place exists in Santharia).

I had thought they'd actually developed first as a dress sword, mostly ceremonial. But then, as you said, with the lack of armor, they became useful in a way that would be impossible against plate.

Is a rapier blade thin enough to pierce your average medieval chainmail?

Would there be anything technologically unfeasible about a sword equivilant to the rapier?

Excellent.

On that subject then, how far has artistic representation come in Santharia or Nyermersys, in particular. For example, in most of medeival Europe, realistic representation was not that common, really being developed more during the Renaissance.

Just a quick question,

How would the picture be developed? Is there a magical means for this? Does the City of Death have a staff of artists on hand for creating these papers?

I, too, think that I would like to take part in adding my small touches to the world.

I don't have any particular expertise in herbology, zoology, or medieval technologies. I  am, however, willing to research the worldscape as it is and fit the pieces in that seem appropriate.

I also have some small skill at the actual technological underpinnings of the dream, and would be willing to aid in such endeavors should that be needed as well. I've done work with both php and MySql, and would be delighted to delve into those depths.

I've done a bit of artistic work in the past, and I hope to garner some inspiration to continue and refresh my skills in that area in aid of the dream.

I hope to hear from you all and, perhaps in time, join you in your lofty endeavors.
