1  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / The receeding hair line shall be fixed!!! on: 08 October 2000, 08:32:00
I am glad that this sketch is close to what you had in mind. Sorry about the receeding hair line, LOL, I didn't do it intentionally. I will send him to the hair club for Brownies before I do the final rendering.
Hey Art,
Is that what that little square box at the bottom of the post is for? I am embarassed to admit that I did not even see it there. Thanks for fixing it for me and I am glad that you liked the sketch also.

2  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Please look at this sketch. on: 07 October 2000, 19:19:00
Please take a look at this sketch I did at work (shhhhh...don't tell 'em) and let me know if this is close at all to what you had in mind. I would like to get this to look as close as possible to your vision of a Brownie, so please offer any suggestions that you want to and I can try to alter it again.

3  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Barbarian Warrior...Cool! on: 01 October 2000, 22:13:00
Wow! I am a barbarian warrior! I always wanted to be a barbarian warrior. Do I have a sword or battle ax or both? I feel the urge to go out and slay something...I MUST REVEL IN MY BARBARISM!!! Whoops...I think this may have gone to my head. Sorry.

4  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Winning bid was... on: 01 October 2000, 22:02:00
I did try to watch the market for a few weeks by checking eBay for original art to see what was bringing in the highest bids. I saw a lot of comic book related work doing pretty well, so that is what I thought I would try first. I saw that pose of Wolverine in a magazine and really liked it so I thought I would make it my first artwork purely for sale. There were only two bids on it so the winning bid wasn't quite as much as I had hoped ($26.00). I think that I will have to build a reputation to bring up the prices on my work. I think that getting published would really help a lot also. Someday maybe that will happen. I am planning on trying to do some color pieces next and I will probably be switching back and forth between fantasy originals and comic book related art. Perhaps some work used for Santharia may end up on the auction block too...with a link to the site of course. As I may have said, the whole reason I am doing this is to help finance a new home for my family. I have spent years investing money in comics, fantasy art books, portfolios, etc. so I thought that it was time to start making this hobby pay off a little. I have no illusions about fame and fortune...I just want to do better for my family.

5  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / You definitely didn't offend me! on: 30 September 2000, 22:31:00
I am very sorry that I gave you the impression that I was offended...mostly by the fact that I still haven't finished the darn picture. Sorry about that...I took a detour into capitalism. I tried my hand at selling a drawing on eBay. It didn't go for quite as much as I had hoped, but I did get a request for a couple of commissioned pieces from someone seeing the auction. I am hoping to make a little extra money to help with eventually getting a larger home. I promise that I won't abandon Santharia and I will try to get the picture finished this week. By the way, here is the web address to that drawing I auctioned off. If you get a chance, please take a look and let me know what you think. You can see it at members.theglobe.com/dmcc/WOLVERINE1.jpg

6  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Thanks. on: 10 June 2000, 12:37:00
I am very glad that you liked it! I hope that it is what you pictured in your mind when you thought up your owl riding brownie. I will try to have the colored version complete by next week.

7  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Whoops! on: 09 June 2000, 18:13:00
Sorry for the broken link before...Here is the correct one.

8  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Greybark the Brownie on: 09 June 2000, 18:10:00
Please take a look at this sketch of Greybark the Brownie and his owl, Ookpik. I am planning on finishing this one with markers and/or colored pencils, so I would like everyone's opinion before I go much further. I am planning on changing the brownie's face to give him a more mischevious look. <img src=members.theglobe.com/dmcc/GREYBARK.JPG>

9  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Very nice work! on: 02 October 2000, 09:54:00
Your banners are terrific. I especially love the textures...(note to self: Must learn to use the computer for creating artwork.) What program did you use to create these coat of arms?  Anyway, very nice work.

10  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / I would like to have a go at drawing a troll! on: 06 October 2000, 22:46:00
I read your descriptions of trolls tonight (nice job by the way) and I would like to try to do a troll drawing for you. Maybe a couple since there are so many versions of troll-kind. I will try to post a couple of sketches very soon for you to suggest corrections to. I have to finish a certain Brownie portrait first, however, so give me a few days.

11  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Request for drawing on: 25 May 2000, 16:20:00
If no one minds, I would like to have a go at it. It sounds like it would make a great picture to me. I will try to have a sketch for you in a couple of days. Please don't hold me to any deadlines....I am not always the most punctual type...just ask Artimidor. =)
