76  Santharian World Development / The Santharian Library / The Wretched Elf on: 06 June 2007, 06:10:07
Okay I wrote this about a week ago in my franch lesson (that is probably why I only speak one language), I already posted it in the Role playing forum as my first charecter, Aroura.

This poem is of unknown origin, it was found in the latter part of the 1500’s in a small box hidden under a loose floor board in the Library of the Grey, Located within Nyermersys. It is said that the poem was written about the Eophyrhim dark elves around the time of the Sarvonian Wars, it is also said to be a possibility that the poem refers to Queprur, the goddess of death. Other than that it is a mystery to the meaning of these words. The parchment was quite damaged when found but luckily just about readable.

The Wretched Elf

Ears of the dagger point;
Eyes of the fire burn,
Lips of the ruby blood;
The wretched elf comes.

Cold of the frozen soul;
A mind of the sinister kind,
Hands of a killer be;
The wretched elf comes.

Skin brighter than white;
Hair darker than night,
Teeth yellow as rotten flesh;
The wretched elf comes.

Pain in the heart;
Loss of the mind,
Freezing of the lungs;
The wretched elf comes.

Body gone cold;
Soul gone to dust,
Death is to me;
As the wretched elf comes.

Actually I think that does make a lot of sense earth, wind, fire and water, they are the elements, not as in periodic table elements obviously, but you know the elements of the world.

Rakshiri, yes you have got it, she was watching a take recorded at some point in the past that was interrupted by a news report of the bombing on the train at 7:30 am from Birmingham to London.

You are getting so close, although if she was watching a movie then that would not be watching a "TV program" would it, the bombing actually did happen.

Miraran, her husband was not a reporter because he was on a train.

Rakshiri, you know when you are watching TV and when there is some important news they will interupt a program to report it, that is what happened you are actually close about it being in the past but you have not quite got it yet.

Tip: Think why I said she was watching a "TV program" rather than simply saying she was watching TV.

Mina her husband did not bomb the train and there was only one train going from Birmingham to London at 7:30.

Alassiel, I did say it was later that day she saw the incident on the news.

Alysse, even if there were no fatalities I think you would still be quite worried if your husband was on the train.

Oh no I knew I was missing something sorry about that, the answer is not meant to be anything to do with that, that was my own little error. buck I am so sorry, well thank you for noticing that you are better at this than me. Well you can still take another look, see if you can spot what is meant to be the proper answer this time. rolleyes

Okay here is a riddle I heard a few years ago.

A woman drops her husband off at the train station for him to catch the 7:30 am train from Birmingham to London, she kissed him goodbye and went home. Later that day she was watching a TV program and there was a report that the 7:30 am train from Birmingham to London had been bombed yet she did not panic at all. Why was she not afraid for her husband’s life?

On number 2, is the light like a fire and that is the only source of heat they have so the people die because of the bitter cold. Just a guess.
